It’s tiny but the birds in my garden have fed quite happily from it. I mounted it on the top of a fence post. It is made from soft wood and needs treating or painting if it’s going to live outside. It looks really nice in situ

I read the reviews before buying this bird table so I knew it was raw wood and painted it myself inside and out in off-white artist’s acrylic paint which is waterproofwhen dry. I positioned it next to a favourite bird perch and added a twig running through the uprights of the table, which I secured against another branch with wire. The birds love it – magpies, robins, great tits – walking along the branch to feed. The robins get right inside. They come regularly for dried meal worms, but aren’t much interested in the bird seed. A squirrel investigated it once but hasn’t come back so I guess they don’t like meal worms.

Very decorative but attracted pigeons taking from it, one nearly hung itself but managed to get free just before I was going to try to rescue it. No longer using it as I do not want to attract pigeons into the garden.

Bought this as a gift for a friend at her request. Liked the tin roof but the wood is a bit cheap and cheerful and I think would benefit from some protection, maybe bird friendly paint? Overall reasonable value for money especially compared to some of the alternatives I looked a

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersYes this is a small feeder I painted it with outdoor paint ,I tried it on every tree but even the little birds and the squirrels preferred the other feeders ,so after no takers I took it down sawed off two of the roof supports made perches from them attached to base filled with seed ,result ! It just fits in the ring of the old feeder theLittle birds love it but then so does Mr Squirrel , since new my cat has owned the large feeder of 17 yrs …..live and let live

It came all fixed together, I myself used wood seed oil, then painted with an outdoor paint and used polytrol colour restorer over it to protect the bird feed station and make it last longer in all weather conditions. Pleased with it.

Haven’t seen how it fares over time yet since it’s a mother’s day gift, but it looks good – looks durable, smart and cute. If you’re really conscious about aesthetic you might want to sand it down by hand a bit first for the bits of splintered wood but it’s fine for use as it comes as a garden item. It’s definitely best suited for small birds.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersIts quite small but perfect for my friendly robin. The small birds can get to the food and the magpies and pigeons seem to stay clear. Took the birds a while to find it though, I had to move it so that the bottom rested on a thin branch and then the birds started to walk along the branch to their food
