Does the job for the value.
Good battery (they’re usually on for 3 to 4 hours without any issues)
Small and look good on the guitar as well. There’s a little pad, so when applied against the guitar, it doesn’t damaged it.
Had them now a month and they’ve been brilliant. I’ve played about 5 gigs with them and they last plenty for 2 hour gigs. Easy to charge. Great reach, I stray from the stage 20 metres away and they work perfectly. Would highly recommend
Set up and connecting was quick and easy and they provide a nice sound, it’s not tinny. The battery life is really good, I tend to turn them off when I’m not playing but even then they can last up to 4 weeks without a charge but it’s clear when they do need charging.
Very lightweight. The tx and rx see each other almost instantly and having plugged it into my DAW to compare to a cable, I’m very satisfied. The spectrum analyser shows little difference.
As one rx can see any tx at the same channel, I may look to buying two more to go wireless between my mixer and powered speakers. I go mono anyway so.
First impressions good. Very easy to setup and range is impressive. The band were very interested and we may well be buying more. Capacity and signal conflict will be interesting to explore.
Easy quick charging and straightforward use.
Work to at least 20 feet(i ran out of apt at this point)lasts for about 4 hours or so. Had them for 5 or 6 months and i’m more than happy with no cable guita
Easy initial charging through usb port on pc and ready to use straight away. Sound quality seems as good as a cable. Not had a chance to assess battery life yet.
They work perfectly with one guitar/amp setup, it says they don’t interfere with others, so I bought exactly the same again so another guitarist could be wireless and set them on different frequencies but they interfere with each other so bad that they can’t be used at the same time.
These are absolutely fine for home use and rehearsing, although mine started to crackle when the batteries weakened after about 2 hours use. Not sure about gigging reliability where I use another brand that costs twice as much, with at least 4 hours of battery time and a light indicator for recharge warning.
Use these for home practice and rehearsals. Have to say, I’m impressed. USB charged, decent battery life and I can’t hear any latency. Not sure I’d trust them on stage (for this money, that would be a little unfair), but excellent for home use. Good value for the money
I bought this wireless guitar system (WS- 80) as a bit of a gamble, to connect my powered monitor to our mixer. It worked perfectly, the only reason for 4 stars is the lack of volume adjustment, so I have had to increase the levels of monitor out on the mixer and input to my monitor. I have now ordered a second system to use with my MP3 player for pre and post gig music, which I have tried out with my original set. Much easier than using the cables I have had to use to date. The price is great compared to others, at time of purchase at 31.36. As it’s for guitar it is naturally mono, but that doesn’t cause me a problem. Each set can easily be adjusted between four settings so each pair can be used (up to four) totally separate or connect one transmitter to several receivers for connecting to several amp heads. Definitely worth trying.
Early days but so far so good can’t yet comment on battery life
Easy to set up
Very small amount of background hiss but acceptable.
Used at a gig and practice no issues so far
30/8/23 update:
Still going strong on first charge 2 rehearsals 2 hrs each and a 3 hour gig working really well no complaints
Don’t notice any background noise or drop in quality .
Bought for my husband who is an avid guitar collector with a particular penchant for fenders. Having spent hours going through the reviews for various models of various prices I plumped for this one and was not disappointed. Just plugged and played straight from the box. Perfect !!
I gig with my band 2-3 times a week and these work amazingly well every time. I’ve not found a venue that too big for me to be able to walk around and still play
Really impressed, can’t believe I spent years struggling with dodgy cables cracking letting you down, let alone pulling out cables needing guitar repairs, money well spent could buy again for other amps ,guitars
I bought these because I’m fed up with cables, gigging in a 5 piece band! One less cable was my idea. I’m blown away with just how good this wireless set is, so much I’m thinking of getting another! It would be great if they do microphone adapters as well!
