As you’d expect from Fender, it works. However, by comparison with other tuners it seems small and the graphics a bit outdated. Not the easiest to use or best value.

Good little tuner, this baby does the job nicely. Been a long time since I last bought a tuner for my guitar. And this fella does the job nicely without the background as it works off vibrations from the guite

Nice little bit of kit, just a shame it didn’t come with a battery. Which is the only reason I knock off a star. Other tuners I’ve bought came with a battery. Other than that really good little tuner.

Could be better, could be worse …. Accurate response and easy to tune perfectly . The only downer would be the viewing angle when tuning ! Could have been made so much better with some form of adjustment on the tuner instead of being fixed

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersMy last tuner came to a sticky end at the hands of an overactive grandchild so did my research on quality and price and bought this Fender tuner. First problem was trying to get the protective plastic off the screen – tab not long enough to grab to pull off with ageing hands. Next grumble is putting the battery in – the holder doesn’t just slide out and stay put, it comes right out and I spent ages trying to work out how to put it back in and of course how to fit in the battery at the same time. Leaflet talks about matching -/+ but I couldn’t see any sign of the symbols (again age could be to blame!). Anyway I eventually figured it out and it fitted snuggly and firmly onto guitar. My only other negative, and again possilbly age is coming into play, is that the screen is smaller than my last tuner and in normal guitar holding position, I struggled to read it at the end of neck of guitar. Despite those negatives however, I would recommend it, as once set up and my glasses on, it was easy to tune the guitar and great to hear it back in good voice once again …… Even if I wasn’t!

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersFits on the head stock and the screen can be adjusted to any angle for easy viewing. Using chromatic tuning it is easy to tune a 12 string to a standard tuning or indeed any other tuning. Have also used it to tune a five string banjo as well as a six string. Have used phone tuners in the past and an old tuner using a built in mic but this is much easier and more efficient to use.
I used to perform many (so, so many) years ago and this would have been a real boon then as it works even in a noisy environment. These days I am dusting off instruments I haven’t really played for years, bit of nostalgia creeping in, but it helps a lot if you can keep the nostalgia in tune.
The tuner is tiny, but the screen is easily big enough to be seen, showing the note being played and whether it is sharp, indicator to the right, or flat, to the left and a steady green screen when the note is perfect.
It is inexpensive, seems well made, is tiny enough to fit in any instrument case, and, checked against phone tuners, microphone tuner and by ear on a keyboard, is accurate. It is also from a well known guitar manufacturer which instils a certain degree of confidence. All in all highly recommended.
