Clara Sola [Blu-ray]

Excellent slice of magical realism from Costa Rica.
Clara is a woman who moves to the beat of her own drum. She has a profound bond with the natural world, but her life has been stifled by the Roman Catholic superstitions of her mother and the wider community.
In particular, her sexuality has been denied and repressed. Eventually this force of nature changes her life and she is able to break free, symbolically burning the Virgin Mary and healing her apparent disability via water, earth, fire and air, the four elements.
