Really good quality top that’s lightweight but really warm and seems to ‘breathe’ quite well. The fabric has a real quality feel with a satin-sheen on the outside and a short-pile fleece on the inside. The cut is sized about right around the body but the length and sleeves are slightly generous, which I really appreciate because I’ve got long arms. The finishing is good with no loose threads and all the features, like the embroidered logotype and zip are well done.
It’s comfortable to wear and there’s enough stretch to make it suitable for active wear but it’s obviously better for outdoor wear given how cosy it is. It launders well and dries reasonably fast, I didn’t notice any shrinkage. Sometimes these shiny fabrics snag easily but I haven’t noticed any of that yet either. All together a really decent quality top and worth considering.
Another quality product from Mitre – a great sports top or even for casual day to day wear its made with high quality materials and is well stitched. It had a polyester outer and soft inner lining meaning its great for summer/spring days and would make a great base layer in the winter. The fabric is Mitres ‘proflow’ which helps wick sweat away from the body.
The zip runs smoothly without snagging and the collar is generous so when fully done up you don’t feel like you’re being choked!
Fits true to size and washes well.

I’m so happy with this jumper. The material is soft and such good quality. It’s perfect for pre and post match to warm up. It’s also smart enough to wear casually. Sizing is just right and is light but warm. Would highly recommend!
This sport mens top is amazing. My husband loves it and is very proud of himself wearing it 🙂 end of the day it’s related to sport, he is big football fan. He received size L, as requested a d it fits him perfectly, just like it was made to measure 🙂 Top is very comfortable, fabric is smooth, slightly shiny on outside and warm and a bit fluffy from inside. This top doesnt look warm, I would say is thin but surprisingly it is pretty warm, thanks to the inner fleece layer. 3/4 zip is great, when hot, can open the zip, when is windy can zip it up. Great feature and very useful. Top is slightly longer, which is even better. When banding over, the back will not get cold so it’s important. There is no pockets so no excuse that lost something during run. Nothing will disturb too. On the other side will be nice to have zipper pockets as many of people would like to wear this top for other purposes than sport only.
The overall quality of this long sleeve top is fantastic, its warm enough and provide anti-sweat protection due to its thin nature and composition of material it’s made of.

This is a great pullover. I got it for my husband for running and it’s perfect. He said the shirt is very comfortable, warm, and he likes it so much that he will probably wear it more as a casual shirt than a running shirt..
The products do keep you warm and are not bulky. The material is stretchy and breathable. It washes great—I line dry it. Seems to be good quality and it’s a good price.
Light and comfortable. It washes and drys well without any need for ironing.
I got the large and i have worn it to play golf a couple of times. Its light, the inside is a little fluffy so it does keep you warm, and its stretchy enough to not affect my swing.

This is a bargain at 18.50 (Oct 2020). It is a brilliant top.
It has great wind cheating ability with the soft shell outer.
I love the inside, it is lined in a different textured material that is similar to a fleece. It is very soft and keeps me warm.
It zips up well and the zip has a bit of material at the top which covers it so you can zip it all the way up without the metal zip agitated your chin.
Good quality top. It’s great for running as isn’t too heavy but just enough to keep you warm.
The fit is good and looks nice too. The zip works perfectly without getting stuck.
I would recommend it to anyone who plans to use it for running or play football.

The inside has a lovely lining and I have been wearing this as a layer underneath another top to retain the heat and not feel cold.
Although the sleeves were slightly too big I did roll them up.

This is the official Mitre 1/4 Zip Tracksuit Top, that is 100% polyester, available on black, blue, red or navy and is available in all sizes from XS to XXL (all sizes are generous and not slim fit).
Wearing the top is superb, the zip just comes down a few inches, so in theory it is like a trackie jumper, the cuffs are well ribbed, zip isn’t a cheapie and it is well made which is plain to see in the photos.
I find this top superb, and branded tracksuits come at a premium, looks like Mitre are coming back!

