I love how easy these crafts are and no prep involved. They take 5-15 min. You can easily adapt each activity for multiple kids and even have some materials left over. These are fun and really cute crafts, the kids loved them!
When my daughter opened the slime, it spill all over her clothes and the carpet. It was not just a little liquid, it was basically stinky water. The rest were ok.
Update: The seller reached out almost immediately to refund and I was happy with that.
My 7 year old daughter picked this out with her birthday money and absolutely loved it! We had a slight issue with one of the items in the kit. The seller had reached out to me to make sure I had received the item and that everything was good, I let them know about the minor issue and they immediately took action to correct it. I would absolutely order from this seller again based on a good quality product and wonderful customer service.
I got this for my 8-year old son & I to do some more crafts together since he really enjoys making crafty things with me…we’ve made before a “fairy door,” cards, suncatchers, sand art, sticker art, etc…& I think this is a really good craft kit! Especially since it isn’t “just one craft!” So it’s more hours of fun! He’s told me multiple times how much he loves this kit & how much he’s loved making the crafts together! I’ve had fun doing it with him too! It’s great that there’s so many easy craft ideas/items in the kit, but the storage box doesn’t take up much space holding it all!
I also like that the craft ideas in it are pretty simple & not too messy! We’ve used this kit 3 different times so far making craft items & we still have some items left in the kit to complete…so this could literally keep a couple of kids busy together for hours, or you could split the crafts up into doing each one on different days! So I like that it’s something that can last for more than just “one use” & that it has a variety of different crafts in it so that it holds a child’s interest & really provides hours of fun! 🙂
It’s great it all comes in a handy, sturdy, reusable container too. (I just wish it was a different color than red though…that’s our least favorite color lol.) And I wish the kit had come with more of the squeeze glitter (since it’s fun), googly eyes, & more beads for making bracelets. (There’s only enough beads in the kit for making 2 bracelets, just fyi)…so they should’ve included more beads just in case this kit is being shared between more than 2 kids, so just be aware you may wish to supply more beads if more than 2 children will be using this craft kit!
Also, the beads that were included in our kit were mostly shades of pinks, reds, & oranges…with just a few yellow, green, blue, & purple beads. I’m sure the manufacturer probably assumed that mostly “girls” will be using this craft kit, but my son loves making things & I got this for my son & we were disappointed how few “boy” colors of beads were in the kit…there weren’t many blue or green beads, or even yellow & purple beads. But overall it’s alright since he’s very happy with the kit as a whole! And then I realized we have other beads of the same shape/size from bead necklaces he has, so we can always use some of the other beads we have to make new bracelets, or to change the colors of the 2 bracelets we already made for my son. (And I bet most girls probably already have other beads too, in case you want more beads/colors than what’s provided in this kit!) 🙂
Also, know that the refrigerator magnets are a bit more “girl-oriented” as well (the magnets are the same as shown in the ad’s photos: a rainbow, unicorn, ice cream cone, owl, & a “cat mermaid”) but they all worked well for my son anyways since he likes rainbows, & we have cats (so the “cat mermaid” magnet was actually the first one he chose to make) & he loves ice cream so he made the ice cream magnet & the owl magnet, and I made the rainbow one! 🙂
The “stained glass suncatchers” were a really cool & unique craft idea in the kit making “suncatchers” out of clear sticky paper & tissue paper (& we added glitter from the kit to our suncatchers as well!) It was also nice the kit included envelopes & white card stock paper you fold in half to make cards since my son already likes making cards for our relatives (since they all live in a different state as us) so I have him mail them “thank you” cards, etc. So that was perfect for us that the kit includes card-making supplies! (Plus it’s nice to teach kids that kindness of giving cards to others to show that they care, or to “thank” someone, or for a holiday/birthday, etc.)
