Got this because the missus’ quite old Amazon tablet was past it’s best. Can’t complain, the missus loves it. Great picture and sound, no headphone jack (she prefers wired ones, God knows why) but got her using wireless ones.

I’ve been using this tablet for a bit of gaming and surfing the web. The screen quality is great and the tablet is very fast but some of the shortcuts are complicated and you end up taking a screenshot without realising. Still a solid 5 star though its great quality.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersBought for my husband to replace his Huawei tablet which was now outdated. I have a Lenovo Chromebook and have been very pleased with that but the Lenovo tablets seem to have a lot of problems and bad reviews regarding wifi connections so we discounted that make. There were loads of recommendations for the Honor X9 and being a reasonable price we went with that. It was quick to set up and all his apps were moved over from his old tablet within minutes. The sound quality seems very good with it’s six speakers and it seems very quick. The screen seems quite clear but we don’t know how it is in sunlight as it’s been cloudy ever since. Very happy with this tablet so far.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersGood tablet, at first I wasn’t happy with it and probably wrote my original review too soon. Good screen and really fast smooth operation when swiping, switching tabs etc. I had about 20 tabs open and no delay or lag at all. Sound is fine, doesn’t get too loud but is nice and clear. Battery seems good also. The only couple of things I didn’t like was I thought the tablet was/is a bit long and narrow screen wise but when watching a movie on it it’s grand it only feels a little long and heavy when holding it in your hand for a bit. Anyway it’s a fine tablet and after a few days use I’m happy with it.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersFantastic tablet for the money (at the time of purchase 149.99). Runs Plex and YouTube perfectly well. Battery life seems good. Nice size for ebooks. Sadly though there’s no MicroSD card slot (I’d googled this and the first result said it had one, but was incorrect and I didn’t realise until the item arrived). We’re expanding it via a usb-c dongle but this is a bit of a pain. Nevertheless, it’s recommended.

Golden Review Award: 27 From Our UsersI was looking at an iPAD and found this Google alternative from Honor (Huawei) and the quality is top notch. It does everything an iPad Air does using Android at a fraction of the price. I got it to mainly watch news, Netflix and some writing.

    PROS
    1. Very similar size to an iPad…see my photo comparison
    2. Priced affordablly , I picked it up for 159 during Black Friday offer.
    3. Runs all apps as can be found on Google play store which is already installed.
    4. You can buy a stylus and use it to write on your screen, just install a suitable writing app.

    CONS
1 minor con is that if you are used to using the writing app on Apple called Goodnotes, the developers haven’t enabled it yet for the tablet. I’m sure there are alternatives but this is not the fault of Honour.

    TIP:
To make it easy for you to turn on the tablet without having to press the ON button, do the following and you’ll love it.

Go to Settings > Accessibility features > Shortcuts & gestures > Wake screen , and enable Raise to wake or Double-tap to wake. I selected the latter – watch my video.

I highly recommend this tablet. Just buy yourself a nice cover/case to go with it and you are laughing.

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant iPAD- like device at Fraction of Price

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersLittle bit apple like at first but you can customise the menus and to make more like Android. Drop down menu etc app draw.

The tablet has good battery life the screen is bright indoor
And viewable outdoor but not as bright as modern phones

The sound speakers are very clear could be a little more loud but seems to be perfect so far

Only thing that is poor on the item is the cameras I don’t use them for anything but face unlock but the rear seems to be very basic.
The screen is LCD and you can see a little back light on the black bars on films but for the price it’s unbeaten.
Only Mled and oled screens stop this but are very expensive.

It’s movies steaming and work/internet browsing it’s perfect.

Probably would struggle with call of duty but I only play that on a PC.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI bought this just for watching TV and videos in bed and the screen is EXCELLENT. Viewing angles maybe aren’t the best but everything else about the screen is absolutely top notch. Big recommend as a Netflix or YouTube Machine. And then I found out it’s powerful enough to really run four apps on the screen at once. Really blown away by this deal after a couple of weeks using it for college and Teams and rewatching Downton Abbey

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersPurchased for my wife and wasn’t expecting the quality of build to as good as it is.
Running Android 13 is excellent for a budget tablet added to that you get a 11.5 inch screen with great quality picture run YouTube no problem and outputs the video to my Sony TV without an signs degradation to picture quality.
I can highly recommend this Honor Tab X9 I myself have galaxy S7 and pound for pound its as good.

