Item does exactly what I’d hoped: three x three-pin points, two USB points and fits flush to the wall, as I’ve a small compact kitchen where a standard adaptor, with the associated plug-ins, would be an issue.
This is an excellent idea to extend your electrics without having to put up with an additional trailing cable if you just want to have more plugs. I hsve two of these and both suit my needs perfectly
Using it in a bedroom. Very handy having individual switches and. USB. Decent quality and style would not block if in a double socket. Would recommend for a 3 socket adapter.
This is ideal in the kitchen for charging phone, iPad and watch, yet still have sockets free for other things. Used it in my caravan too. I like to be able to turn individual sockets off with the isolator switches. Really pleased with it.
It’s good, individual power switches are useful and the usb sockets are great. The usb C especially. You do have to hold onto it when plugging in or unplugging anything because it is not flush with the wall so down vote that.
In this day and age we often need an extra socket/usb/usb c. For every device that you need to plug in, this will take care of it all.
Regards Philip
The unit suits my purposes well, both in terms of quality and the fact that, with the double wall socket, it does not block the right hand side. The slight snag is that as the wall socket is slightly proud of the wall, when using the left most adaptor socket care is needed to ensure a good contact is maintained My solution is to use a small piece of folded card to fill the gap between the adaptor and the wall.
So far so good. I like the power surge protection, and the individual on/off switches, and the shape (which doesn’t block the second wall socket). The 2 USB ports work, but the USB-C doesn’t work properly which is annoying. I will probably keep, but I’d think twice about buying this brand again.
I wasn’t exactly looking for a new one, as I have an existing four way that is pretty similar, but saw this with the added USB and USB C ports, as well as the individual on/off switches – a must for enduring the cost of living crisis. Really pleased with it – much smaller profile than the old one. Can use my other socket no problems, not too fiddly to use the on/off switches. Word to the wise though: the USB/USB C sockets get VERY hot, very quickly, so perhaps don’t leave things to charge overnight? However excellent to have as standby in my bedroom if resting during the day. I’d say it feels somewhere between flimsy and sturdy – I don’t think it will break quickly, but if hit hard etc it might well sustain damage – feel it’s pretty good value for money.
Let start with the cons.
The way it sits in the wall socket means that when you remove any plugs from the extension socket, it feels unsteady. It feels like it will pull the whole extension out of the wall socket.
This is however mitigated by holding the top of the extension socket as you pull out the plug from it.
The positives are that it looks clean, it looks like it is quality, and so far it has worked perfectly for me
Yes, it does have ample socket points for three separate gadgets but my computer source plug is bulky so I’ve left the middle socket empty. I think the weight of the computer plug is the reason why the top part of this plug needs pushing in from the top to ensure contact with electricity My computer supplier representative to my home this week, fortunately, said it was OK to use when he needed to check my phone line. I was being cautious because an Electrician informed me any electric adapter going into an established electric point should be avoided and far better to install more electric sockets. Having already TWO double points in the tiny room needing this adapter, if I was rewiring the whole of my home again, of course, be advised by such a professional.
The item arrived in a plain box, which can be fully recycled. Included is a small instruction pamphlet with the usual safety advisories.
The design is such that it is slightly offset towards the left. This means that on a double wall socket, it will not obstruct the other socket, provided you use a plug with lead on it — a larger device, like a powerline plug, will surely be blocked though. It does not obstruct the switch on the wall socket either.
The extension sits flush with the wall socket. Unfortunately, it does not come with an adjustable feet for the wall. This means that when you plug in something in the outer-most (left) socket of the plug, the plug might come out of the wall socket a bit.
The grounding pin is connected to all three sockets on the plug. I’m just putting that out here, as there was a similar plug on Amazon that stated it should not be used with appliances that require a ground.
I was disappointed to note that one of the safety door was permanently open. I could see that it was present, just that it would not close. I’ve taken a star off the rating due to this. In my case it is still useable, but obviously one should take care to double-check it if you have toddlers around that can reach it.
The USB ports work, but haven’t checked the voltages under load. I’ll leave that to another reviewer.
Other than the safety door issue, it appears to be well made – it doesn’t feel like “cheap plastic”. I like the aesthetics of the plug as well. I can’t vouch for its longevity, but will certainly update this review if that’s been an issue.
