    Pros:
    – A true Spiderman experience continuing on from the excellence of SM: Miles Morales and SM 1
    – Never gets old webswinging through the beautiful NYC
    – The costumes are amazing and fun to unlock

    Cons:
    – The story didn’t hit as hard as the previous titles.
    – the story seemed a bit more difficult (could be a case of get good bro)

A really wonderful and entertaining game that is well worth playing. Fantastic graphics and soundtrack and the actual gameplay is fun. I knocked a star off as the game felt a little short for the selling price of 70. I do think it could have done with some extra main missions and a little more side content. I think about another 3-4 hours of content and this would have been perfect.

I just picked this up as a little birthday present to myself.

I’ve played both of the previous games and very much enjoyed them,

This one brings together both Spider-Men (Peter and Miles) and add a lovely bit of variety by moving between them for different missions and tasks.

Combat is still smooth and great, Traversal is awesome with a Wing Suit now added to Web Slinging.

The story is the only thing that stops it getting 5 stars. It’s just a little dull and I don’t find the antagonist Kraven to be engaging.

Overall though it’s still a very good game that will provide hours of fun for gamers who love the series.

This is a fantastic game. It builds upon the original game mechanics, but a bit more smoother, oh and the fast travel, it really is fast! An incredible feat for the PS5 and well worth adding to your collection.

Pre-ordered the game to get it on the release date after enjoying the first Spiderman, and the second one was just as outstanding. The plot was very engaging, focusing on both Peter and Miles. One of the main parts of Peter’s story was the impact on himself and other characters, like Miles, Harry, and Mary Jane, when he gets the black suit, a very unique part. New villains were a great addition to the game, especially Kraven and Venom for the main story, and Mysterio, Sandman, and Chameleon for side missions. Managed to platinum the game within a month, well worth 60, and a brilliant sequel. Hope theres a Spiderman 3 at some point in the future, the ending of this game suggests that Norman Osborn, and possibly the Green Goblin, will be a big part.

I loved the first two Marvel’s Spider-Man games in this series, and this one picks up where they both left off. I won’t post any storyline spoilers, but I will say that it is a very enjoyable story to play through.
The combat is as good as ever, but traversing through the city is where you will find the biggest change and improvement – using web wings to glide over the river is very satisfying.
I am yet to complete all the side missions and crimes, etc. so even though I have finished the story there is plenty for me to keep going on.
Overall, I would highly recommen this game to all PS5 owners

Overall, I really enjoyed Spider-Man 2. The main storyline, though meandering, does come to a satisfying narrative conclusion. Like in the first Spider-Man game the emphasis is on the relationship between characters rather than some mysterious external baddie (the MCU could learn from this I think). The dialogue could be clunky and over-wrought (though there are some good quipy spiderman zingers from time to time), but it’s still a fun story with good emotional character beats. The relationships between Peter and Miles, Peter and Harry and Peter and MJ were all fleshed out well throughout the course of the game.

The fighting mechanics are as good as they are in previous games, with only minor tweaks to the formula from Spider-Man 1 and Spider-Man Miles Morales. The combination of special moves, gadgets parrying dodging and finishing moves makes for a fun combat experience that flows well. The range of baddies is not huge (maybe 20 or so different stock goon types)) but it’s still satisfying to watch.

New York is as gorgeous as ever but it’s a really familiar landscape now after two games and a bunch of DLC. Maybe they could take a field trip to Tokyo next time?

The only major complaint and why it gets four stars is that nearly all of the side missions were dull and repetitive. Each one was some variation of fetch A and/or fight B. I completed the game 100% out of stubbornness rather than enjoyment of the content. Some of the story side quests, like the ones involving the flame cult felt like a distraction. The stealth sections with MJ were laughably bad in some places. Evidently trained hunters can’t hear someone sneaking up behind them in jeans. But then they can’t seem to look up and Spiderman either. Energy AI is just generally weak throughout to the point that it distracts from the fludity of the action.

If you’re gonna buy the game, I would just play it for the main storyline and skip all the side bits as they’re mostly a waste of time.

