Bought this to keep an eye on my heart rate and it is really good and is the same as what I’ve been getting when in hospital so I know it’s right and not coming up different.

It’s very soon to review this monitor but you can tell quality and this gadget came beautifully boxed along with pouch and lanyard. It has a solid weighty feel. Importantly, I knew what my readings should be as they are consistent and frequently read at hospital and as yesterday, at my local doctors. They were exactly right, so I’m not worried about margins of error. If you just need to know your heart rate and blood oxygen levels get one of these instead of a smart watch full of stuff you’ll never use.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersThis is the third one I have bought in four years. For the price you can’t go wrong. I gave it a 5 star because we use it about 20 times a day. It will last for over a year and then the connection from top to bottom fails but for the usage we put it threw and the price we paid I am vary happy with the product. Just consider it won’t last for years with heavy use. Will be buying again and happy to do soo. The first one we bought lasted well over 2 years with using it about 5 times a day the second one lasted 14 months using it 20 times a day. Both failed in the same way. the first one I took apart and It is the electric ribbon that connects the top to the bottom that fails. It can only be opened and closed so many times. Every thing has a life span.

I find this small gadget to be very useful and very a curate.By measuring the oxygen saturation in the circulation provides a very accurate reading. Also the heartbeat indicator gives a clear indication of my health.Absolute must for anyone who is concerned with health conscious behaviour.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersHighly accurate, very easy and clear to read and it couldn’t be any simpler to use. As someone that suffers with a condition that requires me to monitor my heart rate daily this has lasted me a while and so far it hasn’t once broke or not given me an accurate reading.

    Would recommend highly

I keep a log of the readings for my own curiosity and get the same readings as my GP’s version. Good enough for my GP so good enough for me . Nicely made and gives information quickly. Very good bright clear easy to read display.

This is a good and accurate product, the technical specification (pictured) states that the accuracy is +/- 2% which is okay for home use. When checking oxy-meters online the advice was to check that they have CE marks and on the back of this one it quotes IP22 and CE0482.

This arrived the next day with carry case, battery and lanyard so very handy to use and store. Provides a reading at a moment in time for both health as well as fitness reasons. It’s identical to something your GP would use and pleased I got one to add to my home medical kit. I am not medical but it’s easy to use and does what it says it will. Overall very pleased with it!

I guess it’s hard for me to prove accuracy but all I can say is it’s very consistent – the pulse matches my blood pressure monitor and Fitbit. If your oxygen levels are lower than expected, you can inhale and exhale to get the levels up and watch the digital read out going up. I like it . Well made, simple to use, clear digital readout and seems accurate. Nice little case too – everyone seems to want to pick it up and have a go.

Effective and efficient way of calculating oxygen saturation in your blood, pulse rate per minute and pulse rate intensity. Just put the device on your finger, press the button and within seconds get accurate readings. Can also be worn on a lanyard for regular use through activities or throughout the day.

The good: the product has a stylish design but the picture may mislead that it is shiny. It isn’t, which is a good thing as it won’t be a a magnet for fingerprints.

The display offers clear readings. It is a monochrome display showing only in bright red, something which I haven’t found disturbing. This style of LCD is most likely more energy efficient than an OLED display found in some other products, giving you more bang for the battery.

The documentation is extremely well written. In fact, it is one of the best instructions leaflet I have seen for quite a while. A lot of care has been put into the packaging of the product so it doesn’t feel cheap at any point during the unboxing.

I think the carrying pouch is a nice touch, even better than the lanyard.

I am yet to try it, but there’s a card in the box telling me that I can register online for an extra year of warranty.

Other than that, it does what it says on the tin: it measures the pulse and the blood oxygen levels.

To be improved: the stiffness of the hinge which may affect the accuracy of the readings. I believe this is a temporary problem until it is broken in. This isn’t s problem with the sensor itself which is capable of providing precise readings.

CE markings on the device would have given me even more confidence.

The iProven OXI-27 is a compact, fingertip oxygen saturation and heart rate monitor intended for use in an exercise setting (not validated for use in healthcare). It fits snugly over a finger and grips your finger like a peg in order to stay in place. On the top of the monitor is a clear and simple red LED display which shows your oxygen saturation in percentage, heart rate (beats per minute)a and there is an LED bar graph alongside this showing the signal of the pulse, which helps you determine how well the monitor is picking up your heart rate.

