- Based on “out-of-box performance” using a PCIe 3.0 motherboard. Speed may vary due to host hardware, software and usage.
- Some of the listed capacity on a Flash storage device is used for formatting and other functions and is thus not available for data storage. As such, the actual available capacity for data storage is less than what is listed on the products.

It’s got a much faster Read/Write than SATA SSD’s, and it’s Kingston so despite being so cheap it’s a reputable brand and so far I definitely have not been disappointed.
Works perfectly and I find Kingston to be a trusted and reliable brand
It would have been nice if they supplied the 1 tiny screw that you need to install the drive though
Works well for the PS5 but when it’s installed it says its slower and won’t be as fast as the default one that’s already inside but since using it I have not noticed the difference in speed
This is a decent M.2, I got this because a crucial P3 drive failed on me, Needed one asap coz warranty would take a while, Don’t be fooled by the price of this Kingston M.2 drive, It still loads and performs as good as the Crucial P3 I hate to say, lol, Think they different in a few ways though, I would definitely get another Kingston M.2 so that says enough for me, lol, Yeah this is a decent M.2 people….
I bought this SSD to replace my old HDD and I’m very happy with it. It was very easy to install, I just plugged it in on my motherboard and it was ready to go. No need for any cables. I tested it with h2testw and it showed that it was a genuine device with no errors or bad sectors. The speed is amazing, it is much faster than my old HDD. I would highly recommend it.
Bought to replace a DOA Crucial one. Should have bought it in the first place. Easy to set up on a brand new build using GPT on a UEFI motherboard.
This m.2 is fantastic and cheap. I originally got it for 50 and it was good. I speed tested it and had no regrets. I’ve since installed one in my backup pc, my nephews and my dads. Then I saw it for 35! (how is it so cheap!).
You won’t regret buying this.
It’s cheap, boots quick and I chose 1TB of storage which is more then enough for me.
Normal use case scenarios it’s very good but does show it’s cheap side when doing more intensive tasks.
Coming across a PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD 1TB for under 50 would normally have me thinking “What’s wrong with it?”. But this is Kingston, and I have never had an issue with Kingston products… this has not disappointed.
It’s fast, reliable, and has been running as my O/S and core system drive for a couple of months now. I’ve also fitted one in my housemate’s PS5 and he’s had no issues installing and running games from it.
Definitely recommend.
Just the thing to upgrade my PC. I wanted the speed of SSD, but did not want to compromise on storage. I have cloud backup, but like to store my files locally too, ensuring I have everything accessible in the event of provider failure.
My PC did not have a direct M.2 slot, but I bought an adapter to install in a spare PCI Express port, and this overcame the problem.
I now have fast boot times, and plenty of space for everything I’m ever likely to store.
I trust Kingston as a brand, and purchased from Amazon themselves, rather than the general marketplace, as I know there are bogus drives about. There was a good deal on, and I am happy with the outcome.
Purchased specifically for the PS5. Easy to install and works perfectly, the PS5 did pop up a warning about the speed but that only came up once. not had an issue with using it and installing games. i have played games saved on this drive and did not see any difference. very good value for the money i paid.
I couldn’t actually believe the price of this nvme. Much needed upgrade, it’s not the fastest, but fast enough for decent productivity and a trusted brand to say the least. Easy installation! Although may differ from your laptop or motherboard manufacturers, but I’m sure you will find it a doddle, great product, worth looking into!
One of the key benefits of this SSD is its PCIe 4.0 interface, which provides faster data transfer speeds compared to previous PCIe standards. This allows for faster boot times, application loading, and file transfers, making it an ideal choice for gamers, content creators, and professionals who need high-speed storage for their work.
I’m not sure why the compact design of this SSD is boasted so much – all SSDs of this size are compact and work perfectly in any compatible PC or laptop.
My only negative is that it doesn’t come with a heat sink but you can pick these up quite cheaply and you will have to add it yourself (pretty easy to do, watch youtube vid)
Overall, the Kingston NV2 NVMe PCIe 4.0 SSD is a top-quality storage device that offers exceptional performance, reliability, and compatibility. It is an excellent choice for anyone looking for a high-performance storage solution for their computer, and it is well worth the investment.
Cheapest on the market for gen 4 (at time of this review) I’ve been using this for 3 months with no issues.
When the 1TB version dropped to just under 44, my plan to have another 2TB of fast storage/scratch drives became a reality within my budget.
The screenshots below show single drive performance versus a pair of these in RAID0. Lifetime should be very good in this configuration as each drive only receives half of the data as writes, effectively adding the TBW of both drives together.
Performance in RAID0 is very close to that of my 500GB Crucial P5 Plus PCIe 4.0 OS drive, so large file transfers between the two are incredibly fast.
Definitely a bargain when on special offer. Grab one (or two)!
Put this as boot/system drive in an Acer Aspire XC-885 and the boot time is amazingly fast 3-4secs ..
The OS is soo much more responsive, the PC is running at the same speed obv’ but feels soo much snappier ..
Much faster than a SATA SSD ..!
Anywho just ordered myself a 1TB and PCI-E adaptor for my old i5 system ..
