It works!!!!!! Although it’s scaring my dogs to death as really loud when it kills something!!
My dogs aren’t afraid of fireworks or thunder etc. But this sounds like a firecracker going off every now and then. That’s my only big bare otherwise go for it.
I don’t know why but the moths and flies ignored it for the first couple of weeks but now they are almost queuing up to commit Hari Kari… about half a dozen loud cracks per day (sometimes more)
There seems to be a lot of moths this year.
The first fly it caught took us by surprise, the loud pop was unexpected. Our dog must have jumped a foot in the air. Now whenever we turn it in he hides behind the settee.
Apart from that we are very impressed how good this is, very good value for money
It does what it’s supposed to dokill flies! The results are pretty unsavoury looking, the sound of it cracking might cause minor PTSD, the smell of larger beasts meeting their sizzling demise can only be described as sinister, and its effectiveness may result in a fly cemetery covering every inch of space within a 6 foot radiusbut it works! Can’t ask for more than that!
I was very sceptical about this item, but decided to give it a go. We leave our patio doors open during the summer, so we get alot of flys in the house. Tried other home remedy type things but nothing has worked. This product is brilliant (proof is in the picture) I would say it works slightly better later on as they are obviously attracted to the light. My only warning I would give, is that the unit makes a decent crackle when a fly goes into it..but that’s what you get with this kind of product and it definitely doesn’t bother me..just reminds me it’s working well
Far exceeded my expectations. Delivered in a strong box as shown in photono massive delivery cardboard box surrounding it! Examples of the associated instructions show how clear and easy to follow. After foolishly placing on top of a high fridge freezer, and then opening the fridge, causing the zapper to crash to a hard floor I was mortified! However it still worked. Yes as reviews show, there is a loud crack when a fly is zapped, it only makes me jump when near by. Living rurally with animals in the area together with floor to ceiling windows, flies in the house are inevitable. Would highly recommend.
Originally I thought this was crap and it didn’t work. I was going to send it back as was very dissatisfied with it. I literally thought I have been scammed but now think maybe the bulbs take awhile to break in or something but it’s zapping the little flying bastards all the time now and I am very happy with it.
It’s loud and occasionally catches me, the mrs and the kids off guard and makes us jump but it’s a very rewarding sound especially as for a week or so it didn’t do a bloody thing.
If you get one, give it time to break in. I was literally taking the zapper to the flys and they weren’t attracted to it. Left it on overnight and still nothing. Now it’s getting them in the daylight in what is a well lit kitchen all the time.
I haven’t yet cleaned it which sounds gross, but I think having a death pit of flys may also be attracting the others. When I clean it. I may have to retain some of the juicy ones to attract more in the future.
It’s one of the better looking zappers which is why I bought it however still wouldn’t want it on display. I put it high up above the kitchen unit and can only see it when it’s on because of the bright blue light.
Was unsure whether this was going to do its things after reading some of the reviews but have to say it definitely does its job. I get so many flies in my house in summer and now so very few. Have to say though when it does zap a fly the loud crack it gives off does still make me jump but small price to pay to be virtually fly free. Works straight out the box and comes with replacement tubes and removable tray to dispose of dead things. I’m very pleased with it.
Perfect absolutely fantastic. Just have to get used to the bugs being incinerated because you do jump quite a little bit if you are not used to it and especially in the summer however when you do get used to it, it is very effective and well worth the money I would buy another one, but because it has a carrying handle and very sturdy, I can just take it upstairs, it is nothing like any other bug zapper this is the best one to get and it also comes with spares which a lot don’t. I would say you do need an extension lead. , it is nothing like any other bug zapper this is the best one to get and it also comes with spares which a lot don’t. I would say you do need a extension lead If you are putting it on the windowsill, unless your plug is very close, which mine isn’
So I’ve just moved into the country a bit more, less people and very quiet, beautiful but the bugs are unreal, literally everywhere no matter what door or window I open within minutes the rooms filled with insects , so I bought this and I clean it every morning as it’s been working over time durning the night. Best buy, I actually going to buy the portable lantern for upstairs. Definitely recommend if you want to get rid of any bugs in the house
Really easy to clean, really bright so draws the insects straight to it, for 40 it’s a bargain, easy to use just plug and play, outstanding performance and comes with 2 extra bulbs when needed
I bought this as I have a small catering business so it was for security to get rid of any bugs. The only trouble is when it goes off it sounds like a cap going off makes you jump quite loud.
