Good value for money and appear well made, so far I’ve only used a few times with an impact driver and worked well – three sizes in a holder. I have another product from this brand so a fan so far.
I guess time will tell, but these feel like good quality bits for once, I had some cheap ones before and they inevitably snapped, so far these are going strong and do feel many steps above what I used previously.
I can’t attest to the products quality because I only bought it incase I need it one day. But I can tell you that it says its designed in the USA and made in Taiwan. It looks alright.
I bought these to go with my impact driver, which I only use where an ordinary electric screwdriver won’t do the job. Since I’m not a building professional I therefore don’t use the driver that much, and anyway since these adapters are for sockets I guess I should really be using an impact wrench. However for occasional use the driver will do the job.
I have therefore only used these adapters on rare occasions, but when I have used them they’ve been fine. For obvious reasons it’s therefore difficult for me to comment on their longevity.
Standard Hex fit for impact drivers, used for attaching sockets to impact driver. Great use, has now become an integral part of the tool bag used most days (except weekends lol).
Most use has come from the 1/4 drive adaptor but all work as expected.
Finished in black and look quite professional, would recommend.
Hope this review helps you decide
I needed to put some 8mm coach screws into some solid wood to hold a metal bracket. Normally I would have used my socket set and ratchet. I saw these and thought I would try them.
I have a Makita impact driver, so was wondering if these adapters would provide me with a low-cost impact wrench. Coupled with the 3/8 adapter with a 13mm hex socket and drove the coach screws into the wood, no problem.
At the price these are, they deserve a place in everyone’s tool box.
Lasted 2.5 years of infrequent abuse and even then it was the thickest one that I don’t use as much that gave up! I’ve used them for a couple of engine swaps and basic maintenance in a dewalt impact driver.. so maybe not as intended
Finest chinesium
Overall nothing is infallible and for the price and what they’ve been through I can’t complain.. good buy in my book!
Ok so if you are gonna start cracking big wheel nuts or busting that huge rusty bolt off with a super strong impact driver, you are gonna snap this beast pretty quickly… just look at what you are working with and the size of the stem….
However if your happy to loosen nuts by hand and use to your impact driver to do the rest and tighten nuts until you get some resistant and then finish off with a normal wrench you’ll get a reasonable life out of this product.
If you wanna bust nuts, buy powered torque wrench, they are designed for that, your impact driver and this product might bust a few nuts, but expect to be buying another of these down the line (like me!!).
One of the great things about having an impact driver (much more torque than a standard cordless drill) is the sheer grunt they have for undoing those pesky screws and now bolts!
These attachments mean you can go into your socket set, stick on the appropriate sized socket and shift that damn bolt that was refusing to shift!
I would recommend soaking bolt in penetrating fluid first by the way. You don’t want to shear the bolt if it is rusted on.
I do enjoy tinkering on older cars and these cars frequently have older bolts on them that do not want to be removed without a major fight.
This now makes the fight rather one sided in my favour!
I have used these for a few months now with and they are still perfect.
Just buy them.
You may only need them rarely, but you will be so grateful you have them at that time.
I was quite sceptical of these initially, considering the price and perceived low quality of such cheap items that litter shopping sites. I decided to give them a go, based on reviews and I’m pleased indeed.
I bought them to use with a Ryobi impact driver and they work great. You don’t need to use multiple socket adapters to convert between socket sizes because it comes with 3/8, 1/4 and 1/2 inch socket adapters. This makes the assembly and socket using feel really stable and secure.
The bits themselves feel like solid cast material and they feel like quality items that might last. Even if they don’t, for the use I have got out of them already, they will have been worth it. One of my main uses is on my car tires. I use a breaker bar on the car wheel studs initially and then loosen and tighten the studs with these bits in my impact driver; no trouble to them.
These are well worth it. My only gripe might be the lack of a case for them, in case they get lost but for the price that’s a non-issue.
