MSI GeForce RTX 4070 GAMING X TRIO 12G Graphics Card – RTX

MSI GeForce RTX 4070 GAMING X TRIO 12G Graphics Card – RTX 4070 GPU, 12GB GDDR6X (21Gbps/192-bit), PCIe 4.0 – TRI FROZR 3 (3 x TORX Fan 5.0), RGB – HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 1.4a

Core Pipes
Heat distributing Core Pipes are precision-machined in square-profile for maximum contact surface along the GPU and run the full length of the heatsink for optimal cooling.
ZERO FROZR (0 RPM Mode)
ZERO FROZR is the calm before the storm with 0 RPM mode when temperatures are relatively low. This eliminates all fan noise when using low-demand graphics.
GPU fan cooling automatically activates whenever the heat is on during system-demanding gaming.
Bundled Support Bracket
A bundled support bracket can be deployed to provide additional support.
Aluminium Backplate
A sturdy aluminium backplate reinforces the full length of the graphics card.

Its just a high standard graphic and audio card. It does not look like Blackpool illuminations when it is plugged in and working. So in my opinion not wasting any power.. Very compact with two fans and easy to install.
I bought this as it is far superior to the 4060TI and is one of if not the cheapest 4070 around. Was concerned around performance compaired to the triple fan but was also drawn to the fact of its size (approx 240mm long) and the praticality of fitting it in a reasonably small case. I have to say I am impressed with the performance running along side a 13th gen I7, 16GB DDR5 ram and a reasonably fast M2 SSD. Nothing has phased it yet and it doesnt run hot. Not had any issues with excessive fan nose or the fans on the card running at warp speed. Really impressed and glad I didnt spend another 300 plus for a 4070TI or a tripple fan version.
It’s a fine GPU. With a TDP of 200w and 2×8 pins I don’t see anything going wrong power-wise. The dual fan dual slot heatsink is perfectly adequate at keeping it below 80 degrees at 100% gpu+mem utilisation provided your case has good airflow. Online teardowns show plenty of thermal padding on the memory modules so I’m not worried about that either. At the prices other 4070 AIBs are selling you triple fan cards, might as well pony up for a 4070 ti
Don’t believe the hype.
Not much to say really, but a great card does all i need .
Good price point, runs all my games /videos/streams etc. fine no problem .
I like .
Impressed by the performance on the dual fan, went it it to guarantee I wouldn’t have to change the power supply neither my tower and it performs great.
The price comparing to similar is good, off course in general NVIDIA items are ridiculously expensive and a 4070 shouldn’t cost this much.
Meine PC Hardware:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 5900x
GPU: Nvidia RTX 4070
RAM: 64GB
Ordered at 7.30am , was delivered at 6pm the same day.
Card is quite small and I haven’t heard the fans as of yet, but once Starfield comes along we shall see about that.
Very happy.
the double bearings on the fans allow for high speed cooling, I barely manage to push it above 60 degrees Celsius running the latest Call of Duty on max settings.
however it does require to separate connections to your Power Supply, I do recommend it for anyone who wants high performance in games.
Excellent decision, easy installation and the power connector exactly the same as old card so the lead just plugged straight in and in the Sam position so didn’t have to redo my neat and tidy cable loom.
Did a clean install of the 40 series nvidia drivers and let the fun begin.
I have a Intel core i5 9600k cpu running at 4.2ghz, 32gb of ddr4 3200 ram with corsair liquid cooling.
My 3600 ran games OK but I can now play Control, MSFS 2020 in 4k on ultra smooth as you like!
Pico 4 pcvr gaming is now clearer and faster, playing Half Life Alyx on ultra and it is smooth as you like and loads quickly , looks fantastic!
Bit more than I really wanted to pay but my gaming experience and enjoyment more than makes up for the cost!
Highly recommended.
Gods of War -> tutto su ultra
Happy with the purchase though and have seen a bigger improvement in frames per second than what I was expecting. What impressed me the most though is how much more efficient it is over my old 3070 triple fan cooler – this is smaller and I was a bit concerned at first with cooling. I didn’t need to worry though because this runs a lot cooler than the 3070. I’ve not seen it go over 65 degrees and I run it on my sim rig driving 4 monitors which pretty much gives it a lot of work to do.
If you value money more than I do, I would say it’s not worth the upgrade from a 3070. But it’s a very good upgrade without going down the even more expensive 4080/4090 route. This has easily managed everything I’ve thrown at it so far.
At first I was pretty skeptical as to whether or not I’d be able to actually play any games at 4K resolutions with this card, as it is primarily marketed toward 2K gamers. But I was positively surprised when I saw that this card could run newer titles like MW2 on 4K at a stable 60 FPS on high/ultra settings! I’ve also tested a few indie titles, as well as some games that are rather poorly optimized – and still, the card kept up the good work at 4K! I cannot speak for every title out there, but I am fairly confident that the 4070 will give most newer games a run for their money!
For reference, I have an older build with an i7-8700, 32 GB DDR4 RAM, and a smaller mid-tower case with a not so beefy PSU. At first, I was dreading the idea of buying a modern GPU, simply because most cards nowadays are incredibly large in size, and draw an immense amount of power on high loads. But what a breath of fresh air it was to see a GPU of this kind coming in at only 24 cm, with a TDP of only 200W!
I genuinely thought that this card would overheat and throttle as a result, but after several hours of gaming at high loads, the temperatures seemed to remain stable at 60-65 degrees Celcius (which admittedly, for a dual-fan GPU is pretty good!). And as advertised, the power consumption also stayed around the 200W mark.
That said, I am quite impressed with this GPU. I know that a lot of reviewers out there are giving this card a thumbs down, which seems to be mostly due to the performance to price ratio. And while one can argue that (at the time of writing), 670 for a mid-tier GPU is pricy (and I would generally agree, even for the European market!), the matter of fact is that from a price point of view there aren’t many options if you want a GPU with a low TDP, small form factor, a decent amount of VRAM to keep you going for a few years, and the newest technologies such as DLSS 3.0. If size and power draw isn’t a concern for you, then definitely give the 6000-series from AMD your consideration, but I am personally very happy with my decision to buy this card in the end even if it came at a steep price, simply because it fit my use case.
This card will definitely not be for everyone out there, but given some of the unique features of this card then I definitely think it has a place in the current market. Though, it would be nice though to see prices for future Nvidia releases drop to what they used to be for the older generations, as this would enable even more people to enjoy the newest technologies.
Good performance with lower power/temps and quieter and smaller than most of my recent cards so I’m happy.