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersI waited a few weeks before writing this review, so I could provide honest feedback . I absolutely love it, I use it every day and the picture and sound are compatible to my iPad. For the money I don’t think you could do any better and I would 100% recommend.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersVery slim and a good screen though it takes a while to load all my data etc but can’t ask for much more at the bargain price it is and now even cheaper than the 179 I paid. Now 159 which is super value.
You do need to get a case though just to protect it.

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersThis X9 is a great all round tablet. Very fast, runs everything smoothly. Screen is great. The device is very light and good quality metal. Not sure if I prefer Magic UI over stock Android UI but i didnt find anything annoying so far.

When I compare this tablet to a Samsung A7 10 inch I bough about a year ago, same price range but much much better. Samsung is much slower, the UI much less responsive.

Golden Review Award: 28 From Our UsersThis has replaced a tablet that my kid was using for the last 3 years – Samsung Galaxy Tab A10.1 from 2019. We bought the Samsung tablet for 209 in 2020 and now the Honor Pad X9 for 179. I can’t believe they can make it this good and this cheap when everything else has doubled in price since Brexit and Covid. The quality of the display, speakers, processor, battery, everything is just unbelievable. It’s that good, and not just for the price. I’m sure comparing it to Samsung Galaxy Tab S9, which costs 1200, there will be some drawbacks. But honestly, I’ve used it myself for the last 2 days, setting it up, installing a gazillion games, browsing, and playing movies on Netflix, Disney Plus, Paramount, Amazon prime video, YouTube, YouTube Kids, and it handles everything without a hiccup. By hiccup, I don’t mean a slight stutter when switching between apps while having 15 apps open at the same time. What I mean is that the tablet does not freeze for a few seconds every time you try to open a game, switch between apps etc. This is how the Samsung Tab A10.1 from only a few years ago behaved. The Honor Pad X9 is lightning fast in comparison. The screen is great, and the brightness is strong enough for outside use and perfect when used inside. There are reflections on the screen from light sources as on any glossy display. The metal body is well-built from a single aluminium slab. The WiFi works great on 5Ghz and 2.4GHz, Bluetooth connects immediately to my earbuds and the 6 speakers on this tablet are mind-blowingly good. Again, I’m comparing it to the old Samsung Tab A10.1, which had two tiny muffled speakers on the side. The Honor tablet sounds crystal clear for spoken word, great for music, with two speakers on each side and another two at the bottom. The best thing is that you can hear the sound focused towards you. When watching movies, the two bottom-firing speakers are actually pushing the sound towards you so you can clearly hear every word without it being extremely loud. It doesn’t have Dolby Atmos certification, but playing some of the Dolby Atmos videos on YouTube gives you a great surround sound experience. You can hear the sound going around each of the speakers, mimicking as much as they can the feeling of the sound in front of you, at the back, left and right. Browsing webpages is stutter-free. The cameras on the back and front are usable but not comparable to a flagship phone. All this for 179 is a steal! If you need a tablet for movies, music, browsing, and not too-demanding gaming, then buy it. It’s amazing. I almost forgot the battery lasted a whole day when browsing and watching movies. The only thing I miss is a double tap to wake up. But if you get the Flip case from Honor, it will wake up when you open the cover.

5.0 out of 5 stars The best budget tablet without compromises

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI bought this for online learning, and it is more than I expected. Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersI bought this tab for my 12 year old son and he is loving it. The 11.5″ 2K Resolution, 120Hz refresh rate and 6 speakers are the best combination for gaming and watching Youtube videos. The battery life is perfectly fine. And the processor is using Qualcomm snapdragon which is fast even though my son has downloaded quite a lot of apps without hang. This is the most value for money choice that ever bought.

Golden Review Award: 11 From Our UsersI bought this tab 2 days ago and this proving its worth. I like its 11.5″ 2K crystal clear resolution big screen but its body is slim and very light for easy carrying. You won’t feel tired even you hold it to play online game. The 120Hz refresh rate is powerful enough for gaming, fast and responsive. Also, the 6 speakers’ Sound quality are good and you can feel the surround intuitive sound when watching movies and listening to music.

The Overall performance of this tab is amazing for its price as it’s using Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU and 4+128GB storage, it’s smooth when streaming and watching Youtube videos.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing value for monney!
