Fat Trappers are something our customers come back for time and time again. Once tried, they won’t grill food without them. Like Pauline Walsh, for instance. She’s a huge fan of them, so much so that when she buys them, she orders 10 packs at a time! Pauline told us, “I love Fat Trappers – couldn’t live without them. I usually use two a week. On a weekend when the whole family is home, I cook mushrooms, tomatoes, sausages and rashers under the grill, and the Fat Trappers just wick up all the fat, keeping the rack and grill pan really clean. These are brilliant they just soak up the fat and grease like a sponge and when you need to replace them there is hardly any mess in the grill pan – just a quick wipe and replace. I really wish they made different sizes as I need to use two on my large grill pa
Quite expensive if you were to use regularly as they’re disposable. They cannot be used on closed grills which wasn’t mentioned anywhere except on packaging when they arrived. They are quite slim & didnt fully fit my grill pan, only the middle section but are useful if in a rush and don’t have time to clean the grill as they soak up the fat and can be thrown away but overall, I wouldn’t buy again.
They do stop all the messy “fat spitting” on the grill but I go through them very quickly, then I hesitate to buy more due to the price,
I’ve tried cheaper versions but they come nowhere near and in fact nearly ruined my new grill due to the cheap paper underside welding itself to my grill bars, stuck like glue and left the paper everywhere .
I wish they would do some sort of “offer” on these, then I would definately stock up on them.
I would not be without these now and never grill any food without using them. They cook the food lovely but no clean up or mess. All the grease and mess soaks into the pad and you can then just dispose of them and you grill/oven does not get dirty in any way
We’ve been using these for years but being able to get them via Amazon is so much more convenient than a schlepp to our nearest Lakeland which isn’t what you would call near.
These are the best fat trappers we have found – it is astonishing how much fat they collect.
I’ve seen various comments about not using these in closed door grills – I hadn’t noticed this on the packaging (maybe it wasn’t there when we first started using them) but we have been using them on the grill function in two different ovens (AEG & Neff) for at least ten years without mishap for grilling chops, escalopes, sausages, bacon, etc.. Oops!
This is an excellent product, just wish they came in a larger pack 10 is not economical for me so would like to see maybe pack of 20 for more attractive price. Apart from that very satisfactory product and very happy with prompt delivery.
I always use these when grilling sausages and burgers. They stop the fat from ‘catching’ and make the pan so much easier to clean. I use mine under the rack, as many others seem to do. I wouldn’t be without them so I’m always well stocked.
We use ours in the bottom of our grill pan below the mesh, bacon drips,burger juices mostly all absorbed in this product, our grill is used infrequently but I change ours when required certainly not every use,pop it in the bin, a wipe down of grill pan with paper towels,grillpan into the dishwasher good as new, and fit another fat soak up.
These really soak up the grease from anything cooked on them. My only complaint is they didn’t cover the whole grill pan but a lot of brands are the same.
I have used these Fat Trappers for years and never found any thing else that even comes close when it comes to efficient fat trapping, no mess cooking and value for money
Arrived within 2 days of ordering! Used Fat Trappers for years and they do exactly what you want them to! Absorb a horrendous amount of fat when grilling bacon, sausages, chops etc. Helps keep grill pan from getting to greasy.
