FAQ

1. Why can’t find an SSD hard disk and read/write data?

The newly bought SSD generally needs to be formatted in Disk Management before use. lt is recommended to format in the windows operating system and use NTFS format.

2. Does this come with screws, brackets, or spacers?

Since each case/system may be a little different, our standard retail package only contains the bare drive.

Why the capacity displayed from the PC is smaller than the original capacity?

Actual usable space may be less than the total storage capacity listed due to Deci mal measurement used to represent usable capacity of the SSD.

Actual capacity calculation: Total storage x 0.93.

Factory default setting :1GB=1000MB=1000000KB=1000000000B

The Fan Xiang S101 256GB SSD offers strong performance and a sleek design. However, I noticed a slowdown after filling about 60% of its capacity, unlike my previous SSDs. While not a deal-breaker, it’s worth considering if you plan to use it near its capacity limit.

4.0 out of 5 stars Solid SSD, Minor Slowdown at Higher Capacity

Brought this to upgrade the original HDD in my Xbox One X. Works perfectly and a big improvement in game loading times compared to the original HDD. Easy upgrade with no messing around or having to preconfigure the new SSD. Straight out the packaging into the Xbox. Put offline update on a 8GB USB stick then started the Xbox in recovery/troubleshoot mode, plugged in the USB and started the update process. Well worth the upgrade at this price. Will definitely be buying another one to replace the original HDD that come out the Xbox that I’m currently using as external storage. I 3D printed the case for it.

This DSD drive is one that works great with Orico hard drive copier (see photos), I copied my systems C drive to this SSD drive leaving it running through the night for few hours and it was ready for use the next morning so now I have 2 tb instead if one tb. Reccomended.

5.0 out of 5 stars Works great with Orico copie

Very happy with the product. I used it to upgrade my internal storage on Xbox One console which doubled my capacity and slightly improved load times on games you typically notice it on GTA, RDR and more.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great SSD for the price!

Product fine. But Amazon BAD. The item was purchased using Prime with a delivery before 1pm. Amazon failed to delivery at time specified. NOT HAPPY!! Time is money. Amazon has waisted my time.

I originally ordered this for my home CCTV system as wanted a cheap SSD which can write and read at fast speeds and although I have not tested this with the official software, all I can say is that it has done the job perfectly and for the price it’s truly amazing! Would definitely buy again!

If you are all budget, and looking to back up your files this is the item you should buy.
Okay it’s not the fastest I’m probably not the best one out there but for the price I think you can’t beat it okay if you’re running this business it wouldn’t be for you but if you’re a Home user just to store or back up some of your photos or files You can’t go wrong with this
I can’t show you a photo of it as it’s tucked away way back behind everything else. You wouldn’t see it if I took a photo either. Hope this helps you

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI have run SSD hard disks for many years. It is generally hard to get good performance until the USB 3.2 Generation 2 came out. This SSD has been identified by MS Windows and formatted to NTFS system with a GPT partition table. Hooked it to Linux Mint the drive works seamlessly. The write speed has surpassed 350MB/s in my case. The speed depends on the file size and small files can slow down the speed considerably. In USB 3.0 it is generally very difficult to have write speed exceeding 200 MB/s. So this Fanxiang SSD does delivered and at a knocked down price too.

In the past I usually ordered my SSD directly from China and save quite a bit of money. Nowadays the price differential is small and Amazon is selling the same products at competitive price too.

I bought this mainly for gaming and didn’t want to break the bank and it honestly ticks all boxes. Read/write is pretty snappy, easy install into PC and games run nicely from it.
It feels a little less physically substantial than pricier brands, super lightweight and plastic-y but for the price you’d expect build quality to be lacking.
Overall if you’re on a budget and want your money’s worth you can’t go wrong, the 2TB version is less costly than a 1TB version of other brands.
    Would highly recommend.

Bought it for use with a Mac Mini Dock to sit on top of my M1 Mac Mini. Works very well and much faster than my external HDD which I now use as time machine backups as that function does not need the high speed of an SSD. Very happy with this brand so far. Would buy again.

It did not take long to install this drive to replace an old and worn HDD. I could have cloned it from the old drive in my Tooploo but I wanted to upgrade frfom 8.1 to 10 so I started afresh and to be honest, I am glad I did. I have started loading some othe programmes but not nearly so many as before which means the laptop is very fast. How long will it last? How long is a piece of string? It works well and has all the space I expect from it. The Fanxiang is a good quality but low priced SSD and yes, I would recommend it.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI was a little wary about buying a cheap Chinese drive I had never heard of but searched the net and found good reports about Fanxiang and after deciding that most well known drives would probably also be made in china went ahead and ordered it.
I fit it into my Asus mini PC and started to transfer Tb’s of files from my old drive to this, I really couldn’t believe that the files had copied over it was so fast. Just hope it has a long life.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersInstalled this along with 16gb 2x8gb ddr sodimms in an Acer v5 571 i3 1.7 GHz laptop. Before, boot up and shut down times were drastically slow as well as performance in general with 6gb ram.

After….. This laptop is now on steroids. Speed is incredibly better.

I placed this drive in an external dock and used disk management to initialise it and format it NTFS.

I then used EaseUS ( there are free cloners ) to clone the laptops internal drive to the SSD.

Then it was the scary bit of dismantling the laptop to change drives. This was pretty difficult due to placement of the drive but after watching a YouTube video, sussed it out and placed this drive in. Fitted fantastically perfect.

Booted up to super fast laptop so happy days.

After buying this drive I might consider buying the 169 4TB for my other laptop the drive is that good.
