I bought this as a second tv. The main tv is in the living room and cost 4x as much as this tv. I was expecting a pretty low quality picture and sound but was pleasantly surprised. Yes it’s not perfect but at 300 it’s pretty damn good.
I bought a high sense TV a few years ago via Amazon and was impressed with the value for money it offered. As a friend pointed out Samsung an LG we are new to the market a few years ago so it was worth taking the chance. Perhaps the picture quality et cetera might be better with one of the other brands but for the price point it is very hard to beat. I am more than happy with the TV and remote and its interactivity.
Great TV! Picture quality is amazing! Delivered next day and arrived in mint condition. Easy to set up. Bought the Hisense soundbar to go with it. Great purchase. You won’t be disappointed with the quality and price.
Really good picture , sound isn’t bad either . The feature i love is when you switch off , instead of going straight off it closes like 2 curtains closing on a stage , nice touch
Arrived really well packed and protected and set up within one hour
Easy to connect using supplied QR codes and sound and picture quality really good as expected Wi-Fi connectivity straight forward
Delivery from Amazon was very good, TV is excellent very easy to set up, picture is as good if not better than some of the more expensive ones, the sound is very good although I do like to use my Sound bar but this TV is perfectly fine with its own sound, I cant find a single fault with it and would highly recommend it loving the larger 55 inch my old TV was a 49.
Auto setup out of the box fairly straight forward. Picture quality is excellent with amazing detail once the settings are optimised- factory settings produced over saturated colours which I toned down. Built-in sound not bad although I use a sound bar for best results. Overall very pleased – Good value purchase particularly if you’re on a tight budget.
I was a bit apprehensive going into this range of TV but getting it during Amazon Prime with 300 knocked off felt like an opportunity that couldn’t be missed.
I do not regret my decision, the picture quality is stunning, particularly when I am sim-racing and the game mode with anti-lag automatically engages the moment I switch my input to a game on my PC.
The audio I haven’t dabbled with since I am using a soundbar.
There is a nice selection of settings to dabble with and it is worth spending the time messing about with them to get the picture you would like.
Great TV, would highly recommend.
Have had a Hisense TV for over 5 years and was ready for an update. Logical choice was this TV and it does not disappoint. Excellent display with good vivid colours and clear detail – very happy with purchase
I had a Samsung and it died just over the warranty period so was quite disappointed as I would have had to send the tv off and pay for any repairs.
So far so good with this tv. First time buying this brand and picture quality is as good if not better than Samsung.
Best television i’ve owned. The set up was fairly straightforward, just a few terms and conditions to accept and the television did a system upgrade.
The picture is great, really clear and the colours are bright. Only thing i can think of to improve would be the sound, its not bad but i think i might get a sound bar or link an Amazon speaker at some stage.
I would recommend the television.
Great TV especially satellite TV the free UHd channels are absolutely amazing and the setup was very easy also you have favourites to put all the channels you want into as there is hundreds of channels slot you wouldn’t want but favourites mean all your channels are easily available
I had to pull the power to it between every movie we watched, it’s plugged into a very good quality SSD drive and continued to reject file types until you pull the lead out. Simply turning it off and on has no effect.
I’m used to extremely high end tech, this makes all the promises and admittedly has a superb screen, but the firmware/software desperately needed to be updated so that it actually worked.
So yesterday I sat down to watch a film and it notified me of an enormous software update. Having had the upgrade, it is absolutely fantastic, it’s as good as an LG or Samsung, for sub 400 now that it works was a serious bargain. No more glitches or crashing.
So long as you connect yours to a network for the update, I would strongly recommend one of these, extremely good value. The sound is rubbish, same as all TVs, but I have it connected to a 11.1 cinema system and it’s now way better than my old LG.
The picture quality is definitely its biggest selling point, gaming being second. The game mode is great, it seems to make the screen slightly more responsive and smoother. It brightens the screen slightly too to make it more vibrant.
