This electric cook top can be used on top of your counter or embedded in your counter for space saving. The top is sleek and clean looking. You can use any type of cookware on the top.
The stove top comes well packaged and has accessories to add feet to the bottom or fasten it into a worktop as a permanent installation. The stove plugs in with a standard 110v plug so you can add this into your kitchen without any issues. It has two burners on the top and is controlled with sensors built into the stove top glass so there are no protruding buttons.
Both burners heat up quickly and you can set the temperature and also it has a timer. One burner is hotter than the other, one is just to be used as a warmer. It boiled my water quickly and the stove feels well built. I will use it when I am camping.
enough for most types of cooking. The small burner is mainly for keep warm purpose. It is 600 watt. I have tested it. If I put a lid on a stainless steel pot then it is capable to boil the water. But if I remove the lid then the water will stop boiling. But this small burner is good enough for keep warm purpose and it is marked on the surface.
If you use it as built in stove top then you need to be capable (DIYer) to cut a hole on your countertop. Or you can hire a professional to do it for you. There is a warming sheet (as you can see in my pictures) saying that this must be installed by qualified personnel or technician. But I think if you are a DIYer I can’t think of any reason why you can’t do it yourself. In this case you are a qualified personnel. If you want to just use it on a table then all you need is to install 4 rubber legs at the corners. Please note that this is not an induction cooktop. That means you can use all types of pots and pans on it. And because it is ceramic top it is easy to clean. Because of its compact size it is quite suitable for those people who have a small kitchen like in apartments.
I can’t find any warranty information on this product and so I assume there isn’t any. I view warranty very important for any electric items purchase.
I got this to use at the campground as an outdoor stove (it is protected from the elements under a covered porch ).
It has two burners (a large one , 1400W, and a smaller one 600W).
The large burner works great, and the smaller one is more for keeping food warm.
You can use this as a mobile cooktop or you can install this in a counter top. It comes with everything you need to install permanently if so desired.
I love the digital/sensor controls (no knobs on my model so nothing to catch pots on).
The large burner is a great size for my bigger pots. I use the smaller burner for foods that need to be heated at a slower pace (think melting chocolate or making certain sauces).
Very easy to use.
One star off because I do find this a bit pricey (219, but comes, at the moment, with a 30 dollar coupon).
I have no intention of installing this in a countertop. I think it’s great to have it mobile so you can have 2 burners available wherever you might need. them. It’s 110v so you can plug it in just about anywhere.
I’ll use it at camp, or even camping with a generator. Would be great for an RV too.
Or, when you’re cooking those holiday meals and just need some extra burners going to keep a big meal cooking. Stuff like that.
But the Karinear 12-inch Electric Cooktop is a good looking and well made appliance.
The wood grain patterned glass stands out in a good way. It’s lovely.
I like the simple control and interface. Although it was helpful to read the manual to figure out what things mean.
The burners get hot fast! And the surrounding glass does not. I had it about boiling water (in no time) when I placed (carefully) near the outside of the burner and it was relatively cool to the touch. Still, keep the kids away and use common sense of course.
Easy to clean up once the cooking is over. Just wipe down with a damp cloth or light soap if needed.
All in all, pretty pleased with this 2 burner ceramic cook top.
It’s actually quite a nice little cooktop, but there are a few things to be aware of that may be mildly irritating.
First, if using as a tabletop cooktop, putting the rubber feet in feels…. very strange. The holes where the screws are supposed to go into to hold the feet seem to be unthreaded, and the initial push to get the screws in feels… wrong. However, matching it up with the pictures they are the right holes, and there aren’t exactly a plethora of holes to choose from to begin with. However, once in the feet are secure and everything seems to be fine.
Second, this thing is a grease/fingerprint magnet. It has a glossy textured surface that I initially had figured would be less prone to show any smudges or fingerprints but boy was I wrong.
Third, when you have the burners off there’s an “H” that flashes next to the controls. Now if you’re like me you’re worried that “H” means “high”, but rest assured…. they’re off. It doesn’t stop making me double check it though, no matter how many times I use it. Also there’s a very notable “click” wh en the burners turn on/off.
Overall, it’s a nice portable/tiny stovetop but the minor irritants combined are enough for me to knock a star off. However, it does heat quite quickly, works as you’d expect, and is a decent price. So if none of the irritants above seem like a big deal for you, there really aren’t any outstanding issues I found that wouldn’t make this a 5 star item.
