I agree totally with the customer who reduced from 5 stars to 4 as these bags have now been reduced in size for cost purposes and are now impossible to fit over our kitchen bin.
This is a great pity as we have been buying these via Amazon for a long time now and were previously excellent and very easy to fit and use.
If the producer will not revert to the previous size then this is the last batch we will ever buy so please Amazon contact the producer to tell them to go back to the previous size.
    Thanks for your help Amazon.

If you are looking at these bags then the chances are you own one of the Joseph Joseph “recycling stations” (I was given a row for calling it a mere bin). Yes the bags are expensive, but they are strong and fit the tower thing perfectly.

We only use one a week so in the grand scheme of things twice a year to buy them isn’t the end of the world – but it still hurts a little paying 8 quid (at the time of writing) for 20 bin bags

Have taken one star off overall as the latest ones we have received seem a bit a bit small, and are much more difficult to get on and off the top container.

Very robust. No idea how long they take to decompose in a landfill as they are very thick. However they never rip or burst and we have been using them for at least 5 years. Expensive but are the only ones that fit our Joseph Joseph recycle bin.

I’ve used bin bags from Tesco and Sainsburys in our JosephJoseph bin, and if you get just the right roll of bin liners you can get them to fit. But then Tesco’s supplier changed the size slightly and every other bag would split going on, and a few would split when I took them off.

Are these expensive bin bags? Yes, compared to cheap bags that are a fraction the thickness. But something I care more about than saving a quid on a pack of bin bags is not having to clear up the rubbish that spills out when a cheap bag splits.

I have to buy these bags as they are compatible with my bin but they are a rip off. 20 bags for 8 is extortionate. You can buy them in Dunelm for 6. They are really thick and good quality and the drawstring on them is great but not sure that compensates for the price tag.

Good strong bags for the Joseph Joseph bins. Although not the cheapest they’re still worth as buying cheep bags mean your usually double bagging anyway. Plus these bags fit perfectly and don’t stick out and make the place look untidy.

Tight fit on the bin so you need to stretch the bag a little to get it on, but once on it fits nicely. The bags are strong. I’ve not had any tare on me. I have only bought them for the bin they was made for so not sure how the compare to size but I can fault the strength

The Joseph Joseph bin I bought has been one of my best buys. The storage drawer under the bin is great and I use if for cleaning cloths and t towels. The bin liners for the bin are very strong with a good tie system. They do not rip easily so that I can confidently dispose of loose and liquid waste including some oils.

I wish bin manufacturers would agree on a sizing convention so that you know which bags fit which bin.

Until they do, you’re stuck buying branded bags.

Still, these fit like a glove and are nice and thick.

    I’d rather pay less though!

These are very sturdy and warn you when you are near the end of the pack. I do find they are a little bit of a tight fit on the bin which frustrates me.

Very high quality bags with a nice tie handle. They haven’t ripped once and we’ve gone through 3 or 4 packets so far. Nothing more I can say really – they’re rubbish bags!

I’ve removed a star as because like everything from Joseph Joseph they are on the expensive side.

Love my bin. Bit on the expensive side but for the size it is deceiving. It does not look as though it will hold a lot as it is in two parts, but for a family of five I only empty it once in the week (twice for recycling though!) I would definitely recommend it despite the price.

If you’re looking at this product page, I presume you own Joseph Joseph Intelligent Waste Totem Bin 60 L ? These waste bags are very good, specially designed for this bin, so they’ll fit it perfectly and are very good quality too. Since supermarkets stopped giving away their plastic bags which I’d been reusing as rubbish bags, I’ve had to find alternative solutions to get rid of all the general house wastes. The black bags you can find in the supermarket are cheap but too big for this bin. This product is currently costing 6.00 for 20 bags, so it’s 30p per bag, which is quite a big portion of expenditure, but, again, the size is perfect and the quality is obviously good for this bin, which, I think, is a bin of the future, because it’s not too big or tall, it’s a tower so you can put the food waste as well as recycling all in the same tower. So it’s completely up to you.
