You can also improve this problem by resetting your mobile WLAN network. Also, updating the firmware of your dongle is worth trying(we need you to tell us your car model, then we will send you the update).

1. Please check your phone’s Bluetooth to see if it is connected to another device. If so, please ignore other auto-connected Bluetooth devices.

Video lag is normal. Because video transcoding is more complex than normal audio file transcoding and takes longer to process, there will be a delay. Even the original wireless CarPlay that comes with the car also has a lag when playing video(if we google this issue, we can easily confirm that). This is the current barrier of wireless technology, not the converter’s problem.

This is being used in a Kia Sportage. The unit is very small. It connects really quickly to the phone and to CarPlay. It has worked flawlessly since installation. There is no noticeable lag. Really pleased with purchase and would recommend it to others.
Very happy with this purchase! It was really quick to set up and works everytime i turn on my car. I no longer have to plug my phone in for Apple CarPlay as this little device does it for you immediately! It’s also really small so it doesn’t stick out when plugged in.

I purchased this Dongle to fit my 2016 Kia Sportage. The item was delivered within the specified time. Pairing the dongle with my Phone and Vehicle was very simple following the vendors instructions. This is the best gadget for your car! I bought a Kia Niro 2019 and despite being super modern and really comfortable it only had wired CarPlay. This was a real bother because reduce the user experience because every time we wanted to use CarPlay you need to connect your phone via cable which was uncomfortable. So I searched for a solution for this problem and came across this device and genuinely changed my driver experience and now every time I get in the car it automatically connect to my phone which is a game changer. If you’re thinking about buying this product you won’t regret it!

I bought this as I was looking for something to avoid wires and charging cables draping over my car. It’s a great little device, does what it say and easy to set up. Comes with a sticky pad to discreetly hide it away and connects seamlessly when starting up and responds just as if it were wired directly to the car.
This adapter makes it a lot easier to use carplay, it connects to the car almost as soon as I turn it the car on. Also, there is no lag whatsoever which was very surprising, I did not expect it to be this fast. This product makes using carplay a lot easier and is needed.
I bought this product based on reviews. I am very into technology and did not want to compromise on speed, sound quality or conectivity with an carplay adapter. I am delighted to share that the connection with this adapter is quick (maybe a few seconds, but i dont even notice when im getting my seatbelt on etc), there is no comprise with the sound quality v using a cable and I’ve experience no lag at all using the device. I ordered the unit because the Carplay in my Renault had stopped working. I was getting no Audio. I rely on being able to make calls as i spend a lot of time in my car.
The set up could not have been easier. Disconnect the current Bluetooth connection to the car and forget the connection. Plug in the smart dongle and then connect Bluetooth to that. It receives its power from the USB socket in the car.
Once the bluetooth is connected, it allows all the Carplay functionality again.
Every time you come back to the car, you just start the car, the Smart Dongle boots up and carplay screen shows.
A fantastic piece of technology.
Bought this for my daughter to use in her C3 as she was fed up with having a wired connection.
Some initial teething troubles but now works like a dream and she loves being free of the wired connection.
Remember, once installed you have to wait a short time for the device to initialise and connect with the phone but it’s about 30 to 45 seconds, not to long but a lifetime for generation X.
This works well in the Golf. As soon as you open the door, the USB activates on the Golf and it starts connecting at that point. As such, by the time you are in that car, it’s already booted and ready to go. Currently using car play with iPhone 12 with latest updates.
Just one thing to point out, if you use Siri to close a garage door or have shortcuts activated to do anything when you get out of the car, these will not function until is disconnects from the unit. That may not be an issue for many cars but for the Golf, the USB stays activated for a while after you close the doors and lock up etc so nothing works very well on the phone until it disconnects. This is not a fault of the unit, more just a function of the car as it keeps the USB live for a bit, so one to be aware of. If your car shuts off the USB right after you lock the doors etc, you will not have this issue.
Other than that, it’s fluid, fast and maps Google and Apple with through it with zero lag. I have not tried music etc as all my music is on a SD card but I’m sure it will work perfectly.
You can use the voice button on the steering wheel to activate Siri too whilst you are driving. Just hold the burring for a couple of seconds, not just a short press.
All in all, a great purchase and product for the money.

This product is fantastic!
It allows me to use Apple Carplay wirelessly in my car without any issues. Before, I had to connect a tedious cable to be able to access it. With this device, that is no longer needed.
There is almost zero input delay when using the dongle and gives all the features that you would normally get with factory wireless Apple Carplay.

What a brilliant piece of kit, installed on my wife’s aged Fiesta as the maps were getting dated and needed an update which this is a similar cost to a Ford update.
As soon as the ignition is switched on it connects to the phone without having to use a cable to connect to the usb port.
Puts on Apple okay and whichever map we decide to use on the phone, even if we have a scheduled task in the calendar it will give the option of clicking on the destination. So much easier for her than trying to add the postcode in to the Sync 3 system.
All in all a great piece of kit and simple to install and use.
First impressions were it was neatly packaged, with clear instructions. I also particularly liked that it had an adapter for USB A to C so therefore I could use it straight away.
Setup was straightforward and it pairs without any intervention from me within a few seconds of getting in the car. All the CarPlay apps work fine. I had one minor glitch where he sound was distorted. However unplugging it and plugging it back in fixed the issue and it has been faultless ever since.
So, I’m happy with the purchase and so would recommend it to others.
Bought this for my daughters Mercedes A Class as she had a wire but wanted to just get in and not have to connect up and off Again each time. The only flaw, which is annoying, but not broken, is that there’s an audio lag of at least one second (sometimes longer). So when you press play or pause it takes a while to take effect. When Siri prompts for voice input you have to start speaking at just the right time (or Siri will stop listening, or will miss the start). You get used to it, and it by no means stops me using the device for short trips. For any longer journey, I tend to plug in with cable, so my phone doesn’t heat up too much whilst wireless charging (wireless AirPlay can use up a good chunk of battery).
I’d still recommend this device; it’s really handy, and the lag is something you adjust to / get used to after a little while.
I should note the lag is just an audio lag. No issue with responsiveness of clicks or navigating the screen/UI, just noticeable when Siri prompts for voice input.

