I had to replace a now discontinued model IAR230C, which should have been replaced in 2012. It had been superseded twice by new models and I was worried I couldn’t find an equivalent model. Fortunately, the KF20R was a suitable replacement. The connecting plug fitted the old model as did the ceiling mount. Very happy with the purchase.
I hadn’t realised that the mains unit’s had a limited lifetime until my one went off in the middle of the night. Taking it down it had a replace by 2016 sticker on, had never thought of taking them down to check that didn’t know you needed to. Happy sticking with the same brand I could use the existing fixing plate on the ceiling. Although the old electric connection fits it has to be replaced with the new one supplied or the lithium rechargeable battery doesn’t get charged
