Really well made box and amazing value for money. Perfect for a beginner or maybe just for someone that only goes fishing once in a while and doesn’t want to spend silly money on a full set up. It’s fairly light weight one improvement I’ve made to mine is changing the carrying strap as the one it comes with is a little flimsy I’m also going to add a bit more padding to the actual seat bit. Ordered this tackle box from Crystals as I’ve recently started to do some fresh water fishing, and wanted to keep my gear seperate from my sea fishing box. This box is smaller then my sea fishing box however I find I need less for lake fishing. It’s made from hard plastic and has a nice shoulder strap with a rubber pad on it to help with comfort.

After opening the central clasp the central box has lots of room enough to store reels, towels and a pot of bait for the day. The lid is very helpful, it has 4 sealed compartments, these are big enough to fit hook lines into and fiddly easily lost items like swivels, quick release’s and such. The other side is an area which comes with dividers, this is great as you can make each area big or as small as required, for me the one side doesn’t have dividers as it was ideal to store my boilie hooks, disgorger, knife and other larger tools.

The box is strong enough to support my 14 stone of weight and it’s ok to sit on for a short while however I’d prefer a proper seat if longer then say 10-20 mins.

The reason I’ve rated 4* over 5* is because of two reasons, firstly is the finish, whilst it’s good it’s a little clumsy, for instance when carrying on shoulder the hinges have still got bits of plastic sticking out from the mould that would catch my clothes. The second is the lid, when I’ve taken the reels and anything else heavy out of the main area, when the lids open the whole box falls over due to the weight in the lid. It would be better if there was hinges which stopped it opening 180.
