This is the genuine article not a copy part and the difference is huge compared to the many cheaper copies available- much sharper and smoother and well either extra money
I’ve had a couple of these and they last about a year for me. I like a close shave and after a year’s use, it starts taking far too long to get a good, smooth result. You could probably use it longer, if you aren’t as fussy as I am or if you don’t mind taking longer over your shave.
I can’t remember how many times I’ve bought this product; the foil / cutter needs replacing about annually, I think; I usually replace when the foil breaks, even a small nick could cut …
Otherwise I’d have to get a whole new shaver, which is unnecessary …
Rapid delivery and product is as described (original Braun). Would love to opt for a compatible / non-Braun shaver replacement head to bring the price down to a more sane level but the various “compatibles” simply don’t work well for Braun or Philips.
So, an (expensive) recommendation from me. Sad that these accessories should be priced so high….
Read reviews about cheap copies not fitting properly so heeded the warning and went for the genuine product. Not cheap, but does the job as you would expect from a premium brand.
I never realised how poor the old razor head had become until the replacement arrived and I tried it on a 2 day growth with excellent results. A couple of passes removed the beard and left me with smooth skin. Razor 5 years old and first change of head 2 years ago, now with the latest head as good as new. Should have changed the head earlier as recommended. Great value.
After reading terrible reviews of the cheaper generic I decided to purchase this for my male client I have to shave as his old blade had expired. It’s great and does a nice clean shave. After what I researched it’s definitely better to spend more and get an original.
I’d forgotten to re-order a new foil/cutter, and only realised it was well overdue when I started to cut myself shaving, plus noticed it was not doing a very good job. The moment I put the new cutter on and did a quick test shave was such a relief – so smooth and no pain! I think my old one was over 2 years old, and my stubble is a bit like pig bristles so I should probably have done this a year ago! Anyway, it’s back to how it was when brand new, of course, and I recommend it highly.
Do it now, for the sake of your face 🙂
Expensive in relation to non branded replacement, but this works perfectly as it should. I have not renewed my foil block every 3 months as recommended, not even every 3 years! As a result a small hole appeared hence the need for a replacement. This supplier was a fair price for an original branded replacement and delivery was the following day. Very happy as a resul
I bought my Braun razor series 7 — 2 years ago. The thing is the cutting blades they wear out so slowly so i didn’t realise over the last 6 months it was taking longer to shave each time. Then without realising i am pushing the razor to my chin harder and harder. Well this week it was getting very sore and pulling my whiskers so i couldn’t use it. I started looking for a new razor and my razor cost over 200 so i didn’t want that cost again so i was looking around for alternatives but couldn’t find any as good.
Then i saw this head replacement and thought lets try it and when i changed the head to the new one well i couldn’t believe it. It was brilliant it shaved my weeks beard off no problems in under 5 minutes leaving the closest shave i have had for ages.
A huge fat 5 stars for this as its like i have bought a brand new razor again. I am so pleased.
There are other cheaper makes of this but i don’t know what they are like but i can confirm this one is brilliant and its just like i have replaced my old shaver with the same model but brand new. But it is an original Braun replacement so it should be.
Changing over the head was very easy its the same as when you take the head off and replace afterwards when you clean the razor, so easy.
I shall be changing this again in 18 months time its worth it.
In short, the new set is certainly doing its job well and superior and quieter than that of the old set. As for the second new set I bought, I cannot comment as those remain as supplied sealed in their blister packaging.
Just one final point, I have taken to rinsing in hot water the cutter/foil after each shave rather than just a dry clean and also I now lubricate them before each shave, something that I rarely did previously, so may be that is contributing to the improved performance
