This was a Christmas present for my seven year old granddaughter & I was a bit apprehensive about her liking it. Shouldn’t have worried she absolutely loves it. The word being used is ‘brill’.
I am already modifying it, I am not a fan of the strong magnets. Overall it is a great set for the price, impressed with how good it is. Lots of track layout options and the lap counter is awesome.
I think to have the most fun you need a parent who can maintain the cars and track and also has the knowledge to modify the cars to get them really smooth. Slot cars will always feel better set up without magnets, it is no fun just holding the trigger. I get why the magnets are so strong as it means you can run them up walls and make fun tracks.