I received this product quickly and was so easy to set up, the sound quality is brilliant and hooks up to my car without issue. I have found this Apple CarPlay adaptor easy to install and reliable. Good size and is easily hidden inside my car. Eliminates the need to plugging my phone into use CarPlay each time I get into my car. Good value for money and reliable. All my CarPlay Apps work and connection is fast.
Simple setup and works well. I have had to disconnect it a couple of times and it is a little delayed in connecting but that is probably expected behaviour. Anyway, not having the plug in for CarPlay easily makes up for it.
I bought this for my Toyota Corolla 2020 Hybrid amd works perfectly with it.I’ve had it connected within seconds.I’ve used it ever since then and i can’t find any issues with it at all.The only problem is my vehicle as the USB position is weird and can’t stick it anywhere so it just hangs freely but as it’s not heavy it doesn’t hit anything so it’s perfect as it is
Bought this as a present for my daughter who has only ever known Iphone’s & has been a joy to use. Absolutely so simple to set up by leaving your WiFi & Bluetooth on then just connect to smartbox & away you go. Even though it’s early days 3 weeks & counting, connects every time no lag or flickering & most important doesn’t lose the connection both on long & short journeys.
About a year ago I paid for an upgrade in my 2019 Toyota RAV4 to add Apple Carplay. I enjoyed the added features but often started driving forgetting to plug in my iPhone to the cable connection. So I searched Amazon for a wireless solution. This seemed to have good reviews so ordered and it arrived quickly and was so simple and quick to install with the clear instructions included. Absolutely delighted with the unit which connects to my iPhone every time,. Makes short journeys so much easier now as I don’t have to keep plugging and unplugging my iPhone. Connects to CarPlay in around 15 seconds and my YouTube Music is loaded within 20 seconds of starting the car. Pretty sure that compares well to the wired option. Got a new iPhone a few days ago and was dead easy to set it up with the unit. Unit is small and doesn’t take up much room. Bought a MagSafe charger for the car and that works great now that I don’t have a wired connectio
I wanted something to remove the wired CarPlay connection for my Volvo XC60. This works as advertised – have used for a while now and always automatically wirelessly connects the iPhone to CarPlay every time. Highly recommended
My only criticism is that it takes nearly half a minute to boot up from turning on the ignition, but I can live with that and it is compact and easy to install.

Once setup it connects fast every time I get in the car.

Mine struggled to connect, to start with, but when I went back to it the next day, it worked perfectly. Great to have my car play wireless and not having to charge my phone every time I want to use it in the car. I’ve noticed it stays powered on while the car is turned off though, so to save on my car battery, I just unplug it when not in use. It does get quite warm / hot when I use for a while but no problems so far and it’s been over a week of using it. I’m happy
A small thing that I really liked about the order was that it came with a small sticky pad so that you can position the adaptor in a tidy place so that it is out of the way.

I received this item, found it extremely easy to set up. It connects easily to my phone and allows me to access music, messages, sat nav etc on my in car screen. I wish I would have purchased this sooner. It’s an amazing product and I am extremely happy with it. I’ve been using for a few months now and it never fails to connect.

I was really surprised by this adapter. After reading lots of reviews on different third-party adaptors, I was sceptical about load times, screen lag etc., but this adaptor exceeded all of my expectations. Easy to connect and auto connects device every time you get in the car. It’s a small unit so is discreet when plugged in. Reliable connection with no issues so far. The only improvement would be to allow multiple devices to connect, as it’ll only allow you to pair/auto connect one device at a time, but it’s exactly what I needed at a decent price.
This is a great product with one really annoying flaw. I’d like most people you have 2 or more using the car then you have to manually connect to the Bluetooth every time you drive the car after someone else – it’s quick to plug in a cable and therefore defeated my purchase.
Other than that flaw it’s excellent. Really easy to setup. Loads super quick and while only used it for a week it’s work every time without issue.
It works that’s good. It says there’s instant feedback between skipping a song and it skipping that’s not true. There’s about a 2 second lag. But I can deal with that. Feel it’s a tad expensive for what’s essentially a dongle but it is what it is

This item was the best item I’ve bought for my van ever , I was fed up with leads keep disconnected from my phone and getting in the way. With this adaptor it’s as easy as just plugging into usb in van context Bluetooth to it and it works flawlessly.
So small and comes with a sticky 3m pad so it can be mounted out of the way although even in sight looks a good product.
Changed the way I use car play and everything is to hand now on screen at any time making it safer to have in car instead of trying to plug lead in , would highly recommend
To make this work is very simple, I just had to connect it in the usb port of my van(by the way it comes also with an adapter just in case the car has only usb type-c) and then I just activated the bluetooth on my phone and connected to this device and from there things were easy and now I can play my own music while I am driving.
Something else that I would like to mention is the fact that when I get inside the van I don’t have to connect every time to this device because it recognizes automatically and it connects without me doing anything and this saves me a lot of time. To give you an insight, sometimes I take the phone with me and this dongle has a range of even 5 meters because I am able to hear the music.
Overall, the product does what it has to so for this reason I am happy with the purchase.