I have a regular smooth top electric stove and it has 4 burners and a warming burner but during the holidays or family parties we are always looking for more cooking space. The Karinear 2 burner cooktop gives us another cooking burner and another warming burner. What I really like about this cooktop is that you can use just about any type of pan. This is really helpful when family comes over and they have their induction stove pans. We are able to keep it warm with this. I have this placed on the counter top for now but will most likely have it built in soon. I am giving this 5 stars.
It’s working great. The larger burner heats up faster than our kitchen oven stovetop does. We use it all the time and are liking it. The small burner isn’t as good. It has less wattage so doesn’t get very hot as quick. It’s great to warm things, or simmer, but not as good for boiling, or frying on high temps. I like the look of it too. It’s also simple to use. I’m going to cut a hole in our island counter for it, It’s gonna look great. You can use it on top of the counter as well, it has a regular wall plug. Great overall , very well made feel to it.
The 2 Burners Electric Cooktop provides efficient cooking for your kitchen.
I placed it in my car for traveling use, I also use it for hot-pot on the dining table.
With a 12-inch countertop and built-in design, it offers flexibility for various kitchen setups.
The premium 110v ceramic cooktop provides quick and precise heating, making cooking easier anywhere. It features a touch control panel with convenient options like a child safety lock, timer, pause, and more. The plug-and-play design ensures easy installation.
I use it when I need a cooking surface in the hotel.
This electric cooktop combines style and functionality for a seamless cooking experience
I have renal units and these work great I have 3 in 5 of u
The units I have . Simple to set up.small a fit well.i just cut into the counter top and fit it i
Good – but not Kerinear – came as “Cooksir” Brand, but same burner layout, appeared as if used, (old shipping label inside the box on a piece of cardboard covering the burners) but for the price good and I don’t care! Tried to replace old whirlpool cooktop switches – at about $100 each – and the first one didn’t work, so replaced this one. Seems to work great so far.
ever used this type of hob before, it heats up almost instantly and i wanted something that was strong enough to stand up to my tenants plus easy to connect up.
The manual has an illustration showing some spring clips on the rear and front of the chassis, but in fact the only place to mount them is on each side.
There is enough information to figure out how to use it.
It works great and is a nice upgrade from the cook top that was in this house since 1986.
I recommend it.
Purchased cooktop in October 2022. The control went out in May 2023 and there are no replacement parts to be found. 8 month life is unacceptable. Waste of money.
UPDATE: was contacted by the company after they received my low review. They immediately responded and issued a full refund. Nice to know they stand behind their products and are willing to make it right with their customers!
Hello ladies and gents
After lots of research, so I wouldn’t have to spend top dollar on well known name brand, I decided on this cooktop and I’m very satisfied with the purchase …my wife says after leaving a pot on the cooktop overnight it made a tough stain that we really had to scrub to get it off and if you like to clean while you’re cooking you HAVE to remember to use the “lock” feature…but other than that we are very happy…I had an electrician come to replace my old cooktop with this one and he was done in about 30 minutes…this cooktop is awesome at heating up fast!! Very satisfied…just wish I could of caught the lightning sale for 279.00 smh
Easy to clean, operate, but mounting clips for under counter top needed to have 1inch blocks at each corner for them to work in securing burner. There were no install instructions.
Having a couple of extra burners can be handy. I just moved from a house with a commercial six burner gas cooktop to a house with a four burner electric range. Why would anyone do that you ask? Well, I AM AN IDIOT. In an attempt to mitigate my lack of burners I bought this unit because it plugs into 110 and it is portable. I think it will ultimately end up built into a cabinet in my outdoor kitchen. Seems solid enough for what I would use it for.
1. The correct minimum width cutout size is 29.15″ (not 28.38″). I had to buy a grinder & granite blade to widen my existing cutout (and you would not believe the dust/mess that covered every surface of my entire home! Clean-up was HUGE, so be sure to close off the area if you have to trim granite).
2. The ad says that any kind of pans can be used but the owners manual says to avoid curved bottom pans.
3. On on cooktop I saw a review that said the burners could be turned on too easily, but this one you have to press & hold the unlock button for a few seconds before it will unlock & allow a burner to be turned on.
4. The burners heat up quickly, but pasta doesn’t seem to cook as quickly as my previous electric coil cooktop.
5. The “hot” warning stays on way beyond the actual time it takes to cool, which is a little annoying.
6. I thought cleaning would be easy, but when a bit of food was dropped on a hot burner, cleaning spray wasn’t enough, I had to use a razor blade scraper to get it off completely!
7. It does look nicer than my old cooktop & with the exception of widening the cutout, installation was easy without experience or help. Just be sure to turn off the breaker first!!
