My almost 3 years old son can open all yhe doorknob locks for children, and he’s too little to be roaming around unattended. He escaped from his room and he was too daring… which was scary and unsafe. Finally we got this, this works perfectly!!! Now I can feed my baby in peace without worrying him getting in danger. Thank you so much!!!! We will probably get more for the door for the mudroom and the basement.

Tried a couple other widgets for babyproofing a door, which were all well reviewed but didn’t work for one reason or another. Unlike the others this one requires you to screw into the door frame, but after that it’s rock solid – very secure and no way it’s going to be circumvented.

They are so easy to install and simple to use.I bought them to keep my 6yr old Autistic grandson safe from kitchen bathroom and my bedroom as hes into everything, so now I can relax a little !! and know he won’t harm himself .

put this on my door leading to the garage, its metal. this would not slide without wax. however once i did that it worked as intended and was really the only child proofing option i had for an outswing door.

Product is well built and takes under 5 minutes to install. The cost is a bit high though. My home has 10 foot ceilings therefore the doors are tall. I think they should include a cord so you you can attach it to the provided hole in the part that slides so you can slide the part without getting on a chair.

My 15 year old needed something to keep her 4 year old brother out of her room without locking her door in case of an emergency. He can open the child door handle locks so we needed something he couldn’t reach. This is perfect because it can be accessed from both sides of the door and prevents him from getting into her room and messing with her stuff.

We have this installed on our front door and it helps keep our 3 yr old from walking out it without having to worry about our other kids from being locked out (versus getting a chain or other door lock). Can be unlocked easily from both sides but keeps younger children from easily accessing.

We use the product to keep our toddler who is transitioning from a crib to a big boy bed in his room during nap/quiet time. So far, so good, it keeps him at bay. Install was simple, takes 5-10 mins with a drill and a screwdriver. And seems to work decently well with our hollow core interior doors. There is a little flex in the door if you turn and pull on the door handle, but not enough to damage the door with the amount of force that a toddler can exert.

Finally a way to keep my escape artist toddlers safe inside the house. They ripped the old hook and eye out of the wall but can’t do any damage to this one. Love that it can be locked from outside the door as well. Husband locks from the outside when he leaves for work so I don’t have to worry about the kids running out after him.

Looked like a clever solution to child or pet lock a door. However this will not work on an outside door because of the weather stripping. So interior doors only.
