Bought eight months ago to replace the drive in a Lenovo laptop. Along with replacing Windows with Linux, it turned a very slow machine into a very usable quick one. No problems at all, so far.
Value for money. Used to built out a micro pc to run a simple audio Plex Media Server so I didn’t need anything fancy.
I’ll regret not spending another 10 to double the storage to 512Gb, but 256Gb is more than enough for my current needs.
Perfectly simple ssd to upgrade a sluggish disc drive. Rapid fast, no issues putting windows 11 to give my older pc a new lease of life.
Great value for money, hopefully get the longevity out of it.
Using it as my system drive. My first SSD, I was astounded with how quickly the PC booted and how quickly it would load games.
Get a 1 or 2tb though if you can spare the extra money
So far so good, bought this SSD for storing my Steam games on as my boot SSD with Windows was starting to get low on space and a lot of games struggle to run from hard drive now.
So far the SSD is excellent, Windows and the motherboard have detected it correctly and I’ve moved my Steam games over to it and freed up a ton of space on my boot SSD, to the point I’ve been able to split it down the middle for potentially experimenting with Linux down the road.
Will update the review if anything develops but otherwise an excellent product.
I attached a screenshot for a speed test of the 1TB M.2 SATA on one of my partitions, which seems to be reasonable. Let’s hope those SMART thresholds when compared to current vs worst figures mean that the SSD is still good as indicated
I bought this for my laptop to expand my storage. Speed performance and quality are all about what you would expect from an SSD. Though prices are still too high per unit storage compared to traditional hard drives.
I wanted a cheap way to revamp an old XP laptop with a 60gb IDE drive. I cloned the drive to this 256gb M.2 Sata and put it in a IDE caddy. Now the laptop boots up quickly and has huge storage with much better response. The battery life looks longer too, due to lower power draw of a SSD.
Old HP 250 G5 laptop took ages to start up and load programs. Now press the button and 7 seconds it up and running — Best this I could have done and much cheaper than a new laptop.
Arrived on time and well packaged. I needed a cheap SATA m.2 SSD for a Beelink mini PC. This fitted the requirements exactly. Simple to fit, and installed Chrome Flex OS. Works a treat, giving me a simple and easy-to-use cloud station.
Chosen on price alone, I wasn’t too concerned about performance or capacity – just as long as it works.
For 18.99 and a bit of fiddling downloading a new os for my laptop that went corrupt you really can’t complain.
Breathed new life into an otherwise useless broken laptop.
I would by again.
Works well made my laptop lightening fast really happy , but beware you need to clone your old ssd or hdd before fitting , i used a free trial clone program , be careful there are a lot of con trial programs out there , easy to do and brilliant when in place.