The sound is much better than I anticipated, I put off buying a sound bar and now I don’t think I will purchase one at all. It’s loud and crisp, no muffling. I found a tool in settings that makes voices louder so you can hear words way better from the TV. A lot of shows and movies have loud music and sound effects, so you can’t really hear the actors clearly, but this makes it much better to listen. It’s easy to find in settings.
When you are on menus and scrolling through things like Netflix or changing the volume, the actions are slightly lagged, which can result in overcompensating by pressing buttons multiple times to do what you want. This has happened twice now, but it certainly isn’t putting me off of keeping the TV.
This is most likely my biggest purchase of the year and quite frankly, I don’t see any problems with this TV. Lag is common on Smart TVs and this one, sadly, is no exception.
I’m definitely telling my tech-loving friends to consider getting this TV as it’s perfect for those on a budget who want a very good TV.
I have decided to updated my review after some time of usage. It is quite good for the price, great white, blacks and colours.
Only problem is the HDR, it makes image too darks, so if you use an external app like Roku express to handle the smartTV you can disable the HDR. Apart from that, really good
It’s a good TV for the price, takes longer to open up apps like Disney plus. I don’t like the sound of this TV as it sounds like my phone’s sound when the speakers r on. But for the price I can fault it. Picture quality for a tv worth 350 pounds is great. It’s my bedroom TV, so no issues.
Simple to operate, sets itself up, I had no problems doing that and I’m in my 60’s. Very happy customer indeed, I highly recommend it.
The screen tech is top notch.
The build quality isn’t bad.
The software is laggy and often freezes.
The audio is T E R R I B L E!
I was on a budget and I am extremely happy with the result. The software gets more responsive the longer the TV is on but I will definitely have to buy a soundbar in the future.
If you can afford Samsung or LG I would advise you do it. But if you’re on a budget this is perfect!
If you are expecting the world like you get with a top of the range Samsung, Sony etc then don’t bother with this TV.
If you are just wanting a decent TV with the newest Smart TV Features, good size screen and decent picture quality and decent sound.
Then this is the TV for you.
If you want to spend a bit more money, for a higher quality TV then do that,
In hindsight, I should of paid an extra few hundred and bought a Samsung or Similar.
Light bleeds from the sides of the screen, and the sound automatically changes depending on what you are watching, even after you turn off the auto feature.
So sometimes in the middle of watching something, the sound will automatically change to a different mode, and you can’t hear anything, you turn the volume up and then suddenly mode changes again and then you get blaring sound coming from the TV, where you scramble for the remote to reduce the sound again.
Decent TV for the price, but if you can afford it…get a better brand TV
Other than that, it’s a great TV and I’ve no regrets purchasing.
My TV has local zone dimming, and has a QLED panel, which makes for a considerably better viewing experience, and now that I’ve seen how good it is, I want another one for my PC gaming
This TV would be great at it’s 499 price, but because I got mine on Prime day, it was ‘only’ 349, and even my usually sceptical wife has been won over by just how outstanding the picture quality and experience is compared to our old 40″ Sony 1080p TV.
We’ve not bothered with a soundbar etc yet, as our old Sony 5.1 450 watts (RMS) system is still more than capable via optical link.
Very happy with our purchase, and I do plan on getting either by a 43″ or 50″ version just for my PC gaming, using the HDMI 2.1 port for 120Hz connectivity. My 5yr old 32″ Phillips & 27″ Benq monitors at 1440p are still awesome, but only 60Hz, so an upgrade in both size and frame rate plus resolution is needed now
UPDATE – it is now 22 February 2023, I’ve had the TV since Christmas 2022. I’ve been watching Stranger Things on Netflix and I have to say the TV REALLY DELIVERS! This TV is perfect for Netflix, particularly as many titles are in Dolby Vision… Did I also mention that one of the main features of this TV is that it’s built for gaming..? The sad news is this TV has risen in price by around 70 since I bought it, taking it over 400. IT’S STILL WORTH IT! If you’re thinking about getting a new smart TV you will never regret getting this one.
FURTHER UPDATE – the TV is back down to the price of 379, and still a great bargain!