Great quality top which has breathable fabric so perfect for sports and casual wear. Wasn’t very warm so would need something under or over it unless wearing it for a workout out. Im 13 and half stone and 6 foot and large fitted me just right with room to move in. Zipped so I can get my head through but seal the neck area to keep warm. Material is thin but stitching is good quality.
Mitre has long been a name associated with football, offering a good range of kit for use when actually playing sport. I checked out this from their latest range, which offers a classic look in the classic black shade.
This over top is a good size, coming up larger than other tops that I’ve had from Mitre. The material allows plenty of movement and is very suitable for exercise given that it should keep the wind off but also remain breathable. The zips are of good quality and the seal around the waist and arms with the elastic there is appreciated.
Overall if you’re looking for a good warm up top or something to keep the wind (but not rain) on a cooler day this is a good option.
Mitre’s Edge range top fulfils all the criteria for a great sports or training garment. It is manufactured from their ProFlow breathable fabric which is sleek and silky on the outer surface with a very fine, soft fleece type lining inside. The design is a simple high, zipped neck, long line body shape which has a ribbed hem and cuffs giving a good streamlined, body hugging fit. The only ornamentation is the subtle, Mitre logo embroidered on the front; understated and perfect for sports such as cycling and skiing where you don’t want loose garments.
This good quality, stylish top is also suitable for use as a leisure garment and is lightweight and fine enough to be comfortably worn as a first layer under a fleece or jacket, in the winter. It fits very well as the stated size is correct (large is large) and I recommend it.
We went for a size large in this and I would say the sizing is spot on. The zip top is light weight but warm so perfect for training outside. It is made from 100% polyester and it is suitable for washing in the machine.
It is nicely finished with cuffed sleeves and cuffed waist. The mitre branding is embroidered on and it feels durable.
Good value sports top from Mitre brand, outer shell made of polyester standard sports fabric with a soft sheen and a soft felt like lining also in polyester, it’s surprisingly weighty, excellent for colder training days. This one is in a size large, actually true to size, slightly longer in the body and definitely longer in the sleeves than other brands in the same size. My hubby is a medium to large depending on the brand, he probably could have had a medium (please see photos of him in the large) he’s 5′ 9″. It looks nicely stitched with cuff sleeves and hem with a quarter front opening front and stand up collar. The lining is designed to keep you warm and keep perspiration away, hence the ‘Proflow’ term embroidered the front. It is machine washable but not suitable for tumble drying due to the outer fabric. I found it still dried quite quickly hung on a coat hanger in the airing cupboard. I recommend it, please see my photos, I hope my review is helpful to you, thanks for reading it.
This 100% polyester zipped top looks great, and is really good quality, as one would expect from a top brand like Mitre.
It is ideal for wearing in warm weather because the material doesn’t make you too hot, and when dirty it is very easy to wash at 30-40 degrees C, and then tumble dry carefully on a low heat.
I am usually Medium – Large size, so ordered the Large to be on the safe side. The fit is a little snug, so be careful to go for a size larger if you are on the borderline between two sizes, or are in any doubt.
Despite the slightly snug fit, I really like it. It goes with jeans or jogging bottoms, and I will be using mine in the gym, and when out jogging.
A good looking, quality garment.
This is a really comfortable 1/4 zip top from Mitre. This is ideal for sport or simply for casual wear. It works well as an outer top or even as a layer underneath a heavier outer coat in the winter.
I have quite broad shoulders, so was worried that the large might be a little tight. Thankfully, I was so wrong. This fits really well and has a fair amount of stretch in the material too; without looking like it’s pulling.
The best aspect of this top has to be the generously sized collar. More often than not, collars are too tight if you have a wide neck, meaning that you can’t do them up. The collar on this top, however, is perfect. It does up easily on my 17″ neck and will still stretch beyond that. Very comfortable. This makes it perfect when you want that additional wind protection when doing sport, walking or just to take the chill off your neck.
I can’t recommend this more. It’s fantastic quality and we’ll deserving of a 5 star review.
This is a very comfortable Top from Mitre’s Edge range. The Top is made from 100% Polyester with ribbed,and slightly elasticated, hem and cuffs.
Mitre call their fabric Proflow, it’s designed to wick sweat away from your body for dryness and comfort, it’s smooth and silky on the outside with a softer texture inside that feels really nice against the skin. While all this clever technology is designed for sports use I’d guess mostly these Tops will be bought as leisurewear.
The Top is very smart in an understated way,mine is Black with an embroidered Mitre logo on the wearer’s right hand side and discreet Proflow labelling just above the hem.
The manufacturers are marketing these tops as Spring/Summer wear but they’re thin enough to wear as a layer during Winter if you’re a Hiker or Motorcyclist.
One thing to be aware of are the washing instructions,not least don’t tumble dry. Firstly if you tumble dry polyester at a high temperature it can shrink,deform or even melt. You can usually get away with doing it on a cool setting but if you don’t take it out while still damp it’ll build up static or wrinkle but if it goes wrong you’ve ruined your top. The manufacturers know these things and they say….don’t do it.
Whether you’re a Sportsman or just looking for good quality Summer leisurewear this is a good buy at the current price of 18.
I can’t find any size information in Mitre’s Amazon description of this product,hopefully they’ll remedy that , until they do your Search Engine of choice will point the way to the Mitre website and enlightenment,and in my case at least the sizing was spot on.