I had fun making everything with my son so far & we have yet to use the clay & slime, so it’s really turning out to be a lot of hours of nice activities for us & he’s really loving it! Craft kits AREN’T “just for girls!” Even boys can enjoy them!! Especially if you home school your child & need to provide some “art activities” for them & if you want some that aren’t as messy as painting. I like that this isn’t a “painting” type of craft kit, which can be a messy endeavor sometimes lol.
This has a lot of simple, colorful crafts in just one handy kit, so you really can’t beat it for the price! Everything in the kit is mostly separated nicely with ziploc bags as well, which is handy for keeping the craft items separate & organized. And the instruction booklet is colorful & easy for a child/parent to follow.
I also like that it included things like colorful buttons, stickers, & the thin markers. The thin markers made it easy for my son to color in the small lines/pictures of the magnets. And all kids like stickers & they’re a nice, easy “add on” for quickly adding “pops” of color to the crafts & cards. And my son thinks the buttons are pretty cool & he’s enjoyed gluing them onto just about everything he makes lol.
The only thing I’ve added to the kit so far of our own was that we’ve been using Elmer’s glue out of a bottle instead of the glue stick included in the kit. (In my experience “glue sticks” just aren’t very sticky, except for holding just paper items together.) So for making the butterflies, “pom pom” caterpillars, & gluing buttons, etc…we’ve used regular Elmer’s glue instead of the glue stick. I just didn’t bother with the glue stick at all since in the past, glue sticks didn’t work well for others craft items we’ve made when you’re trying to glue “fabric” type of items together or onto paper, or for gluing larger/heavier items like buttons, etc. So that’s my only suggestion is that you really probably should have regular glue on hand just in case you need it/choose to use it instead of the glue stick for making sure the crafts stay glued together & aren’t falling apart shortly afterwards from using something like a glue stick. (We let all of our glued crafts dry completely overnight as well before hanging them up.)
This is just a really great gift for any child I think~boy or girl! And it’s something nice for siblings to do together, or to do it with your child/children as a family activity, or for a child doing it with a friend for something different to do, etc. This has been honestly one of the best “toy” items I’ve gotten my son so far & he has A LOT of toys, so it’s saying a lot that he really likes this craft kit so much! So I’m definitely going to keep finding more crafts for us to do together! Crafts seem to be one of his favorite things to do! 🙂
I got this as an activity for my 4yo birthday.
There’s absolutely a lot of art materials here and kept all the kids busy and entertained for almost an hour.
The only suggestion I have is to include more slime. Luckily we bought additional slime separately. The kids all enjoyed using the slime as the center of their masterpieces.
This is a great gift for elementary aged kids. There’s so much they can do with this kit. Everything came as pictured. I love that it comes in a storage box with a lid! We got another box like this as a gift and it was in a cardboard box and the pieces were always falling out. This makes a really great gift for elementary aged kids or any crafty kid you know. $20 is a good price but watch for sales and coupons.
If you’re wondering how to or more fairly young kids occupied, you might try this craft set. It has everything you need to make a lot of different crafts. Markers, colored pencils, scissors, stickers and lots more. It’s a lot better way to spend a rainy afternoon then watching television.
This is a great starter kit for crafting. It comes with all kinds of thing like markers, stickers, scissors, glitter, google eye, and more! this will keep me and the family occupied for a couple hours and great for family night. The supplies all seem to be decent quality and gives you good ideas on what to create. Perfect for any artist and creativity!
My 5 year old was in heaven! She loves this kit! It comes with so many awesome crafting supplies (scissors, stickers, slime, glitter, glue, popsicle sticks and the list goes on). It comes in a very nice storage case and comes with a booklet that has different craft ideas.
This craft kit is going to be a hit when the grands come over. It has so many activities that will keep a 3 year and 7 year old busy for a long time. I’m very please with this Amazon find.
This set is great for arts and crafts and it came with so much stuff, even scissors, glue and markers! Great for little kids projects and it’s so fun for crafting. The included book sheet has so many great ideas and are easy to put together. Loved the quality of everything and the case to store them in.
