These work pretty good. They don’t mess up the wall or wall paper. You do have to read it, and make sure you stick the correct side on the wall, or they don’t work as well. I found that out. I did not know they had a specific side for the wall on the sticky part. Thanks, Catherine…
Command are a reliable name. You know their stuff will stick. Comes in a branded packet and so you know it is the real deal. These are great for lighter objects. Always check the weight it can carry – 225g. Comes with an extra sticky pad for mistakes.
Currently hanging my frying pans on the wall, amazingly simple space saving solution.
Did remove some paint from the wall however, not sure where to focus the blame there, the product, the paint or my error when removing?
I needed these and was not going to the store during the week. I went ahead and ordered them off here because they were pretty cheap. They were excellent. I used them for the back of the closet door to hang some aprons.
I think that the command strip range is brilliant. They do exactly what they are meant to do. I use them for everything, Photo frames, posters, canvas, mirrors, kitchen utensils, pots & pans. They stick extremely well. They hold the exact weight they say they will & come off the wall with no mess no fuss. I’ve had mirrors up for years with these & they are still securely held to the wall.
Great Little hooks, biggest bonus, if you want to remove them, you do not have to spend hours trying to remove the sticking patch.
These are easy to remove, and a nice and inconspicuous.
Bought these to hang Christmas stockings on the fireplace. Not really tested them properly yet though as the stockings are currently empty! But they do seem to be able to hold some weight as the fixing is very sticky.
Once you get used to making sure that you have an absolutely clean surface to stick Command products on and you use them within their limitations: i.e. no more than 900g in this case, then these are fantastic products. The medium wire toggle hooks are great for attaching to a kitchen or bathroom wall and hanging utensils from, the hinges moving through 180 degrees to allow for deeper items to be hung. You get a spare medium sticky pad with the set in case you want to relocate a hook as you have to replace the pad each time you move it. These would also be great for attaching a piece of string to, placing them across a wall at Christmas and hanging cards.
I’m using this particular brace of medium wire toggle hooks from Command to hold small kitchen using items (can opener and whisk).
I’m sure you know the spiel by now: they can be positioned on any flat service and they will hold an item indefinitely providing it does not exceed the stated weight tolerance.
They don’t require use of a hammer, or screwdriver – or any other tool as the strip is self adhesive.
When you want to reposition them simply peel off the hook, discard the strip, and use a new strip to place it in your desired location.
As with all Command sticky stuff which I have used, they stick really strongly, provided that all of the instructions have been followed i.e. the surface is cleaned with rubbing alcohol, allow an hour for them to stick firmly before hanging anything from them etc.
The hooks themselves are not exactly what I would call attractive, albeit they aren’t actually that noticeable, being primarily constructed of white plastic. They can be stuck to virtually any surface (except wallpaper) and it is therefore clear to see that they would serve a very useful function, particularly in a kitchen, given they are marketed as utensil hooks!
Whilst these hooks are very small, they do hold a surprising amount of weight, with the safe weight limit being stated as 900g (just under the weight of a bag of standard bag of sugar). Whilst this might not sound like a lot, you have to remember that the hooks are very small and the majority of kitchen utensils are unlikely to weigh more than this anyway!
To sum up, whilst these hooks aren’t the most attractive, they do serve a very useful purpose and stick securely to virtually any surface. In addition, they aren’t that noticeable, so that’s always a bonus.
Not the most attractive of the command hooks, but functional and sufficient. good for a storage cupboard of shed but i wouldnt have these on disply.
the stick well and come off well.
I have really liked the Command products that I have used. They are ideal for putting up hooks in places where you might want/need to remove them – if you rent property for example, at work or even if you rent a hall for a birthday party. The instructions are good and there is even a useful little film on the product page to follow. Hooks can be both put up and removed without damaging the wall surface (unless you have wallpaper).
These little wire hooks are perfect for small items – such as hooks – and we have used them at work in the our little kitchen. You get 2 hooks and 3 strips. Although the hooks look really small, they hold a good amount of weight and are perfect to use in the kitchen, for utensils. However, obviously, they also have a myriad of other uses and that is the real joy of these products – they can be used (and re-used) for whatever you want.
