Works fine if you’ve got a computer with only displayport connectors on it but want to connect a standard monitor or television. 4k60 no problem, I haven’t tried any other resolution but since this thing is just a passive adapter I wouldn’t expect it to affect the signal much at all.
I’m using it with a mini itx desktop linux box connected to the tv in my living room for the rare instances when I want to actually look at that computer’s output directly.
Bought a renewed HP EliteDesk mini PC which only has Display Port video out. I *could* install an HDMI port but figured an adapter was easier more flexible solution. Inexpensive. Works great. And I have *two* just in case I decide to connect a second monitor.
Works perfectly with my GeForce 4000 series GPU and my Sony DH790 receiver. No clue why GPUs today only have 1 HDMI port which I’m using in my LG OLED. So I needed an adapter to turn a displayport into an HDMI for the receiver. Thankfully DP carries audio just as well as HDMI so this adapter works perfectly.
Hab meine Grafikkarte erneuert, da hatte ich nur ein HDMI Anschluss, mit diesen tollen Teilen, konnte ich meine Kabel behalten und musste nicht extra teuer Kabel dazu holen. Die sind klein und so mit platzsparend
Using a Dell Wyse 5070 thin client as a HomeKit server running scrypted.
To initially set it up (it will run headless afterward) I needed to connect the display port output to a standard HDMI display and this did the job for cheap – so just what I needed.
I really dig these! I bought them to do a dual monitor, dual workstation setup. I wasn’t super concerned about the display quality, as this was just going to allow me more connections to the same monitors. The image quality is great and they never lose signal. I can’t speak to the speed, as these are really only used for work based applications (not gaming), but I haven’t noticed a decrease in image fidelity or an increase in latency.
Easy installation and plug and play. If you need to convert from DP to HDMI these were the perfect option. Well priced and a 2 pack as most people have dual monitor depending on your needs these work great. There isn’t noticeable picture quality reduction. They appear durable and I have been using the adapter for some time now without issue.
I love that these adapters are small (only about an inch long) and they snap securely onto an HDMI cable. They feel premium in construction and work flawlessly with my HP ProDesk 600 G6, on two different 4k monitors. Both monitors are running at full 4k resolution with no video quality issues whatsoever. 10/10 would recommend.
I was having a hard time finding usbc wall ports, but no more. I can use my old wall ports and snap this adapter.
It works perfect in our camper that has regular
USB ports all over it. Perfect for hotels rental cars as well.
The adapters arrived quickly and do a great job of converting the display adapter output of my HP EliteDesk MINI computers to HDMI for display on my TV. I found that it converts both video and sound to HDMI for display on my 65 inch TV. The picture and sound quality are great.
If you have a graphics port with two “++” plus signs next to the DP icon, it supports passive HDMI adapters which this product is. Worked flawlessly out of the box. Verified to support 2560×1440 with sound. It may go higher depending on graphics adapter. Typically DP is good for at least 4K at 60Hz but all depends on quality of graphics adapter. In my case I was limited to the Intel integrated UHD 630 graphics for which my dependency was easily met in HDMI. Worked with either Windows or Linux in my tests.
This is about the size of a thumb drive, and it works really well so far. I originally had the brand Club which was the first ever DP to HDMI you could find. A year ago, if you looked for something like this then the Club is all that the search results would show. Now there’s allot more and after replacing my Club, my monitors picture quality looks so much better. There are definitely deeper blacks now which make the display look so much better. Plus, it does not heat up like the Club and you don’t have to have a separate cable going out for power either.
