Looks a good product for the price
The colour gauge on the measuring puller is a nice touch.
Will be getting used everyday at work so hopefully will be up to the job unlike a cheaper one I bought which only last a couple of weeks!
I actually use this as a wheel-building tool. Sometimes I work on old wheels and need to measure the depth of the rims and the spoke depressions. This is a very quick and accurate tool perfect for this application.
Everyone should check their tyre tread depth regularly – it can literally be a life saver!
A digital gauge leaves no margin for error – checking by eye or using a ruler just won’t cut it, and at the price it’s an absolute must. Would recommend.
This is a great little gadget, good value, easy to use and very accurate, used it to check my tyres before car MOT as I had been ripoed off before saying tyres were illegal. Won’t get that happening again thanks to this. Would highly recommend.
Having struggled with the small analogue devices for a while, I bit the bullet and bought this. I honestly wish I’d bought it years ago, it has made checking my tyre depths a whole lot less stressful.
No more having to squint at small numbers, searching for the reading glasses, the display couldn’t be clearer to read.
To use, you switch it on, push the measuring tab at the back to reveal the depth ‘pin’, push the device against a solid flat surface (and it needs to be properly flat, not textured) and press Reset. Check the display is 0.00 and then you’re ready to check your tyre depths. Pop the gauge unit on top of the tyre, over one of the tread gaps, and push the measurement tab down gently until it stops. Your tread depth is then displayed nice and clearly on the display and, importantly, it stays there more than long enough to read it.
For what it’s worth, it measures up the same as the analogue devices I have, so unless they are all wrong, it appears to be accurate enough too.
