My old Kindle had a plain cover in Apple Green, a lovely colour. For my new Kindle, which is much smaller, I didn’t want it to get lost behind something in my bag so I chose this Lilac cover – don’t know why they gave it that name. The background is white (so I can see it more easily in the depths of the bag) with a floral pattern (yes, it included lilac coloured flowers! The magnetic closure seems to work well and automatically starts to wake up and take me back to the last page read. My only grumble is that manufacturers seem to believe the purchaser automatically knows how to operate new technology! A lot of people don’t! We need a bit of instruction on how to do things!
Was gifted a Kindle when a family member upgraded- the original case was uber-jazzed and didn’t match my minimalism (or thriftiness), so searching for a sutable replacement case across this. Very functional, magnetic close & auto on and grips the kindle securely. It doesnt have the ability to fold/prop for reading, if tht’s vital to you. But overall it is only a mm or so larger overall than the encased Kindle so the real benefit of the Kindle is maintained. Great Value if all you really need is protection and not an image.
Fits well but lacks quality. I decided to go cheap on this occasion so can’t complain. The texture is good but it does not feel robust. Will see how long it lasts.
I did look at purchasing a more colourful or decorative cover for my new Kindle, but decided that the price difference was not worth the advantage. So I went back to a plain black cover which is actually sturdier than the cover I had on my old Kindle. Excellent product at a good price.
This is my third kindle and I’ve always bought the official cases made by Amazon after finding third party cases didn’t last long and were obviously not the same quality. I just couldn’t stomach the high price this time. Really pleased fits perfectly, had open to wake and feels high quality. No downsides for me.
Very happy with my purchase, the colour is a bit more yellow-toned for my liking but its one of the best options one there, and the interesting texture of the leather makes it look luxurious. Does not stain if you get it wet by accident (thankfully!) and has no peeling so far. Very smooth. Worth the price!
When given the opportunity to update my 10 year old, but much used Kindle, I jumped at the chance to have a lit model. This model which is front lit is so much better. Having a touch screen makes using it SO much easier and being able to see the front cover of books is a real bonus. No more ‘clicking’ to a new or previous page – just a touch does it. Brillia
If you are looking for something that protects your kindle and looks very pretty then this is for you. I bought it while in Amsterdam and the cover is a permanent reminder of the trip and my favourite Van Gough painting. It’s a tough outer shell, lightweight, easy to handle and as I already said very pretty.
Exactly as I needed and described, good quality and sturdy to protect the kindle. Only problem is the price, I got the kindle for 35 so seems crazy the cases are not too far off in price, but seems to be the case for the majority of cases on Amazon.
If you are anything like me you get so engrossed in the story whilst reading in bed that as you nod off to sleep, you are then woken up as your beloved kindle crashes onto the floor! This is obviously as your bed partner has had the audacity to fall asleep before you and neglected to tell you to put your beloved Kindle away before you nod off!
Well, Kindle n. 4 is now safely encased in it’s new Cobak case. Robust, bright orange so I can find it easily. On / off setting so it wakes up as you open the case. Charger cable fits in well. AND it has fallen on the floor 4 times within the case and it is perfectly safe.
Arrived promptly, and does the job! Good price too!
The case is a perfect fit for the kindle device – and that’s what causes a slight problem. Because the front cover is exactly the same size as the screen, and has tapered edges, it is difficult to actually open the cover without having to twist it to get an edge to grip
I am not sure how strong the hinge section is and, twisting along the edge every time you open the cover, may shorten its life.
Overall a decent case for the money – but not as good as some alternatives.
