I love this, as does my niece. It’s great quality and stands up alone. It’s a great size also – much bigger than I thought it would be.
It’s not the cheapest, but you are paying for the Disney name, so I think the price is fair considering. The colours are beautiful, as is her hair 🙂
My niece will get lots of play time and happiness out of this.

Beautiful doll. Very much resembles the actress in the live action movie.
Ariel has movable arms and a skirt which easily clips to her tail. Press her shell necklace and the skirt transforms in to her mermaid tail. Cert easily slides back up to turn back in to her skirt.
Lots of detail, beautiful braided hair.
My eight year old loves her (and the movie).

It’s a beautiful doll with a gorgeous face sculpt and vibrant dress colour. The hair is so soft for children’s hair styling fun. It’ does not have small accessories that can cause any choking hazards and it’s also great for someone who enjoys collecting Disney characters. I especially love the innovation on this doll. Any child will love the aspect of having it be 2 in 1 (land and sea) by pressing the shell necklace and they will always be amazed at the mechanism.
What a lovely doll! This is the Ariel from the new The Little Mermaid film which is coming to cinemas soon and even as an adult, I can’t wait!
The doll comes well packaged in a clear fronted package. Ariel is ‘transforming’ in that you can pull her skirt up to her waist so that she appears to have human legs like in the movie. I may have liked her tail to be completely detachable with interchangeable legs but the skirt does give the same effect.
The doll is very well made and perfect for children or collectors. Happy to recommend

This Ariel is quite controversial because of her skin colour, but nevertheless, she’s still pretty, and my 4-yr old daughter can’t get enough of her. This doll came presentable in a bubble transparent front and curved sides box. In the box is Ariel in skin of colour with her long human-like hair in reddish-brown, just like in the movie. She can stand unassisted. And her fins can be transformed into a skirt. The doll is exactly as it appears in its product photos. And the size is just enough for a toddler’s little hands. Recommendable.

I really like the colours of the skirt.
There is a button, which is made to look like a shell necklace and when you press it, the dress of the doll drops down and changes shape so the doll becomes a mermaid.
The doll is big in size and the price of 29.57 is good for what it is.

This is so cute and nice that you get get 2 dolls in one a mermaid and a girl at the same time. That you can roll play and have so much fun my little ones that it so much because my little mermaid is her favourite film.
This Disney Ariel doll arrives in a card backed clear fronted package which measures approx 32.5cm x 23cm x just under 6cm deep.
The front is a curved shape so it would be easiest to put this in a gift bag if you are planning to give it to someone as a present.
Ariel comes with a completely detachable tail/skirt & her hard plastic tail has a flat on the base so she can mostly stand up on it with the tail either detached or in the skirt position.
she has a shell necklace on which is a button. When pressed the skirt slides down into the tail position.
You need to push it back up yourself.
Her face has very fine features which give her a delicate look.
She is very pretty, but I find her expression seems a bit sad to me, even though she has a slight smile.
Her hair is a lovely reddish brown with some fine braids at the front/top & is around hip length.
She is jointed at the head & shoulders only, so very limited in poses.
Little girls absolutely love her.
As you can imagine after giving this to my daughter I was the best dad in the world. For the last 3+ days she has not put the doll down. Assembly is easy once you get it out of the box, the dress/tail just clips in. However they use plastic staples to secure the head, so you do need to carefully remove those from within the hair (we used nail clippers as it was easier not to damage the hair that way).
The tail behaves as the dress until you press the locket on her front then it springs down and open to be a tail. My daughter particularly like the dols hair, especially as it had string which looked like braids, but I would say due to the design the doll does not have moving legs, although it still can stand up unassisted when in the ‘dress’ mode.

The little Mermaid has been posed attractively in the branded bubble and card presentation pack. She has her skirt, that forms the fin part of her tail, folded upwards. When out, that part of the tail will then flip downwards like the photo on the card back. When you want her to have her skirt in place of the tail, then the blue and pink iridescent material, with silver splashes can be moved up the back to her waist. Then you bring the two edges together, meeting in the middle to make the skirt. The other blue stripe side is then facing outwards making an attractive looking skirt. To create the tail again you press her gold shell necklace and it pops down and out.
I love her long auburn hair. It has been parted in the middle and has many delicate twisted braids going down, each side from the parting, for extra style. She has a tanned skin and hazel eyes. The clothes on the upper body are not removable. They have been formed as part of her body and ‘painted’ in lilac and turquoise. The upper part of the tail is also a fixed section and is in sea green colours, with scale patterns.
It is suitable from age three, although I think at that age the child would need help to operate the tail/skirt mechanism.
I am very happy with this model and the current price of 29.57 is fine, in my opinion, for the quality of the toy.
My 3 year old loves her new Ariel doll. The tail can be pushed up the back of ariel and cam form around her waist to make a dress. With the press of a button on her chest, the dress shoots down to form a lovely tail fin.
My daughter has enjoyed playing with this lots! My only complaint is its a bit difficult for little ones to put the tail back so we’ve been doing this repeatedly for her. Not worth deducting any stars over though.

A really lovely doll to go with the little mermaid film. Push the button that is her necklace and see her mermaid tail appear. Pull her dress back up and she becomes a regular doll again. Really well made with beautiful colours and attention to detail. A lovely doll which would be well received by any fan of the film.
This is a live action doll version of Ariel. We’ve not seen the film yet but from the pictures this doll looks exactly like the character, plus it’s got the great Disney quality you get from their dolls.
There are quite a few mermaid dolls out there now with not a lot of differences between them, this one has a tail that turns into a skirt, which is really clever and I’ve seen on the other dolls. Plus no loose small bits that will be lost, which is great.
Some of the doll mermaids you can use in water but this one is definitely not made for that. The clothes are made well and there isn’t my too much plastic waste with the box.
