I’m so glad I bought this. It was a very engaging, witty and entertaining action fantasy romp. Great special effects and some good old-fashioned model work which was nice to see. I was a fan of most of the cast anyway but here they do not disappoint. Loved it.

It’s a fun movie that I’m happy to watch again. It captures the feel of playing D&D well, particularly the random, slightly chaotic vibe of a good session. The extras like the gag reel on the disc are also fun, so very happy overall.

i’d read mixed reviews on this film, so i set my expectations low, but it wasnt as bad as i thought i think the well known cast helped it, ive seen worse movies than this

Fun, frolics, magic and mystery. Superb team of professional actors really delivering something legendary to bring to life D&D. I loved it, and it turned a very bad working day into mere insignificance… that’s very good entertainment. Next one perhaps? Was that a question? Great production, great scripting, great movie. Just sit back and enjoy.

    Great family or friends entertainment.
The film doesn’t take itself seriously, pokes at and references other sci-fi and fantasy & a lot of D&D lore O don’t really understand.
The characters are really well written & well acted.
I’m new to the world of D&D, you don’t need to be well-versed in it to enjoy the film.

Better than i thought, i grow up watching the cartoon. I love the nod to the orginal with thw characters in the cage minus the unicorn.
The scenery was great and the story simple but engaging. Would love to see the orginal cartoon adaption as teenagers taken to a mysterious world and see dungeon master..

The film was fun, the setting was good enough that you don’t need a lot of knowledge of D&D to get it. The big bad was a bit naff tho.

You don’t need to know anything about D&D to enjoy the film.

It’s not Shakespeare, you’re not going to finish the film contemplating the universe and it’s almost certainly not going to be winning award shows. But it’s hugely fun, has a decent story, passable special effects and most noticeably a superb cast who seem to be enjoying themselves immensely.

If you do play D&D there are enough sly winks from the film that you can almost picture the dice rolling.

after remembering the game and how intriguing the plots could be.
I’ve seen more action and violence on TV channel.
I found this film a little on the weak side.

I bought wrong my fault. Alot of my Blurays say 4K and Bluray. I even have a few black cases of 4K that has bluray as well. Unfortunately i didnt look properly and just bought 4K.
I did watch film on Paramount +, the films ok to be fair not my best watch but kids and D&D game lovers will probably love it.
Of course id watch it again i was probably expecting more violence and less humour considering the actors in it.

    ### “Dungeons & Dragons: Honour Among Thieves – A Spellbinding Epic That Dazzles and Delights!”

**An Ensemble Cast Like No Other:** “Dungeons & Dragons: Honour Among Thieves” boasts a stellar line-up, and it doesn’t disappoint. Chris Pine’s commanding presence, coupled with Michelle Rodriguez’s fierce determination, sets the screen ablaze. Reg-Jean Page’s magnetic charisma is, as always, undeniable, while Justice Smith and Sophia Lillis bring layers of complexity and depth to their roles. And Hugh Grant? He delivers a performance that is both surprising and thoroughly captivating, reminding us yet again of his unparalleled range.

**A Tale of Intrigue and Adventure:** Venturing into the realms of fantasy, the film perfectly captures the essence of the beloved tabletop game, weaving a tale that is both rich in lore and rife with heart-stopping action. Each turn in the narrative feels like the roll of a dice, unpredictable and exhilarating.

**Stunning Visuals & Immersive World-Building:** Beyond the compelling storyline and standout performances, the film is a visual spectacle. The lands of Dungeons & Dragons come alive in breathtaking detail, from the sprawling cities to the perilous dungeons. Every frame feels like a meticulously crafted artwork.

**In Conclusion:** “Dungeons & Dragons: Honour Among Thieves” is more than just a film – it’s an epic journey that transports audiences to a world of magic, monsters, and mayhem. With its remarkable cast and riveting plot, it stands as a testament to what happens when storytelling meets passion.

Not perfect but fairy good film and regarding DnD screen adaptations and finally something that feels well fleshed out DnD story fairly well acted and CGI is realy good in opposition to previous adaptations. Nice to visit Faern again from bit diffrent perspective then books, tabletops or videogames which I had fair share in my life especially the latter one. I read somewhere that Ed Greenwood adds plot of the film to canon so something worth watching for DnD fan anyway.

Good film for watching with the kids, fun , tongue in cheek humour and far better than the old dungeon and dragons film. Slight nod to the cartoon too. Blink and you will miss i

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersAnyone who has played tabletop roleplaying games or computer games using RPG will have undoubtedly have come across Dungeons & Dragons. This film is a great adaptation of the world and how a real tabletop campaign will often go. When watching the film, you can even imagine when the party have to make a skill check and when they pass or fail the role. There is a lot of lore connected to the Forgotten Realms setting and hidden Easter eggs for those that know the campaign setting well.

It is funny and a good fantasy heist film that knows what it is and gives good background information to know about each character and their motivations without being too much for people who do not play the game. It keeps you engaged and has enough variety of both situations and creatures/monsters to always have something to entertain you. There is also a decent amount of practical effects to limit the amount of CGI used, which makes the film look better overall.

