Good for the price, it is cheap. The tape is very light weight, so flips around in the slightest breeze. The point, to stick in the ground is useless, too short. Would be fine if there were two of you, which defeats the object! My bad, should have bought one triple the price
Not much to say about a tape reel. It feels sturdy enough and winds out and in easy enough. Only slight issue I’ve found is the tape can rotate. If you were using it all the time it could become twisted.
Needs 2 people to use as the end doesn’t have a spike to hold it in place. So one person to hold the metal loop in place & second person to roll it out & take the measurement. Good enough for domestic needs.
I had wanted a long tape for quite a while, but probably should have bought a better one. I have not checked the tape for accuracy but it is quite thin and this doesn’t inspire confidence. The handle is flimsy, but works. Overall, this The tape does the job for a very reasonable price, so I recon it will do for me, but i don’t think it’s robust enough for serious professional use. ‘Good buy’
I bought this tape back in July 2017 and I’m still using it today I snapped The Winding handle a few months ago but put it back together with superglue and baking soda…
now the handle just doesn’t fold back in on itself but winds in perfect… there’s a couple of Little nicks in the tape but other than that it’s perfect I’ve used it at least 50 times… update aug 2019. Still going … ive repaired it a little but still does does job 2 and half yrs after buying. update july 2020. happy to say its still going strong… it is looking like I might need to to repair it with a bit of tape soon but that’s not a problem I’ve definitely had my money’s worth out of this give a helpful vote if ive helped you make an informed choice thank you for reading my review.

We bought this for a single use as we had to survay the garden. For that purpose its served its job rather well.
I want to touch on the negative reviews for a moment. This cost a fraction of a professional one. Because of this, its made of plastic and will not take being chucked about or roughly handled. If you need something for multiple jobs, then spend the money and get one that is designed to do it, or use this one very carefully and respect its limitations.