Really enjoyed the story for Spiderman 2, it has an amazing story and the gameplay improved a lot, but there’s no new game + options which kinda sucks after you’ve unlocked everything previously, as when you finish the main story there’s barely anything to do apart from punching up some NPC thiefs.

This is the sequel to the PlayStation 4 video game, it plays like a open world spider man game with various things to do in the levels and it also involves beating main bosses and beating lots of other people up in on the streets in the video game. It has all the button pressing of the original PS4 title and the graphics are pretty impressive on the PlayStation 5. This video game itself is similar to the Assassin Creed video games. You preform all sorts of different combination moves in this one like the previous Spiderman video game to defeat bosses and different enemies I am about a hour into this video game and I am enjoying it.

Great game and experience especially from the story telling side. I’m quite bias when it comes to Spider-Man and prefer Peter Parker however this game made me really love playing as miles morales.

The difference between these two spidermen and their game play made it an enjoyable experience.

Not to throw any spoilers out there but, theres many moments in the game where it has you on the edge of your seat and plucks at your heart strings. From the struggle of Peter wanting to live a normal every day life whilst juggling being Spider-Man to miles trying to live up to the mantle of Spider-man and balancing the emotions of revenge vs letting go it’s a rollercoaster of emotions.

Every characters struggle plays a part in telling the wider story and in the end it leaves the franchise at a point where new stories are yet to be told.

    Let’s talk about gameplay.

The gameplay is solid has been refined to the nth degree not much to add here it’s taken the formula from the Batman Arkham games and ran away with it.

Mastery of the combat system is fulfilling when you enter an encounter and don’t take a hit.

Traversing New York is fun and exciting especially with the new wing suit flight system. It’s an amazing accurate representation of NYC.

I could go on about this game for ages but all in all I’d recommend this game a solid 8/10 I spent at least two solid weeks playing completing every side quest and going for the platinum. A definite buy for any ps5 owner.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersIf you’re sitting on the fence about buying this game , I can tell you it is amazing and a great step up from the last PS4 Spider-Man game.
The graphics and sound are great and an improvement on the original game , the game play is familiar and intuitive and the content of the game intriguing and fulfilling.
The map is huge and once you have completed the main story line there are plenty of side quests and achievements to keep you busy for hours and hours.
The introduction of venom is excellent and very welcome addition.
The story line is good and keeps you engaged although I feel it’s not quite as good as the first one

Ultimately this is a fun , quality game which is going to give you good value , yes it has some glitches and bugs but I’m sure those will be rectified in updates. Nothing that ruins the game play or enjoyment.

    A must S title for your PS5 a library

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersGames are expensive, sometimes I buy my son a game and he soon gets bored, even if it’s a cheap game that’s such a waste. This isn’t a cheap game, not by a long chalk, but, having played and loved the last 2 spiderman games I thought he would love this, so I bought it for him. Now I won’t let my natural modesty cloud this review, it turns out I’m a genius and as predicted he loves this game, I’ve had people see him play the game and say it looks like a movie, which it does. He;s had it a few weeks, played it a lot, today he said a really sad thing happened, I got onto the next level and the game told me it was the last level. He’s now planning to go back and make sure he’s done all the side missions, and got the best scores possible to try to get his progress to 100%. Not a cheap game, but a great game, the people who built it deserve our support, and it’s worth every penny in fun and play time.

I love marvel in general but the first Spider-Man game was one of my favourite games ever, Miles Morales was a great addition to that, and THIS is the final nail in the coffin that soldifies this series as one of if not my most favourite game series. The game is signficantly improved from the first one, in all aspects including story and gameplay and I just love it, can’t wait for a possible third game

Spider-Man 2 has flaws for sure. The story isn’t as strong as the original (still amazing though) and it might be juggling too much. Overall though, it feels like the definitive Spider-Man experience, understanding on a fundamental level that the responsibility of Spider-Man comes with so much sacrifice and that the euphoric highs of Web slinging must be balanced by spending time as Peter Parker and Miles Morales.

