I have one of these myself and love it. I only use it for general Internet usage, watching series/ films and doing assignments and bits of work from home. I’ve had mine now for 2 years and ita still running great. My daughter is now in high-school and needed a laptop for homework. She loves it and has had no issues with hers either.
I also can confirm the browser is nice and speedy when it comes to the internet. This is me using edge without any additional plugins and so far not had an issue getting into my emails or logging into social media. Battery life is excellent, runs 10 h easy on one charge. Sound quality is okay. Works fine for watching videos. Good keyboard with clicky buttons and nice to type on.
Couple of pointers worth mentioning.
It came in ‘S mode’ which was not mentioned on the product page. This means you will not be able to install programs that are not available on the Microsoft store. This can be altered, you just need to go to the microsoft store and download the app to fix this. Be warned you cannot go back to s mode if you do, but I imagine the majority of users won’t be bothered by that.
Second, you do have to have a microsoft account to use this device. This isn’t the device’s fault, this is a win 11’s thing. Worth mentioning anyway.
Ram memory is not big. Also a very small hdd capacity. I haven’t tried any video games (the hdd is 64gb and about half of that is just the os), but I very much doubt this would run most games very well. Maybe small capacity stuff, 2d games perhaps, but not something with heavy graphics.
All in all, you get what you pay for and for the cost it is a lovely thing. If you want something chunky with a big harddrive and big ram, this is not it. As a lightweight, easy to use, portable device, it’s perfect. Very happy with this product overall.
This product would not suit anyone wanting to load games, etc, but for someone like me who just wants to surf and type documents it is ideal. I love how fast it starts up and shuts down. It also comes with Word 365 loaded. It also has a really useful slot that takes a micro SD card – no need for adaptors. Only advice I would give is to not overload this notebook with apps and save files and pictures on the external SD card or USB sticks. Too much stuff on the system will slow it down and even make some processes stop working. However, I love how small it is, and battery life is pretty good. Gr8 for working on the move. Love it.
I’m not a computer wiz
I use this for basic surfing and eamails so nothing major
It’s does a great job for what I want it for
Very light and slim too
For the money and for my basic needs it’s grea
SEEMED LIKE VALUE FOR MONEY. AS I HAVE ONLY HAD IT FOR ABOUT 12 DAYS IT IS TOO EARLY TO
GIVE A COMPREHENSIVE REVIEW. ASK ME AGAIN IN 12 MONTHS.
