The box it arrived in was huge, and I was worried about the size. When I opened the box, the machine wasn’t taking up all the space, but it was alot larger than I expected. I got it for a temporary accommodation that I’m staying in as going to the launderette is just a pain, so I had a space where it could go near the sink, which was ideal as you do need somewhere to drain it into, and takes far too much water to drain into a bucket. All in all a wash takes around an hour if you are doing a wash, drain, rinse, drain and spin cycle. The settings are quite simple – there is a dial to select spin, wash or drain, then a separate dial timer for the wash cycle which goes up to 15 minutes, and then a separate dial timer for the spin cycle which is 5 minutes. It takes around 5 minutes to fill and you will need a hose lock tap adaptor to connect the supplied inlet tube to your tap. These are about 11 from Screwfix, just be sure to get the right one for your tap, and also right size for the hose. It does leave some lint behind, more so than a conventional washer. And whatever you do, don’t make the mistake of leaving a tissue in any of your pockets as it’s a nightmare to get out of your clothes between wash and rinse. The spin gets clothes dry enough that hanging them out inside on an airer will dry them after 6 hours or so, but I bought an electric heated airer also from Amazon which does a great job of drying in a fraction of the time.