Fab game, very happy son BUT was disappointed when I received a book rather than the game. I must say Amazon was amazing in reacting and getting another sent to me the next day. It was for his birthday so all was ok in the end.
All Spidey fans with a PS4/5 must buy this game!!!

Highly recommend the game, I bought it from here because it was 10% cheaper than the other stores and I personally prefer disc version for games I’m very fond of. This game was total class and I would recommend anyone to buy it, especially from here as it came in perfect condition and on time too as a preordered game. Thank you Amazon!

I’ve been a fan of these games from the first Spiderman game on the PS4 through Miles Morales, to Spiderman 2. Each has been an evolution of a game that has just got better, and better, with each iteration.

This is a game you won’t want to miss. Film like cutscenes, epic boss battles and a cracking story to boot. Buy it: you won’t regret it!

Soon as this got teased back in E3 ive been looking forward to playing it. Being a massive marvel fan, Spiderman has long been my favorite character.

Game is A* they’ve improved alot on the first game. Swinging mechanics are fluid and you can spend time just swinging through New York (which looks stunning). Stealth and fighting gameplay is very much the same as the original with some new moves and tech thrown in.

Its refreshing to be able to switch between Miles and Peter keeps things fresh and both have their own side mission and main story missions to work through. Some of the set pieces in the story visually are amazing.

    Highly recommend A+++

Spiderman 2 is the third entry in this game series and offers a lot of positives.

Gameplay – With both Peter Parker and Miles Morales being playable characters, there is more variations in moves and skills which is keeps things fresh for longer, new gadgets have replaced the previous ones, this is more to fit the new enemies and combat than anything else. Some new introductions improve the game such as the web wings and the symbiote powers, makes travelling quicker ,offers some variation and can be lots of fun. The gameplay is a highlight of this entry.

Story (No spoilers) – The story mostly worked for me, each character has their own story arch. Some good villians, Harry is a welcome addition to the series. The voice acting and performances are superb.

Side quests – Two side quests are stand outs, the flame quests and Mysterio, the remaining are collectibles and often feel like filler.

Technical – The game performs very well, graphics are high quality and felt consistent with its performance for 99%, some frames rate drops on a single cut scene was noticable.

Bugs – Playing with day one patch, I did encounter some bugs, fell through a floor and became stuck in a building, game not responding to input once or twice preventing progression but nothing major. A restart from last checkpoint fixed these first time.

To be noted for western countries – Some players may be unhappy with the level of politics and wokeness of the title, it certainly can pull out of the escapism. The game has no police which is weird with the first games spidercop aspect, also not sure what would happen to the criminals left webbed to walls with no police. Lastly an entire mission (homecoming) is completely woke and I know some players will hate this, particularly those that are religious or conservative. It is a shame that a game which is intended to be an escape from reality drags you back to reality with these aspects.

Positives – Good story, great escapism for the most part and it feels like being spiderman again.

    Overall 8 out of 10

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersI pre-ordered it and got it on release day . I am a big fan of insomniac and have played all their previous games .

Spiderman 2 is their best game released to date , once I launched the game I couldn’t out it down and spent hours playing it and not wanting to stop. The story telling so far is amazing , the graphics are the best I have seen on a console it’s the best looking game on the ps5 period . I have not completed the game just yet but after good 5h of gameplay all I can say is that it’s a must play , if you are a fan of their previous Spiderman games this Is just in another level !

5.0 out of 5 stars Game of the yea

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersBeen looking forward to this since completing the first game years ago. Wasn’t a massive fan of the miles game as I’m not big on the whole electricity and going invisible. Anywho I have been at it since was delivered and am mainly trying to do the story as to not see something online about it. Once completed I will go through again at a slower pace and do all side missions etc. This game is a lot better than the others as looks more polished, massive map, you can get about a lot better with the wings your suite has now! Oh and venom! Now tbh I’m quite far in and ain’t seen him yet so have a bad feeling he’s going to be a last boss and that’s it leaving the door open for the next game? Or even a spin off? Anywho what’s not to love if you liked the first or the miles game this is a massive step up!

    Happy swinging
