We picked this up for when we have long drives and don’t want to mess with finding ice for our cooler! It fits the bill perfectly! It comes the cigarette lighter style plug for in the car and a plug for use at home as well! I was surprised at how quickly it cooled itself down to 35 degrees the first time we used it. It only has very basic settings that have to do with power usage and setting the temp. That’s pretty much it, but I appreciated that there was a setting if you are running in on batteries. We had a situation where we needed to defrost secondary mini-fridge, and this was perfect for keeping the perishables from spoiling! I really like this product a lot! My only hit against it is that I wish the lid had a tighter seal or way to lock it in place, but that is a minor complaint!

This is a great addition to any road trip, as it keeps foods cold (even frozen if you want!) in the car, house, hotel or campsite while using minimal power and staying incredibly quiet. We had a problem with the first unit to arrive, but product support was very quick to make things right, and it’s been great ever since. Absolutely no regrets on this Karinear 12 Volt Car Refrigerators 12V, 17 QT(16L) Portable Freezer.

This little guy is very compact and portable so it’s easy to take with you or throw in any car or truck. The external materials are high-quality. The display is easy to read and overall works really well. We’ve used this on a couple trips so far has come in super handy Internal space is large enough to hold more than you would expect, but it definitely keeps things cold, and or frozen without issue. Decor that it comes with our plenty long both the 110 plug and the 12 V plug only thing I don’t like is the cords and plugs themselves that plug into the actual unit are not a standard connector so it might be difficult to find a replacement cord since I see that being as far as a piece that would need to be replaced.

It did a very good job keeping our food chilled on two camping trips this year. Can cool down drinks pretty quickly, just turn down the temperature.

I opted for this one because it fits in the middle back car seat, between two passengers.

Makes minimal noise, the compressor comes on every now and then. Not a problem when sleeping in a tent.

The fridge feels solid. The only issue I had is a small gap between the display panel and the case. I’ve put tape over it so no moisture gets inside.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very good overall

I picked this up as an alternative to the coolers not only for outdoor events for when I go to work in the summer to keep water cold.
This has farther exceeded my expectations. Yes, it’s pricier than a cooler, but this has become a great piece of equipment to take on any outdoor activity. I use it for shopping picnics tailgates hiking it gets cold pretty quickly and stays cold if this thing came with a solar panel. It would be 10 stars.

Finally got to put this to use during an extended fishing trip. Cooled down fast and did indeed get quite cold. Used it to keep food items and drinks, i.e malty beverageslolcool during recent overnight fishing trip. Really impressed with how long it held temperature when not powered. Couple of hours not powered and with multiple times opened and closed it kept beverages and other items cold. Was a little worried about drain on battery when vehicle was not running, but happily I was not greeted with a dead battery the next morning after being plugged it for hours without vehicle running.

I use this for my work van to keep my lunch or waters cold during the summer.

Have you ever jumped into your van on a summer day and are craving some cold water and jus to find out that the water would be great to make some tea because it’s super hot!!

    Here is the solution.

No need to unplug all the time after uses. Just switch it to the setting #2 and it turns off by itself without draining your battery from your van.

    Highly recommend it.

Amazing product for your work va

The design is really special. The unit has two plugs, one for a vehicle and one for a standard power outlet – I appreciate the options. The cooler is very easy to operate with just a few buttons. The cooling success is going to require a few factors, outside ambient temperature being the highest impact to the cooling ability of the unit. You should use it like a regular cooler, adding freezer packs to start and make sure pre-cool it like a normal refrigerator. I keep mine plugged in for transporting. For the size, space and pricing, I feel it is a great value. My favorite parts are the slide out legs on the bottom to stabilizer the cooler, which counter balances its long shape. I was able to get mine to go from 77 degrees to 0 degrees in about 30 minutes inside a tent, which was impressive. It is super quiet too, we used ours in a tent and it stayed plugged in all the time to the camp power. You could not hear it all and it keeps food frozen no problem throughout the heat of the day in the tent.

I bought a portable car refrigerator in red for camping trips. It has a 17 QT capacity and cools quickly. Dual power options and is easy to carry around. It’s great for road trips and camping. It’s also easy to clean and maintain. It’s a must-have for outdoor enthusiasts.

I really like just how simple this refrigerator is. Simply plug it in (AC or your car’s lighter 12v socket), it turns on by default when power is applied. It took about a minute to start running on first power up but it cooled down to the temperature Inhadnsetnin just a few minutes. It has settings to turn itself off if the 12v battery of the vehicle gets too low (3 levels to choose from). Setting the temp is as easy as pressing + or – until the desired temperature is set. Fwiw, it let’s you go as low as zero F. You can hear the unit run, but I bet you’d be hard-pressed to notice it in most cars.

Really the only things I don’t like is the bottom of the unit has a step in it. Liter sized water bottles will need to lie down to fit. The latch that holds it shut does not seem to auto latch. Maybe I just need to push harder but at least the unit I have it seems you need to pull the latch like you are opening the lid, then fully seat the lid, then release.

Overall, I like it a lot and will be trying it on the road at the end of the month for a road trip across the US. Not needing ICE or to drain the cooler of the melt will be nice!

    My new road trip fridge!

I want to start by saying this little mini fridge is super cool. It’s small and lightweight (15lbs when empty) yet still holds a good amount of food or drinks. It’s like a little Tetris game figuring out how to best utilize space to fit the most.

My only slight negative is that the times listed (30 min to 30 and 60min to 0) didn’t hold true for me. I found it takes almost double these times to achieve temp. It is currently about 95f where I live so that may factor in. This isn’t a super huge issue for me personally so I didn’t deduct a star but felt it was definitely worth mentioning.

This unit can be used as a refrigerator OR a freezer which is awesome. It comes with a wall plug or a cig lighter plug for a vehicle. It’s very simple to operate with just a few self explainatory buttons. It’s pretty quiet, you can hear it kick on and off periodcally but not loud. It holds temp fine once it reaches, I even have a mini ice cube tray in mine at the moment and it’s been able to make ice. I’ve also put Italian ice and ice cream in there and both have been perfect. There is a warning label included that it may get shaken during transport so it should be left to sit for 2 hours to let the components settle before the first use.

Overall this has been great so far. I can think of lots of times where it’d be cool to bring in the car (bringing cold food home from the market in the heat, drinks at the beach or sports games, cook outs, park and party, etc) but it’s also been practical to have at home (maybe your home freezer is full now there’s overflow or maybe drinks for the bedroom). It has little “legs” on the bottom to stabilize it but I’ve found it’s decently stable even without those extended. Very happy with this compact fridge/freezer combo.

Small and light, still holds a good amount. Fridge and freezer in one.

Product is as described in the listing and appears to run pretty well. It can sometimes be slow to turn on the condenser (?) when you first turn it on and set the temperature. Also have to make sure it sits upright for 2 hours before trying it so the liquid parts can settle back to where they are supposed to be after being jostled in shipping.

I will update the review if anything goes odd with it, but so far so good in the first 24 hours of having it.