My wife bought me these as a birthday present as I was constantly getting my guitar lead caught under the castors of my chair whilst rehearsing at home moving from computer to foot pedal causing the lead to be pulled out. At the price I didn’t expect too much but thought they would be fine for home rehearsal. Tried them for the first time and they were excellent. I had a couple of gigs over the weekend that I was depping for a rock band so thought I would try them out as there would be a number of wireless systems in place (other guitars, radio mike’s etc) just to see if was any interference or the odd taxi fare being transmitted. I have to say these units are absolutely excellent, easily handled 3 hours of playing ( they quote 8hrs and I believe them). I also have a professional unit which cost nearly 10 times more than these and there is no difference in operation. Obviously I don’t know how these units would operate if everyone in the band had one but if you ever thought you would like to go wireless but couldn’t afford the professional kit then definitely go for these they work just fine.
Wire free transmitters and receivers by Lekato are easy to use, convenient and simply good value. As long as you don’t lose one or you’ll have to buy a new set, as I did.
I bought these on the merit of another review saying don’t let the price put you off… he was right. I bought them because I was always getting crackles between my amp and guitar. I thought I’d try this not really expecting much. I had two gigs yesterday, and they we’re brilliant. I charged them up, even that was quick!! And did two gigs on the one charge. It made the sound check so much easier too and no leads round my feet!! Great buy
First got this wireless system about a year ago as a gift. It does the job well. Use it every week around the house. No problems at all. Nice and compact. Just got a second set so I’ve always got one charged and ready to go. No more cables. No more trip hazards for me.
UPDATE: Transmitter stopped working due to loose connection around the output jack. Lekato sending a replacement.
As the title says:
These work great for bass guitars and after trying a slew of ‘wireless’ using all methods from UHF – RF etc they all lacked in the lower frequencies and those were ‘made for bass guitars’ and not the standard guitars / semi-acoustic etc…
I’m super fussy about cables and all audio components and even more picky when it comes to instruments and having the right gear for the right job and so shunned anything Bass wise due to that missing something or the real delay (not perceived but actual) using other units akin to these.
I wanted something for my kitchen rig (Yes, I have a cab / head and a 6 string in my kitchen by my laptop for those inspirational moments) that meant no more tripping over cables and actually kept the ‘look’ more kitchen than studio / stage…
Saw these and thought “Hey, if they don’t work out I can send them back with a full tech sheet as to why”
I can tell you this: These are keepers and actually thinking of investing in 2 or 3 more pairs.
Tested range for quality and any delay due to range too… from kitchen (playing) to the rig set up power in the shed at the bottom of a long garden (To the annoyance of my neighbours) and no problems(Distance equates to a stadium stage width).
Tested using an Ibanez 6 string Bass with Blackbeauties by DR Strings through an Ampeg PF350 into a 2 x 12 cab containing TurboSound spks and getting all the frequencies required for my kitchen / garden rig.
I’ve been pleasantly surprised by the product given its price point. Works well for me upto a distance of 50 ft after which a slight lag became noticeable on bass guitar. I have encountered some treble hiss if I dial in a “Miller-esque” tone but to be honest it won’t be noticed in a band context. Good value!
This is the same brand in guitar shops, it’s abit professional, it’s basic for an at home wireless kit. Plus and play. It does the job whilst practicing at home especially if you have animals that bite cables or you don’t have room for amp and guitar next to you.
Hi,
I thought I would try these as the price was hardly different to, Two Fender braided cables I was using. After five months of use, they have been excellent, sound is spot on, no buzzing or any other interference. The battery life is good, reckon up to eight hours before charging but it does take a while to recharge. I play my guitars as a hobby only, ( I’m long retired ) not as a working musician, so don’t know what the effect is in a larger open space. Set up is simple, Transmitter into your guitar, receiver into your amp. If you use a pedal board its, Cable from amp to the first pedal on your setup, the Transmitter into the guitar, and receiver into the last pedal in your setup. Regular cleaning of all you electrical contacts is a must, I use WD40 fast drying contact cleaner, its on the Amazon site, works a treat, and cheap.
Kind Regards.
