Some of the cheaper ones don’t change colour and are difficult to read results. These are brilliant. They clearly change colour and are easier to read against the chart on the bottle

Golden Review Award: 12 From Our UsersAfter 8-9 treatments the pH in my hot tub remains unchanged.
The product definitely has an effect on tap water, I have tested it and the pH of a concentrated solution is significantly higher after adding than before. But my tub, sadly, remains too acidic.

Update: appears the issue was in fact alkalinity (water hardness). Added some bicarbonate of soda to the tub and tried again. Much better results! Please can the manufacturers of the product explain this on the pack? It will help people make the right choice and save waste. Your local water authority publishes water quality information on their website, so it’s worth checking there first.
