This is the best buy I have made. Used it for my long runs and had no issues. Doesn’t fall off and taking it off after the run is easy as well. Recommend every runner to use this.
Despite the wife laughing at me whenever I wear these nipple covers they’re great. I’ve tried a few types and these are far the best out there. Especially if you suffer with friction on the nipples. Great when wearing a hydration pack or getting wet and sweaty. Highly recommend these
Swear by these nip guards, run marathknsxall over the world and had loads of finish photos with blood on the shirt from bleeding nippy. (Ouch) these really work and never had them dropnoff. Finished ultras when running 8 hrs or more and still in place. Works for me.
I was very sceptical that these “nip guards” would work as well as the blurb seems to suggest. However seeing plenty of good reviews and being tired of sore nipples decided to give it a go.
I am one of nature’s sweaters, you could put me in the Arctic and I would be soaking wet after a 2 minute stroll. I therefore struggle when training for long runs (thankfully I have never hit the point where blood is running down my front). I’ve tried lots of stuff to stop it but all of them failed.
Step in Ron Hill Nip Guards, I have just been out for an 18k run in 19/20 degree heat and they worked brilliantly. Absolutely no chafing whatsoever.
Whatever they make the glue out of is incredible, the guards did not move at all. However on getting home, it wasn’t agony pulling them off.
The only downside with these is they are a one time only use product so could end up expensive if you have to use them very regularly. They are also probably not very good for the environment for the same reason.
In all though I have to say I am very impressed and they will definitely be part of my kit for any long run.
I know Amazon recommend uploading a photo for reviews, but I don’t think any of you need to have that inflicted on you.
A must have product from those who suffer from chaffing!! They work excellently.
Only one minor issue I encountered was a couple of them didn’t peel off the plastic backing correctly and couldn’t be used.
Been using these for over a year now. 1 x marathon and 3 x halves later they are now staple part of my distance running kit. Before using these i used to get horrendous chafe and nothing would help. Plasters fell off, gels and lubs don’t cut it on anything more than about 10km (I probably sweat more than average). These lasted a full marathon without budging and stop the ol’ nip bleed. If you suffer, but them and thank me later.
I suffered from bleeding nipples on my first 10k. I have since used these for another 10k and the Great North Run on Sunday. I have a decent chest rug but they stayed in place throughout. It was a hot sweaty day and even when running through the showers they didn’t budge. Highly recommended if you, like me, have suffered previously.
I bought some of these last year and have just ordered another pack as I am ramping up the distance runs again.
I did not experience problems with them staying on (though you need to make sure you push any hairs away before applying. In fact, I found I could use each one twice!
Not cheap but 13 to save a lot of pain is value to me!
Recommended.
I found these and now my problems are solved. Much more comfortable than plasters.
A bit expensive, hence 4 stars.
Overall, these are a very effective way to protect your precious nipples while out running.
So the next question is how much must it hurt to get these off? Well the answer is they simply pell off with no pain at all.
Yes, I’m well aware these two features should not work together but this is how they work and they are great.
ops – forgot to mention they really do a good job at protecting your nipples!
Simple but clever idea. Not sure how sticky they are though … had no problem during my first 10 miler in them but they sure came off easier than expected which slightly concerned me if they would go the distance on longer runs. Might be worrying needlessly though, so far so good.
Costing about a pound per run they are rather expensive so I tend to use them only for longer runs and manage with surgical tape on anything under 10km. The price is the only thing keeping me from giving 5 stars.
