Had an old camping rug that weighed a fair bit so needed something that I could carry to the beach alongside all the other items that having a family brings with it. This is a good size and can accommodate 2 adults and 2 children with ease. Great for the beach.
Love this large picnic blanket, it feels soft while still being waterproof. Can fit all the food plus family on here and folds up as small as a usual blanke
Bought this as a flooring for our puppy when in his pen in the garden, too young to be on the ground before his vaccines are completed. This has worked really well, has been machine washed and is very practical. Great value and will go on to be a great picnic throw, or seat protection in the car under the pup.
Very handy to have this in my car for when I go camping or even just out in nice weather for some dinner outside as it packs away really nicely and the attached handle makes it super easy to carry around with me.
I find it easier to clip it onto my backpack using a clip on the handle as the hook and loom which keeps it shut is very strong and doesn’t let it open lots.
The fabric is very thick and does feel nice when sitting on, my friends have dogs and the hair off the dog doesn’t stick in and get stuck all over it which is a big plus for me.
We use this when we go on our day hikes and pack it as part of our day packs for when we stop for breaks or lunch. Light enough so that its not noticeable and packs down to a small size – worth noting its easy to refold and repack. Durable and waterproof enough to lay on damp, stony ground also.
Works well for us for the purpose we use it for.

there is a built in handle, the mat is foldable into a carrying bag, however it’s quite difficult to fold into right size and shape after use
the fabric is thick, very soft and comfortable to sit on, it’s also waterproof, sand proof, easy to clean

We have used this blanket loads this past few weeks, sports day, beach, picnic and nanny’s and more.
We have had spillages on it and it just wiped off and doesn’t soak in straight away.
The size is amazing and all 4 of us fit on with room for everything else to go on it to.
Everyone commented on the size too and how much more room we had.
Will definitely recommend this and buy again.
One thing we’ve lacked for a while is a picnic blanket. We’ve often improvised when we’ve gone to the beach or on a picnic. So when this one came up we had to get it.
The blanket comes folded neatly. Unfolding it and laying it out, it is indeed the 2x2m. The material is thick and soft with a backing. It feels well padded. Given it’s size there is plenty of room for 2-3, maybe even 4 people to sit on it. My daughter spilt a little bit of her pop on it and we wiped it up quickly. It hasn’t stained or marked the blanket. My only criticism is they is not way of pegging it down. It would be nice if there was a few eyelets that could used to secure it. Once you’re done it neatly folds away.
We are really happy with this picnic blanket and it seems a reasonable price for the quality and size.
Very pleased with this product! It was much bigger than I expected and will easily fit several people with no issue whatsoever. It folds up to be small and with a handle so it’s easy to transport in public for outings.
The product is lightweight to carry and when it’s unfolded you have one side with the blue pattern and one that’s plastic and meant to go towards the ground. I’m 5’3 and I can comfortably lie spread out on it for solo tanning during the warm weather.

This is probably the thickest picnic blanket I’ve had, the top layer is a fleece like material and the under layer is an insulated foil – like the type you get in freezer shopping bags.
It’s a shame it doesn’t peg down as I found the slightest breeze lifted it and I was putting things on the edges to weigh it down.
It keeps moisture at bay so is perfect for damp grass or sand, you have to be careful as it is quite slippy to walk on with the underside being so waterproof.
This picnic blanket would be great for camping and placing in the entrance of your tent or even in your tent as extra flooring.
I would recommend it.
I know the advert gave it’s size but that didn’t register until I opened the mat out and wow what a lovely surprise It’s BIG. This really is going to get used a lot come the good weather. There is a damp resistant under layer so even if the ground still has a bit of early morning dew on it then not too much should come through. The top layer is soft and comfy to sit on. The colour’s and pattern on the top layer are lovely. The whole thing folds away in a certain way so that the flap attached to it becomes the closure and that flap has a carrying handle on it. This is a large, good looking, comfy picnic blanket that folds away into itself and is small and compact to store all for at time of review 20.00 excellent you can’t go wrong. Highly recommended.
Lovely big picnic blanket with a nice design on it.
Material is ok, not the thickest fabric in the world, but will provide a barrier to grass or sand on a day out.
It really is nice and big though, and provides plenty of sitting space for a family.
Easy to unfold and fold, one part of the description states waterproof but lower down states water resistant, it is water resistant having tested it myself, great for protection against damp grass etc, who wants to picnic in the rain, so a good blanket for it’s purpose, easy to carry, being 5’2″ I can lay flat out on this big blanket, it’s good that we can all fit on this while sitting, so many other picnic blankets are just not made big enough. ALL sorts of uses for this, could cover seating to protect it. It is quilted, not thick enough to be comfy on hard ground, but most picnic blankets are only meant to put a layer between you and the ground.
Nice looking picnic blanket, we have a couple of these that we tend to use on the beach quite often.
This is a nice size 2m x 2m giving ample room for 2 adults and 2 children with a picnic, I don’t think its really suitable for up to 8 people though.
It has a nice water resistant backing which is great if the surface your putting it on is slightly damp.
Overall a nice product, yes there are cheaper alternatives available, there are also lots of more expensive ones as well, this seems to be priced nicely and I’m more than happy with it.
Wanted a spare picnic blanket as we keep one in the car and the kids enjoy picnics in the garden. And this is absolutely fantastic. It’s a really good quality blanket with a lovely ‘aquatic’ design that makes it perfect for the beach. At 2M * 2M it is perfectly sized for a family of four and it folds up into a small profile. It has velcro and a carry handle when folded to hold it together. The stitching on this is great and it feels very good quality. It’s quite thick, yet does keep a small profile when folded. It would fit in a backpack but expect it to take quite a bit of space. It’s light enough to carry easily and it has a water resistant backing so is perfect if the underlying grass is a bit damp. If the ground is really wet, I would expect it to soak through, hence it’s water resistant rather than waterproof. The material is a little thick and spongey, making it a little bit more comfortable than sitting directly on the ground.
Excellent quality and at 19.99 (at time of review) it’s good value too.
The picnic blanket feels durable and good quality – seems like the material will offer good protection from wet and dirty ground, while being quite soft and comfy on top 🙂

This picnic blanket is pretty big!
It has a nice undulating blue pattern on it and comes folded up with a Velcro fastener to keep it together and a handle on top to carry easily.
Once unfolded it’s a decent size and should be big enough for a family to easily sit and have space. The top is a nice and soft to sit on and the underside has water resistant material to stop any dampness from seeping through.
It’s easy enough to fold back up and although larger than some picnic blankets, still a size that’s easily stored away when not in use.
A decent blanket for summer to use in the garden, on the beach or at festivals.
This is a great large picnic blanket, would fit a family of 6 on very easily and comfortably. The underneath is waterproof which is great for picnics where the grass can be a little damp. Very easy to fold up compact, with a handy carry handle. The top is a soft cotton which is quite unusual, feels lovely to lie on and breathable for beach lounging. Price is spot on, exactly what I would expect to pay. I would recommend this.
SIZE – Our family of 5 have a few picnic rugs, but all our others are smaller that this. I can see that this would give us plenty of space.
LOOK- The colour is attractive.
WATER RESISTANCE- I tried running the back under a tap to put it to an extreme test. It would be fairer to state that the product is “water resistant” than “waterproof”. Where the stitching is water can slowly get through and it would become damp. Assuming you don’t set up on a puddle, it should be fine for normal dry surfaces such as sand, damp grass etc.
WEIGHT – Although not as light as some and taking up more space, even the youngest in a family should be easily able to carry it. It could easily be used for camping to create a cost effective “lounge area”.
