I bought a different cable for my dads pc as I needed it quickly and this one wasn’t in stock.
Wish I hadn’t, ended up sending that one back as it was faulty and buying this one instead anyway.
Didn’t save any time or money and should of just bought this one anyway.
Great cable, have bought a few of these now and had no issues with them whatsoever.

This is a sturdy cable, it’s tough enough to bend so give yourself room.
It will flex along a mounting arm but just don’t scrim to much on length if you’re wanting a tidy look.
The picture seems awesome, i’ve got 144hz, i’m happy.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI bought an amazon DisplayPort cable as I thought with the cable being Amazon, with good reviews, and rep, I wouldn’t have any issues. At first I didn’t, all was well, but approx one year after owning the cable if the cable was moved ever so slightly the screen would flicker off and on. I could not use the swivel on my monitor or move the pc chassis at all without the screen flickering.

I eventually got annoyed of having to readjust the cable I needed to buy a new cable.

I looked online for a new cable, checked some forums and read that people had issues with many different brands of DisplayPort cables, mentioning issues of the monitor disconnecting and flickering. To cause confusion I found information that said the solution was to buy a cable with pin 20 disconnected.

After the monitor flickered a few more times, driving me up the wall, I took a chance and ordered this locking mechanism cable from cable matters, it works well, no more monitor flickering and I can even wiggle the cable slightly at the back of the monitor/graphics card, no issues at all.

Cheap solution. Cable seems well made. Problem solved.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersI recently installed a new monitor and a new arm for both that monitor and my older one, and had problems with the newer one’s cable constantly falling out. My screen would flicker on and off pretty consistently and made doing any work difficult (aside the flickering, everytime it went off and on again it would shift my screens programmes around). So I ordered this locking cable on behalf of my boyfriend’s recommendation and honestly haven’t had a problem since. It was easy to install and the length I got was just right so I don’t have any excess cable getting tangled up anywhere. The price is fine too. Giving it 4* as I have only had it a couple days and want to test the longevity of it.

Perfect length for going between my PC to my monitor. Can’t comment on the 4K capabilities yet as my monitor is only 1080×2560 60Hz, but my picture is clear and never had issues with it falling out the back or being funky when I move the monitor.

Good quality cables gets the perfect picture on my monitor, originally I was using hdmi and couldn’t get over 120hz after changing to this cable I can now get the max my monitor goes that is 165hz.

    Very durable cable.
Connected to a Samsung 4K monitor and it was able to output 4K at 60Hz with no issue.
Picture quality is much sharper and colour output is more natural than the previous HDMI cable.
Also nice to see a Displayport cable with release clips as these seem to be becoming more uncommon now.

Paired a 1660 Super with a 144hz 1080p monitor and works nicely. Doesn’t feel hollow or cheaped out and is perfect for FPS gamers.

PS: If your monitor isn’t showing above 60hz make sure you update Windows and install any drivers needed.

Very good cable increased my fps on rainbow six seige from 190fps to 230fps also made gsync accessible only problem was my PC case the cable wouldn’t fully seat into graphics card had to alter case but works very well (I was using a HDMI cable before)

Review after a fortnight of usage:
This cable clips in and is much more stable than the stock cable which came with my new monitor. My previous cable was very intermittent with whether it would display a picture and this new cable just seems to be much better build, a better picture quality and provide a satisfying click when inserted into the DP slot.

Cable Matters are brilliant. I bought this to connect a MacBook Pro (2018) with a Dell Monitor (P2715Q) – it is about the third cable/adapter option I have tried. Initially, it didn’t work and so I contacted Tech Support at Cable Matters. They were quick to respond and offered me several possible fixes of which one worked (it was as simple as making sure my monitor mirrored my laptop). If only all companies offered this sort of service. So, as I say, great product and even greater service.

Bought a new monitor for my PC and so I bought the DP to DP cable to be able to achieve the most out of my 144hz monitor. Cable is durable and absolutely faultless. Would recommend.