I really like these little hooks and the reason is that the hook can be adjusted so that you can attach them to the ceiling — something which comes in very handy when hanging decorations or if your normal hanger area is full and you can’t get another hook on the wall you can attach these to the underneath of a shelf to hang extra cup; or filing cabinet keys beneath the desk top, and so on.
A word of advice: leave the hangers/hooks at least 24 hours before you put any weight on them. From what we can see if you only wait an hour or two then the adhesion is more likely to fail, so please leave it as long as you can,
Absolutely wonder little hooks.
I took the packaging to heart and have used mine to hang mugs. There are only two hooks in the package so I bought two additional packets to make it up to six hooks and they’re working great under my cupboard as cup hooks.
I’ve used lots of Command products and the success of this one and all others is dependent on good preparation. I carefully cleaned the underside of my cupboard where the hooks were to go and wiped it down with white spirit and left to dry. Once the hooks were in position I left them for 24 hours to set (the instructions only really ask for around an hour but I wanted to be sure) and hooked up my mugs with a pillow in a box underneath them in case of falling cups through the night. Got up in the morning though to find all mugs still in place and they’re still holding strong almost a fortnight later.
Highly recommend Command as a brand and these are a nice addition to the range.
I’ve used this hook to hang up my tatty gardening jacket in the shed out the way.
It’s been up for a few weeks now and I’ve not had a problem with the hook falling down from the weight.
It was easy to put up. The hardest part was getting it out of the packet.
These are exactly what I needed, for my kitchen. I don’t have a huge amount of space so wanted to be able to hang my mugs from the underside of the cupboard rather than having a mug tree on the countertop or wasting cupboard space.
Because the actual hook is hinged and can hang downwards, I’ve attached the sticky pads to the underside of the cupboard and the mugs can now hang.
The hooks can clearly take much heavier goods but work perfectly for me in that there was no need to make holes in my cupboard to screw in traditional cup hooks and it looks neat and discrete.
A doddle to use and a great space saving idea, just wish they came in packs of 6 rather than just 2.
I really like command hooks and have them dotted around the kitchen, office and bathroom, holding anything from luffas to pots, pans and coats, so these Medium Wire Hooks were a welcome addition.
I know that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but I think these are a bit utilitarian, white plastic and wire hooks, and so perfect for the larder and utility room, especially on white painted surfaces where they blend in.
Very easy to install, just requiring a quick rub down of the install position with some surgical spirit or nail varnish remover seems to work well (check the ingredients) … If in doubt about the remover, try it on a bit of paintwork you don’t see.
One side of the supplied strip attaches to the hook, and the other to the wall, door, etc. Leave it for an hour, and you are ready to use.
Perfect for many applications around the home, and very useful if you are renting of in student accomadation.
These medium hooks take a heft 900g of load, so they are pretty robust.
They come off cleanly, and you can buy additional strips too.
These work well. Some of the other reviews have supplied technical details so I won’t bother to repeat them.
These are fairly easy to use and it doesn’t take very long to set them up. They can support an impressive amount of weight.
So far they haven’t fallen off any walls.
These work perfect! I have a wall mounted oven that is built into the cabinetry on left and open to the walkway on the right. I put these hooks along the right hand side so I can easily find and grab my oven mitts. They also add a pop of bright red color to my kitchen decor without having to mess with nails. I don’t think you can go wrong with any of the Command 3M products, and these did not disappoint. It’s worth noting that the hook part moves up and down, so that may or may not be a good/bad thing depending on your application. It doesn’t both me in the slightest for my oven mitts.
Useful hooks that can be used around the house though you need to prepare your surface carefully if you intend to use these for heavy items. Practical on the backs of doors, inside wardrobes etc. and so far have remained secure.
Yet another very useful item in the Command range of easy to fit and remove wall mountings. This time it is a wire hook which their adverts say would be handy for a kitchen but where I have a need for it in my workshop.
I have been using these easy remove devices for a considerable time and have found that over the years they have gone from just OK to excellent. The only time I have ever had one of these devices fail is when I have been too quick off the mark using it (it has to fix for an hour before use) or used it outside its intended temperature range which is 10 to 40 degrees C. In other words follow the printed instructions and you should have no problems.