Upon ordering, the item arrived promptly and was well packaged. It comes in a small cardboard box which contains the OXI-27, a lanyard attachment, a carry case with belt attachment, and 2 AAA batteries required to operate the monitor. The batteries are very simple to install, and once this is done, simply put the OXI-27 on your finger, press the button on the top, and it will fire up and display your numbers. The OXI-27 will automatically shut off if it does not detect a finger for a short period of time, so you can’t forget to turn it off.

I tested the OXI-27 against one of the oxygen saturation probes used in my local hospital, and it performed well, giving very similar readings – however, note that I only tested this in the situation of a normal heart rhythm and rate, with oxygen saturations in the normal expected range.

Personally, I find that the OXI-27 grips my finger a little too tightly, and after a few minutes becomes very slightly uncomfortable, and hence I have deducted a star from the rating – it may be that the hinge & spring loosen up a bit after a bit of usage but for the time being, it just feels a little too tight, and I would say I have average sized fingers.

All in all, I would say it is a good piece of kit, and feels well made and robust. It seems to give accurate readings and would be a good investment for those looking to objectively measure the effects of their workout.

EDIT – at present, the white version of this saturation monitor is available at the lower price of 13.99

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersBought on behalf of my 80 year old grandad who needs to monitor his oxygen everyday. Without my aid he was able to set the whole thing up and read his oxygen and heart rate everyday. So impressed with him and this gadget for making it so easy!

He even showed me how to use it and I have since discovered that my heart-rate is always over 100, so thanks to this device I’m getting checked out as it’s not normal. Will be buying one for myself! x

    I find this item marvellous.
I’ve just come home from being discharged from hospital. My oxygen levels was very low. I now have to have oxygen continually throughout the day and night my doctors advices that I would know if I was on a certain level of oxygen by the way I feel which is right in a way but this machine gives the exact measurement of oxygen that fills me full of confidence. I can put my oxygen levels up or down depending on the reading of the monitor, which means I’m getting the exact level of oxygen that I need.
A brilliant little machine, a life saver.
    Thank you

Well constructed and robust device. Information on the screen very clear. The only disappointing feature was that there was no blood pressure waveform displayed only the instantaneous blood pressure. This would have been very useful to me as I suffer from atrial fibrillation. My previous oximeter had this feature.
Accuracy not filled in as impossible to know without an accurate second meter for comparison.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI ordered this because my husbands health needs a bit closer monitoring at the moment. It looks really sleek and stylish as well as having sound so you can hear it working. We took it to our doctors along with a new blood pressure monitor at my husbands appointment and the GP said it was one of the best he has seen and even joked it was better than the NHS provided ones and confirmed its accuracy. The monitor came two days early and the company has made sure by email we are happy with it. I would recommend this whole heartedly

Because of my job, I wanted to buy a Pulse oximeter for quite a long time but I always postponed as I thought it would be difficult to use. I chose the oximeter from I proven Europe as I bought other products from them and I never had any problems. This pulse oximeter is super easy to use. It is very light and it comes in a nice pouch. It also has a lanyard that you can attach and it makes it easy to carry. The instructions are very clear and overall I would say that is a good quality product and I would definitely recommend it.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI bought this to monitor my heart rate and I am so glad I spent 21 quid on this. A month ago I bought a wrist watch – type monitor but had to return it because it was so inaccurate (mind you it was only 25 quid). This thing was cheaper but spot on accuracy. One thing I like about it is the alarm that sounds when your pulse is below 50 and same for oxigen level in your blood when it’s below 95%. Yeah if you want something to monitor your pulse like me, then go for it, it’s worth the money.

Golden Review Award: 35 From Our UsersI have breathing and Hypertension problems and need to keep a check and record of my heart/pulse rate and my respiration! I already had an ‘Oximeter’ albeit a cheaper model! But forgot to take it with me on a visit to the Grand Children. Quick check on Amazon and I found and ordered this one. It was slightly more expensive than my previous purchase but, definitely worth the extra cost! It arrived next day well packaged and it was immediately obvious that this was a superior product in every way! Nicely boxed with instructions and a well made case to keep it safe. Build quality is much better than expected! Tested against hospital apparatus and results were identical ! Excellent value and Highly Recommended!

Golden Review Award: 21 From Our UsersI brought a slightly cheaper version last year because my boy has Asthma and we like to keep an eye on his saturation levels when he is suffering, the older device that is a bit cheaper is loose and doesn’t get a good reading from his smaller fingers, this one is a much sturdier design and gets a result.
It comes with batteries which is a plus as you don’t need to find the 2 3AAA required.
This has a all round well made feel to it and I would recommend spending the few pennies more it cost to get a much better device.