This is my first time using a display port cable, but it seems good quality, it is also thick and rigid. Only paid 7.99 for the 2 metre version so good value for money. Having the clips to hold the cable in is a good idea as it prevents it slipping out, especially as I’m using an adjustable monitor arm. Item well packaged and delivered on time. Would recommend.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersHardware wise, it does what it says on the box, running 1080p at 144hz but I just have a slight problem with it that could be major.
End of cable has button that when plugged in to my AOC monitor, faces inward therefore unreachable by hand. If you plan to unplug the cable then you may risk damaging the connector end and I think this is a design oversight (they could have buttons on the side of plug like a squeeze mechanism rather than the faces). I will keep a close eye on the cable and see hoe long it lasts for.

Having a problem with an Acer 4k monitor blanking for 5 secs while gaming. Swapping out the cable was suggested as a fix and found this at CM’s very reasonable price. The cable itself is about half as thick again as the one it’s replaced and looks like it means business. Not a complete fix for my problem, as the monitor still does it’s little party piece, but there is a marked reduction in frequency. Happy to leave the cable where it is though 🙂

Had the cable in approximately 30 minutes. Seems like a strong and solid cable. Allows my display to display 1080p 144hz without problem.
Does state on the page that it will support up to 4k at 60hz but i don’t have the monitor to test that sadly.

Item has some clips to keep the display port in place. these seem a bit stiff but at least they are durable and i don’t feel like it is going to fall out.
No issues so far. 8 can’t really go wrong. Will update the review if the cable fails or there are any issues

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI’ve owned mine for three years now and it’s still working perfectly. For the price, this DisplayPort cable works really well and provides much higher data transfer rates than HDMI.

The only issue that I’ve had with it, is that it’s quite easy to knock and even a slight knock temporarily disrupts the display and causes the screen to go black. This wouldn’t be an issue if your monitor is further away on your desk or wall mounted.

Overall, great budget DisplayPort cable which greatly improved the delay I was receiving to my monitor. I would recommend this cable!

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersAfter trying 4 different expensive dp cables that i bought locally this is the only one that works with my Dell 27″ Gaming Monitor: S2716DG @ 2.5K 144Hz

Its a little longer from my default dell cable which is what i wanted and its even a bit thicker which means its better since it has more insulation / copper inside.

Every other cable i had found online & locally was more expensive , cheaply made, thinner and
did not work with my monitor (flickering, black screen)

So i would definitely be trusting this seller and brand for my future cable needs…

Great cable, I ordered one of these to run 1440p at 144hz refresh rate. it can be troublesome to find a good DP cable if you don’t understand the specifications but to put it in layman’s terms: if can run 4k at 60hz it can handle anything lower at higher refresh rates. Hope I helped.

I had some initial problems with this cable which were shortly overcome. The connection between my PC and monitor didn’t seem very stable as the screen would flicker and display ‘no signal’ messages. This was eventually fixed and I am yet to experience any further issues. Cable works as expected and I am now able to overclock my monitor to 75Hz.

It was spot on with my new Acer screen.
Through a normal HDMI my screen was running at 60hz, but with this it was running at full capability of 144hz. A must if you’re into shooters such as Battlefield and CS:GO

I seem to be receiving CONSTANT emails from the manufacturer to review it, so that’s the only annoyance I have.

Great product, does what it says in the description and runs at my screens top settings which in my case is 2k.

Golden Review Award: 41 From Our UsersI was a bit nervous when I ordered this cable because I had problems with cables from other sellers (with good reviews nonetheless). I even contacted the seller before purchasing the product and he answered in less than 12 hours. My problem with most of the DP cables on the market is that they don’t work to the full Display Port 1.2 standard and at 2560×1440 resolution at 144 Hz refresh rate my monitor would constantly blink.