I am reviewing the Command 17065-ES Medium Wire Toggle Hook – White.
Here are my thoughts:
^^ These hooks are slightly bigger and come in a pack of two.
^^ The pack also contains to 3 medium sticky strips, so a spare one is available should you want to move it from your first chosen location, or make an error.
^^ They are simple in design: white with metal hooks.
^^ Being bigger they also hold a more, up to 2lbs each. Plenty for a small frying pan. I weighed mine to make sure it didn’t weigh more than 2lbs first. But of course it can be used for numerous things. I also have a hand towel hanging up by one of these.
^^ As you can see by the picture, they can also be used to stick underneath cupboards, so for example, you can hang a mug underneath the need for screwdrivers and drill holes.
^^ The ideas of usage are almost limitless, as long as whatever you want to hang weighs less than 2lbs each.
^^ I just find these really nice to have around the house, they always come in handy.
^^ Great for a clutter-free look.
Overall:
As with all of the Command hooks with a 3MM sticky backing they have this special extra part that hangs down, which can be used to remove the hook without leaving a mess if needed. I like this. In the past I’ve stuck these hooks all over the place and changed my mind about their location several times after. The fact that these are easy to move and don’t leave gaping drills holes behind, is a great bonus. Happy to recommend.

I have used all shapes and sizes of 3M Command Strips in the past, and they are a really handy, quick and easy way of sticking things to the wall. In this case, the strips come with hooks, to allow you to hang things up. There are a few exclusions: they’re not to be used on wallpaper, or to hang framed pictures or valuable objects. This aside, I have always found them to stick remarkably well. They’re rather on the pricey side for what they are (and, although the hooks are re-usable, you will need new sticky pads after moving – only one spare is provided in the packet). Overall though, they’re great.
Pros:
-no need for nails or screws; just use adhesive strips supplied; convenient hanging at your fingertips.
-light yet strong. Can hold up to 900g
-easily removes with no marks or residue.
Cons:
-very basic & plain looking. Doesn’t look good in my kitchen. I would perhaps paint them to make them more appealing
-only 1 extra adhesive strip provided. If you need to move them, additional expensive ones are needed.
-need to buy rubbing alcohol to clean the area prior to applicatio
These hooks are useful for smaller kitchen implements, such as an omelette pan. At a maximum load of 900g they won’t be strong enough for a medium-sized quality, heavy-based frying pan.
You can move them, but they need a new sticky strip each time. These can be purchased separately once you’ve used the spare one included with this pack.
Fixing it:
It takes a couple of minutes to attach these hooks and most of this time is taken up in pressing the sticky strips into place. The strips have colour-coded fronts and backs so that you know which side to peel-off to stick to the wall or hook. Then you need to leave it for an hour before hanging anything on it. You need no tools, but you do need a suitable cleaner to prepare the surface. They recommend isopropyl rubbing alcohol (called surgical spirit in the UK). The instructions state that household cleaners are not OK. They supply a cleaning wipe with some products, but unfortunately not this one.
These are a great alternative to the small suction hooks which are widely available at low cost. The big advantage is that they will hold an incredible weight — 900g for such a small looking hook. They come in a range of different colours, and also look nicer than suction pads.
The disadvantage, which isn’t immediately obvious, is that although they are easily removed from the surface without leaving a mark, a new sticky pad needs to be applied to the hook. This pack of two hooks contains one spare pad, so replacements will need to be ordered if you intend to move the hooks around frequently.
The plastic body of the medium sized hooks measures approximately 50 x 20mm, and the wire hook hinges up and down and has a hanging depth of approx. 25mm — sufficient to hang a medium weight saucepan or to use as a coat hook.
Application is simple. The pads are sticky on both sides, one side presses onto the hook while the other sticks it to the desired (clean) hanging surface. To remove simply pull down on the tab, while holding the hook, until it stretches and gradually unsticks itself from the surface. Be patient, it can take around 30 seconds to slowly slide off, then discard the tab and refit a new one ready for reuse.
The hooks work perfectly, but although replacement pads are readily available they are not particularly cheap.
