This fingerlings monkey toy is cute and vibrant and would be great for both boys and girls under 10 and over 3. The noises it makes are annoying to a parent but enjoyable by kids because it’s high pitched and repetitive but if it is played with in another room it’s fine. There’s very little actual activities to do with these monkeys but for some reason they’re still intriguing and entertaining for the kiddos in my life. My 10 year old has several and her much younger cousin has started collecting them now too. They last long enough to be hand me downs and are durable.

This little guy is cute. My son spent the whole first day he had him talking to him and asking him questions lol. The newness wore off and he doesn’t really mess with it anymore but it’s adorable and does everything they say. It depends on how much ur kid is into things like that.

When Fingerlings first came out 6 years, my wife instantly fell in love. So did everyone else, it seemed. THose things were almost impossible to find, and the ones that weere located were being scalped for up to 10 times MSRP. As much as I love my wife, we decided the cost was too high. When I saw an updated version of the fingerlings came out this year, I jumped at the opportunity. My wife loves this little creatures. With presses and and rubs on various parts of its body a variety of responses cane be obatined. It also has a built-in position sensor to allow the toy to know if it is upright, laying down, or even upside-down. Responses and volcalizations change with position as well. THe construction is excellent, and size was about what was expected. If your child, grandchild, or *significant other* wants one, it is an excellent value and you will not be disappointed.

I got this to give to our 4 year old neighbor.

My kids got them when they first came out and still have them. They are small enough to keep with small stuffed animals and when you have more than one it seems like they interact more.

-You can hang them from things .
-they do quite a lot of little things like sleep, burp and make funny noises. You can shake him and he gets upset. Make him sleep and wake him up.

This guy can be a fun companion for car trips and even places that can be scary for littles as a comfort animal to keep them distracted.

The batteries say quite a while and can be changed.

I would recommend this or ages 3 and up.

    Fun with friends

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersWe bought one of the original Fingerlings (a purple one) for my oldest daughter six years ago when they first came out. She LOVED it! When we saw a wall of them at Macy’s, they caught my son’s eye and we ended up getting one for his fourth birthday. He really likes it (we bought the blue one with the green hair) but I will say that the child who probably loved it most is my youngest, who is 1. It’s the perfect sensory toy for a young child, since there is wide variety in the sounds and reactions it makes. Recommend this toy, it’s inexpensive and buys you solid distraction time for young kids!

It keeps my kids busy so I am all about that!
To me it seems like it should do a little more or at least have a little bit more of instructions to show what can be done with this toy. That would’ve helped out a lot.

Other than that the kids love to fool around with this toy. And they enjoy it so I guess that’s all that matters!

This little blue monkey is a huge hit with my three-year-old. My son carries it with him around the house and likes to pet it, talk to it and put it to bed. With it’s velvety head, adorable, yellow tuft of hair, and big blinking eyes, this petite robot has tons of interactive personality. I like the cute, monkey sounds that aren’t too loud and especially its little light-up heart that beats when it senses touch. I also like that this has a sliding power switch and also has an auto-off function and a sleep mode, so the batteries won’t run out it my son sets this down somewhere and leaves it. This takes four LR44 batteries, which are included so this is ready to go straight from the box. This would make a great gift.

This toy is probably suitable for the 5-8 year old range. My kids had fun with it for a while, but we didn’t get hours of entertainment from Leo. This would make a good gift and is a fun toy. I didn’t have any issues getting ours to work and it was a good distraction but you do need to be mindful that it kind of noisy.

This is a great gift for 3-7 year olds. My boys had the originals, when they were the #1 must have toy. Holds onto finger tightly and makes adorable sounds and eye movements. Price point is a little high for what is, but I would still recommend for the 3-7 year age group, as a fun toy, though can get a little annoying for parents!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI got this Fingerling, Leo, just this week. It’s really cool. It has a deeper voice, and says a bunch of cute sounds including “was up” which made me laugh. There are so many sounds, definitely the 70+ they claim. I’ve been playing for awhile, and I still haven’t heard a repeated sound. My favorite thing is when it says some form of “hello” when you put it onto your finger, that’s so cute. Definitely a toy that kids can play with for hours. Highly recommend.

My eldest niece was OBSESSED with Fingerlings but she’s now 15.. Decided to get the new one for my now 6 year old nephew. He LOVES it. The soft furry head is great. Pretty sure they do more than the original ones too. Highly reccomend!