This cable solved my problems. It works just as it’s supposed to, I can confirm that it works for 2560×1440 at 144Hz. I am very satisfied with the product and would definitely recommend it to others.

I have finally found a DisplayPort cable that supports my 1440p ultra wide monitor with free sync at 75 hz! At first it was not recognised, so used another cable and uninstalled my and drivers, rebooted and it was working. Then reinstalled and got up to 75hz. Very happy. Cable feels nice quality, maybe plastic on connectors could be a little nicer, but they are smooth with working latches

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI’m using this with a BenQ XL2430T running 1080p at 144Hz (HDMI cables can only output 60hz at 1080p). It’s been working fine for me over the past few months, I can’t really fault anything.
Get this if your monitor/graphics card can output more than 60Hz, otherwise it’s not really any different to a HDMI 2.0 cable. It’ll carry audio too if your monitor has speakers or a headphone jack. If you have a 4k TV/monitor, just get a HDMI 2.0 cable for the sake of compatibility, you won’t be going over 60Hz.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis item was received using Next Day Delivery via Amazon Prime. Came in a standard Amazon cardboard envelope.

It the cable packaging you will find a white slip and the cable, the white slip has generic information on it. The cable should be wrapped up with a white cap both ends.

The cable is black and is protected by a rubber sheath, this is a durable cable that allows for a lot of bend. Mine has around 6cm until it hits the wall (from the back of my PC) then it has to drop at a right angle to fit into the space.

Be aware that when disconnecting this cable there are some press switches on either side of the connector, if you don’t press these the Display port wont move.

Over all I’m happy with the Quality and performance, for me personally the press switches are an annoyance; but I can understand the need to try and prevent your display port from unplugging itself.

I would definitely recommend this to any PC user.

What can I say, I ordered this in order to get a higher quality connection for my display port monitor. Does exactly what it says and came well packed. Press clips on the cable ensure that it stays firmly connected at all times, The only downside being that it can be a little difficult to unclip at times.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersFor whatever reason my existing Displayport cable broke causing weird stuttering across the screen. The screen in question has a resolution of 3440 x 1440, so slightly more then the typical 1440p monitors. For some reason I cannot Fathom, LG did not use HDMI 2.0 on the panel, so as a result anything being sent over HDMI at this resolution is limited to 50Hz rather then the 60Hz.

Long story short, went out hunting for a Displayport cable but was shocked at some of the prices in the local stores such as Maplin, PC world and Argos with cables starting at around 30. Before even walking to the next electrical store, jumped on the Amazon app, 9.99 next day delivery and was here by 10:30am. Plugged the cable in, set the settings to ensure both sides were set to Displayport 1.2 setting and voila, 60Hz once more at 3440 x 1440. Cant complain.

One thing to note is the Cable ends are quiet thick, as a result it does interfere somewhat with the back of the PCI-E expansion slot brackets so I found I had to move all my GPU’s down very slightly to get the cable plugged in. Not the hugest of issue as its likely my cause causing the issues, but something to bare in mind.

Bought a new 4K TV with DisplayPort recently to connect to my computer (Panasonic Viera) and couldn’t find any DP cables on Amazon that said they support 4K, so I took a punt on this. Despite the seller stating it only supports up to 1920×1080, it has been working fine at 4K for me and was half the price of getting one from a store, so a definite thumbs up from me.

Golden Review Award: 10 From Our UsersAs others have said this is a good value, well made cable.

This has replaced a DVI connection between my PC and monitor and I have had no issues. In fact, better than that, it is sturdy, but doesn’t remember the coil it had in the pocket – it straightened out immediately which I wish all cables would do. The plugs are of the locking variety (this is mentioned in the cable spec, but at the bottom) meaning the plugs won’t accidentally come loose when moving the monitor, but, being a push type lock they are much easier to remove than the screw in DVI (and VGA) plugs on their respective cables.

I can’t think of a reason to remove any stars, so it’s also a five star review from me.
