Works great soaks up quite a bit of water and very easy to wring out I ended up purchasing 3 I like them so much and very cheap compared to others
This Microfibre Car Detailing Towel impresses with its plush feel and non-scratching edging. Its softness and absorbency make it ideal for various car detailing tasks, especially as a finishing cloth for removing quick detailers or buffing paintwork.
While the towel is of good quality and comes with a reasonable price tag, it may not be the best option for heavy-duty drying, as it reaches saturation quickly. However, its thinner design allows for easy wringing out when needed. It’s also very useful for light drying and buffing.
The towel’s large size (40x60cm/16×24 Inches) provides ample coverage, and the edges are thoughtfully designed to prevent scratching. It washes well at 40C and retains its color nicely.
Overall, a decent all-round towel, but for more specialized tasks or specific preferences, other options with higher GSM counts or multipacks might be worth considering.
Another soft and absorbent towel for cleaning, its not the biggest I have but its fit for purpose although I do have to use a few on my large SUV as wringing these out always seems to be a pain. A few bits of blue fluff caught on panel edges etc but no big deal.
This is a very plush feeling microfibre cloth with a nice non scratching edging.
This isn’t a twisted loop towel so doesn’t suit drying very well however this does work very well as a finishing cloth, ideal for removing a quick detailer or buffing the paintwork.
Pricewise this is currently listed at 5.69, it’s not the cheapest of cloths available on Amazon but not the dearest either.
Overall this is a nice cloth for the money and although it isn’t much use as a drying towel it is a great towel to use.
This detailing cloth is 6.95 at the time of this review.
It’s a nice soft cloth with good edging. I wouldn’t hesitate using this on my car. I could see no fibre loss, so was good on my windows.
It’s not absorbent enough to be an effective drying towel. It reached saturation quite quick, but as it’s not too thick, it’s easy to wring out.
It washed ok at 40c and didn’t loose too much colour.
Overall a nice cloth for buffing or light drying.
I’m using this to clean my window as opposed to a car and it’s fantastic. It absorbs liquid pretty well and is nice and soft.
It washes well too – I’ve washed it on a 40 and it comes up nice and fluffy.
It is a little more expensive than some on the market, but this is more thick and plush. I recommend.
I use these to dry the car after washing it, I have a large one for the body and use these smaller ones for the glass windows, this is thinner than the other one I have but it is also half the price so I suppose you get what you pay for. Does a good enough job and washes well in the machine
This towel arrives crushed flat in a 20 x 29cm vacuum pack no more than 1cm thick. It expands when opened.
As a drying cloth it is soft and absorbent. Works well.
This microfibre car detailing cloth comes tightly compacted in a vacuum sealed bag but, once released, quickly puffs up into a decent-sized soft, fluffy, microfibre drying/polishing cloth.
Personally, I normally prefer to go with a heavier GSM to enable me to dry my car in one go without the need to ring the cloth out. However, I found that this 500GSM cloth still did a pretty good job and at a fraction of the price I normally pay for my drying/detailing cloths.
The microfibre tufts are well bound into the fabric and the cloth is well finished with strong well-stitched black edging all around it; so it should stay intact and in good shape for a fair bit of usage.
The surface area of the cloth I received was perhaps slightly smaller than that advertised (it might just have made the 60cm if stretched) but at just under seven pounds I think most people would find it more than adequate for their needs.
The item arrives vacuum-packed and folded to quarter size.
Unfolded, this item is the size of a hand towel (see Bic Pen for scale) at 40x60cm/16×24 Inches and has all the advantages of a microfibre product, being both soft, absorbent, easier to launder – and fast to dry.
It’s probably worth searching “Microfibre Car Detailing Towel” on Amazon and comparing pricing; however, while not expensive, this towel is in the middle range, and for a similar price, you can get higher “gsm” counts.
Alternatively, there are multipacks then cost more – but offer a higher value per unit and arguably are more practical, even if the individual cloth has a smaller footprint.
That said, I liked the colour of this, which may matter, or not.
Soft, fluffy and dries quick when wet.
However I used this on a car wash and it did tend to move the water around for a bit before soaking it up, so made hard work of the job on occasions.
But a nice cloth for lots of uses.
This is quite a large towel, and it’s very soft. The edges as described are a bit less rough than some others.
It can be washed at 60 degrees which is better than some as well.
I didn’t find the easiest I’ve ever used – and I found it left some hairs behind on the glass.
It’s a pretty decent towel, but not the best. I’d put it in the mid-range at the price of 6.95 and I wouidn’t want to pay much more than that.
Pretty decent.
Four stars.
I use a lot of these type of towels for vehicle cleaning and you can never have too many, this one is a decent size, has good absorption properties and is easy to wash afterwards. The edge banding is nice and soft reducing the risk of scratches and swirl marks, it’s big enough to do medium size cars. They say it’s dual purpose and can be used for drying and buffing, while it can be used for buffing I prefer to use smaller, easier to manage cloths for buffing but this will do it no problem as long as you fold it over to stop the excess dragging across the ground or adjacent areas when buffing out polish.
