Had a fruit fly problem and these have been great. I ran out of the original fluid but a bit of dish soap and a capfull or 2 of red wine and they do the job
I was going to spend loads of money on some other gadgets and then found this which seemed cheap enough to try.
We have a huge problem with fruit flies and these little traps not only work brilliantly but they also look great. You only get a small amount of liquid so I’ve been using apple cider vinegar and it works so well!
What’s more the flies prefer this to my fruit bowl so they aren’t lingering around my food which is fab. I would hug the founder / maker if I could – absolutely brilliant solution.
I bought these for my shared uni flat where fruit flies are a problem every summer. Last summer I used vinegar and dish soap and it was OK but this summer was even worse so I bought this.
I put 10 drops of the solution in each trap with 5ml water and 2 drops of soap and within 5 days, each trap had at least 10 flies each. I didn’t notice the difference straight away but I do now. I only refilled them after those 5 days too so a few drops lasts a while and now the place is fly free!
I like it how the instructions come with other options instead of the drops so you don’t have to rebuy when you run out. Wish I’d bought these sooner!
(The stickers don’t work but the solution inside does the job brilliantly!)
Just got this yesterday as had a severe fruit fly infestation in the house. The order arrived quickly but not enough to tackle the problem organically so I had resorted to spraying to get things under control. So by the time I set it up the vast majority of flies were gone but there were a few in the container at end of the day.
I will update again when I have more data.
The provided solution is small and appears to have some vinegar base but isn’t very strong no in comparison to the balsamic vinegar solution I had been using in an espresso cup. The flies based on personal experience do love the balsamic but it’s very strong so when you replace maybe try cider vinegar which I’m going to try next.
For long term use I like the design of these traps. As another reviewer commented there was some thought put into the design. If the flies enter into the side holes they’ll get trapped and drown and the sticky part acts as a backup.
So all in so far I’m pleased with these traps especially for the price.
I was having a serious problem with fruit flies and was so relieved when I discovered this fruit fly trap. I bought the sticky fly traps right away and it was so easy to assemble. Fruit fly catcher worked immediately and the flies disappeared in seconds! I was so impressed with this gnat sticky traps!
I like indoor plants, but I hate the small flies that come with them. They constantly fly around me and land in my food and drinks. Until I purchased this fruit fly trap, it really stuck small flying insects and the effect was very good!
