I bought this to use for my security cam local storage. goes very well with the blink sync module. avoid the cloud storage charges. the cap on the USB is very well designed to fit on the other side when not it use. No worry about losing it.

If you want simple usbs to boot from for Os (to dual boot) or for storage of small files this is really great and perfect and they can read and write quite fast as well.

Using this alongside an OTG adapter to extend the storage of my Fire TV 4K stick. Probably a bit over-specified, but it works well. It’s been plugged in for a few months without any hitches.

This is a very good USB, and it is useful for quick read/write speeds.

Only flaw is that it overheats when used for a prolonged period of time, but that’s for most USBs.

    Very good for the price.

Works perfectly for recording the Sentry Mode and Dash Cam video clips in my Tesla Model 3 and considerably less expensive than the Tesla branded 128GB memory stick. Just plug into the USB Port either in glove box or central console (depending on the version year of the car) and format from security screen. Make sure you have enabled Sentry Mode on the Tesla App or Security screen in the car and your done. If you’re home parking or work parking is a secure location it’s worth setting up these as safe locations otherwise ligitmate passers by will keep triggering unnecessary eventson your recording. I have also set up Dash Cam saved recording whenever I sound my horn. As I figured it was something I might do if I was cut up or witnessed something dangerous.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersFor less that 6 a very cheap high capacity USB stick. It is very slow (see table obtained using CrystalDiskMark consistent with others posted in the reviews).

I deduct a star because it is 115.2 GB rather than the 119Gb I would expect from a ‘128GB’ stick. In case you are not familiar with this Windows counts a ‘kilo’ as 1024, so a file reported by Windows as 1 kilobyte would have 1024 bytes. A 128,000,000,000 capacity (ie 1 GB in normal maths) should appear as 128 divided by 1.024 cubed GB in Windows, ie 119GB, but this stick is only 115.2 GB.

If you google ‘why is my 128 GB showing as 115Gb’ or suchlike you will find this is a common problem often put down to formatting, incorrectly in my view. I have yet to find a proper reason why it should be this low other than that the number or ‘normal’ bytes is less than the stated 128,000,000,000, a view supported by the data from RMPrepUSB attached. I have no reason to suspect this is anything other than a genuine Kingston product BTW.

Still, as a basic datastick to carry around it is good value

4.0 out of 5 stars Cheap but slow 115GB only

Bought for me and my mother whose careers are in tech and we both love them.

Not only are they great data pens but the sleek design was what drew them to me in the first place and in real life they live up to that.

Recommend and will 100% buy agai

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our Users128GB used to be vast, maybe not so these days, but it’s still plenty. The one big problem with this type of storage is speed, yes they seem fast at first, but they do slow down, big time as they fill up. Talking of filling up, unfortunately, the UK has been flooded with fake drives in recent years with drives often having a fraction of their stated capacity, and even worse, much much worse, as they get close to their true capacity, they self corrupt and your data goes to Hell.

Well, I filled this USB drive with 128GB (or the humanoid equivalent) of goodies and can confirm that the drive sent to me is definitely the real deal. It’s a good brand and sold at a good price, so it’s a thumbs up.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI seem to endlessly buy memory sticks. It’s not the most effective method of storage, especially when it comes to cost however if you need one, and I have a very specific use case ,then you end up buying them often. So all I will say is that if you are buying a USB Memory stick buy a recognisable brand like Kingston, Scandisc, Integral, and don’t be fooled by crazy sizes like 1TB at stupid cheap prices. This is a good example of a Memory stick that works well.

Capacity is what I wanted for a small price and that’s what I got, if you think you get 64GB of space then you need to go do some reading because with every drive you never ever get that amount. Wether it’s a hard drive or SSD any storage device you always loose about 4GB depending on the drive capacity, it’s always been like that with this you have around 58.8GB free.

Transfers not huge but most drives aren’t for the cheap price around 1-3mb/sec depends on what I’m moving to it and that’s via a USB3.1 port.
