I really like the pen and how easy it is to use. However, can someone please help me? I bought a case for my iPad and it opens on the left side like a book but the pen only wants to attract magnetically flush on that side and not the open side to the right of the iPad as you are looking at it. Is there something wrong? Thanks. I’d give it five stars if I could work out what’s wrong. Changing the direction of the pen doesn’t make a difference either.

Used with a paper like screen saver (eg MOBIK) it works just as well as the original and ridiculously priced version. But what is best about it is that it does not try to take over. With the Apple Pencil , when you use it in a browser, scribble or not, it shrinks the keyboard – most annoying. Then the browser remembers this and the small keyboard remains even if you try to expand it. The Metapen has no such problem. It supports scribble and has palm rejection and does not try to guess which keyboard you want. It also comes with 2 spare nibs which will wear down quicker with paper like screensavers. It attaches to the iPad (USB C versions). If you lose it its only 20 not 139!

It was 20 and a great alternative to apple pencil. Works really well and the battery lasts a long time. Incredibly surprised by this and was even thinking of getting a second one as a spare!
The kids love it as well. Well impressed!

This pen is easy to use and works just as well as an Apple Pencil, but this one is much cheaper! I use it for around 5-6 hours daily and the charge lasts. Very quick to charge & great value for money!
NOTE: At first, I noticed it didn’t connect to my iPad as I already had an Apple Pencil paired to it. Before using this pen, make sure that you disconnect your Apple Pencil from your iPad via Bluetooth and it should work 🙂

I recently purchased this item as I didn’t want to spend money on an Apple Pencil. For me this pen is absolutely fantastic it is light weight, easy to use and turn on and off. I have been using it for my studies and making notes on my iPad and diagrams and it is smooth with no delays. Makes my writing look really neat and couldn’t be happier with this product. It is definitely worth the money. If I had to be really picky it makes a little noise when using because the nib is plastic but this can be sorted by getting silicone covers if it bothers you. Well worth the money would buy again!

Works perfectly with my daughter’s school iPad. Highly recommend. Much cheaper than apple pen and so far does the same job. Colour choice is brilliant too for children and identification.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis does the job for a fraction of the price of an Apple Pencil. I lost x2 Apple Pencil Gen 2’s and purchased this as a cheaper option. It writes well and connects well. Definitely adjust it to the settings recommended by the developer before use for a better writing/drawing experience. The only downside is it’s not pressure sensitive.

I ended up finding one of my Apple pencils so will use that for more in-depth art, however will still use this as an on-the-go option. Really impressed!

The perfect Apple Pencil dupe, I love it it’s so easy to set up and connect with your iPad and works really well once set up simply tap the bottom to turn off and on. The light is white when on and fully charged turns blue when it’s mid way and flashes red when about to die. It comes with a usb charger and changes pretty quick.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersLittle required by way of set up. Switch on and works straight away with ipad. Great for note taking. Easy to charge. Charge perhaps not the longest. If using intensively will need to charge everyday but also quick to charge.

I got this pen to use with my iPad 10th generation, and it’s works great. I did encounter a small issue, but the customer support was prompt and easy to deal with.

Great pen, backed up with great support.

I bought this to replace my Apple Pencil so I automatically compare the two. I find I wrote better with the Apple Pencil and the charge doesn’t last as long. But I like the fact that it turns off when not in use, it charges quickly, it writes quite well and I like the colour.

Wanted to get the apple pen, but had a look on Amazon and saw this pen, looked at the reviews, and gave it a go.
And I’m SO HAPPY WITH IT. Honestly, don’t even think twice, this pen is brilliant and you’ll save so much money

This pen is fantastic, it works beautifully, charges quickly, I love it. Also no issues with your hand being on the screen
(Esp as I previously had one of those ridiculous ones with the flat plastic disc at the end of the pen, which was irritating and useless)

I have never owned an Apple pen so cannot compare it but it does everything I want it to do. I charged it before using it which took about half an hour and then after switching it on it worked instantly with my iPad Air. It’ s very comfortable to use and you only need a very light touch. It came with replacement tips and because of the light touch they should last a fair. It looks like its battery use should be good too. I am really happy with it.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersWhy would anyone spend so! much extra money buying an Apple Pencil, when this Metapen stylus works so well? It feels as premium as an Apple product and works beautifully. There is no latency when using the Metapen. It starts to write just as the stylus touches the glass, and has all the features I could want, such as tilt sensitivity, pressure sensitivity and palm rejection. It turns on/off with a double tap of the end ‘cap’, turns off if left stationary for a while, and the indicator light lets you know what the state of battery charge is. I purchased the A8 version for my series 9 iPad. Go and buy the official Apple product if you must, I myself will buy a Metapen and pocket the 80 saving.

The pen works really well, I bought the pen for my daughters ipad air 4th generation. She loves it and is very happy with it. For the price it is well worth it.

The installation part can be tricky – on my nieces iPad it doesn’t show in her Bluetooth as a device when trying to connect so you assume it’s not connected – just push the button on to- of the pen and it connects automatically “Had to YouTube a guide” it works fine and she’s very happy with it so I’m happy

Not used a proper apple pen to compare, but this is working well for daughter’s digital art on 9th gen ipad. Only tricky thing is tapping on/off doesn’t always work so four stars.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersThe first stylus I ordered worked a treat. For one day. Then it was as dead as a dodo.
The second stylus was a re-order, following the return of the first. It worked a treat for two days. Then the palm-rejection feature stopped working. Imagine trying to write or draw something on the screen without any fleshy part of your hands or fingers touching the screen – simply impossible.
However, the supplier could not have been more helpful when alerted to my issues with their product – they refunded AND replaced the item straight away, and I’m pleased to report that the latest pencil is (at last) working brilliantly. Things often go wrong with all kinds of electrical items, and it is the way that these issues are dealt with by the supplier which dictate our satisfaction and in this case they could not have been better.
I have now upgraded my rating from 1 to 4 stars.