The DVD arrived on time and withou damage. A good price for a great film. Has an extra decorative sleeve over the main case

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Film if you love playing RPGs yourself.

Overall this film was amazing, However, despite being rated 12 I would recommend parents deciding if there children may watch this film. especially if they are in their younger teens as some humour in DnD: Honour Among Thieves does contain profanity.

Some things I like about this film include:
    * Interest – For the most part, I didn’t find myself becoming bored with the film at any time.
    * Humour – I found a lot of the jokes in this film quite funny
    * Portrayal of Dungeons and Dragons – This part is what I enjoyed most, for example I found it easy to tell that Doric was a tiefling druid.
    * Plot – the plot was always very smooth and occasionally you could feel for the characters losses.

Some Things I disliked about this film include:
    * Complicated Character names – I personally disliked finding it hard to remember character names throughout the film.
However, these are all just my opinion and you may have differing ones.

Shipping was on time and the package arrived in one peice with no damage.

I absolutely recommend this film for others!

I am a massive Dungeons and Dragons fan and have been for 11+ years. I would recommend, it was lovely to see dnd get the spotlight it deserves. Some truly funny bits.
There were a few problems with the film but they were minor.
If you love DND then give this a watch and see some of the beautiful creatures and places in HD live action.

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersA new fantasy film. Based on the role playing game ‘Dungeons and Dragons’. Which is not a board game per se. It’s been around for a long time, but on the offchance you don’t know anything about it, it involves players playing characters in a fantasy world setting on quests. Through dungeons searching for treasure and fighting monsters along the way.

It doesn’t, as per a panic in America back in the day, turn people into evil satanists.

There was a Dungeons and Dragons film once before. It wasn’t by all accounts very good, and nor did it have a very big budget. On the offchance you’ve seen that, don’t panic. Because this is a fresh take.

Chris Pine and Michelle Rodriguez play two friends. A bard and a warrior. Who start the film down on their luck and in prison. But then they’re out. On a quest for a lost relic. Of course there’s more to it than meets the eye, and that’s the start of the adventure.

This is glorious entertainment. It works. And it works perfectly.

Characterisation. It’s all solid. It doesn’t spend time doing backstories at the beginning. It fills those in as it goes along. The trailer did make it look as if this was just going to be humour but there’s as much serious character stuff and development as that. Any humour does come out naturally from the characters when required. It is an easy comparison to make to say it’s like the first Guardians of the Galaxy film, but it does have the same vibe.

Budget: many fantasy films of the past, most of which went straight to VHS, had limitless ambition and not much budget at all. Those are entertaining because they’re so cheap and tacky [Cave Dwellers for one such. In case anyone’s ever seen that]. This is not one such. This has a very good budget to do justice to it’s ambitions. And it also has pretty decent cgi as well.

Plot: it feels like a game of Dungeons and Dragons. Plans have to be made. Puzzles have to be solved. People have to improvise when things don’t work out as expected.

Villainy: Hugh Grant continues his later career renaissance as a superbly villainous villain character. That’s just one of them. The others carry real threat.

The game: it feels like the game. It’s clearly been made by those who love it. But it still works as a film even if you’ve never played it.

Franchise: this can be said without spoilers: it’s a stand alone film. The characters could return if required. But the story here is complete in one movie. It just sets up the world.

Homages: long term fans will see.

Perfect fantasy entertainment and a perfect recreation of the game. Makes for a great and entertaining film. Not for younger kids thanks to some violence and horror, that’s why it’s a twelve certificate.

There is one extra scene during the middle of the end credits. It doesn’t set anything up. But it’s totally worth seeing.

Languages and subtitles on the dvd:

Languages: English, French – Parisian, Italian, Spanish – Castilian. English audio descriptive.
Subtitles: English. Danish. Dutch. Finnish. French – Parisian. Italian. Norwegian. Spanish – Castilian. Swedish.

    Extras:
Deleted scenes. Three of these. Two extended one deleted. You can watch individually or all in a row. The latter only takes just under four mins. The first one, even though extended, doesn’t feel important at all. The other two are quite good as character moments though.

Gag reel: six mins of outtakes. Some mildly amusing stuff but it does end up feeling overlong, and is just clips of people giggling at the end.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersGood film, but at the same time I felt like something was off.
Maybe everything was just too clean, to polished.

I feel the same way about a lot of films that use cgi so it’s probably a personal thing, they frankly lack atmosphere which this seems to also lack in places.

I generally like all the actors they chose, but big name actors sometimes detract from a film than add to it.

Still 4 stars just missing something to get it to 5.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersIts a difficult review , it was an ok film to while away a couple of hours, Some of the Special effects were brilliant, others (the species costumes) are frankly quite janky. The story was ok (quite good) and sufficiently complex , the main characters seemed ok with decent backstories.. But why not a 5 .. it has all the ingredients , and the D&D universe is perfectly reflected .. but well something is just slightly off – maybe it needed to be more kitch and campy .. On reflection i think that its the Side/background characters, that are bland and one dimensional.. so its a bright colourful story with a drab background (does that make sense). If i had seen it at the cinema i would have been disapointed i think, but on streaming its ok ish. Maybe it needed to be a longer film , idk.
