Purchased it to replace a corded one that finally gave up, we have other OXO products and the quality is always good. Love the compact size and the brake. It also will do herbs as well.
I am surprised to say that I needed this. Its a good size for 2 – 4 pple. It saves times drying fruit, salad & veg which is what I wanted it for. Easy to use and clean.
Bought the large one a few years ago and it was a little cumbersome. Saw the smaller one and it is much more user friendly and fits easily in the cupboard. Would recommend.
Bought to replace one I’d had for at least 20 years. This is very easy to use & the button presses in flat for storage. Spins fast & you can press the button a few times on the trot for a thorough spin. I only ever rinse or wipe the top: if you get water inside the funnel it takes ages to dry & could be prone to going mouldy.
Lid and stop button feel slightly cheap but the plastic bowl is nice and thick and strong. Appearance is smart and smooth. Easy to store and put away. Easy to clean and dry quickly. Would recommend
From the most novice kitchen inhabitants to the accomplished home chefs, a practical and high-functioning kitchen appliance is always a welcome addition. The OXO Good Grips Salad Spinner does not just fulfil the promise of efficiency; it stands as a quintessential companion in preparing refreshing salads. Taking a deep dive into its features and real-world applicability, it becomes evident that this appliance has been crafted with the utmost understanding of a kitchen aficionado’s needs.
Effortless Operation
One of the most standout features is undeniably the one-handed pump mechanism that this salad spinner affords its users. It is no exaggeration to state that it revolutionizes the salad-drying process, significantly reducing the physical effort traditionally associated with this task. The patented brake enhances safety by halting the spinner basket instantly with a mere press, a function that not only speaks to the thoughtful design but also adds to the delight of using this appliance.
Multi-Functional and Convenient
* Storage Lock: The storage lock is a feature that ensures the pump remains flush with the lid, thus optimizing it for stacking and storing. This function appreciates the premium on space in modern kitchens, a true testament to OXO’s understanding of contemporary needs.
* Non-Skid Base: The non-skid base reassures that stability is maintained throughout its usage, eliminating the annoyance of a wobbling base which is a common gripe with other salad spinners.
* Versatile Bowl and Basket: Its design considers the multifaceted role a bowl can play in the kitchen. The spinner basket doubles as a colander, simplifying the process of rinsing vegetables. Simultaneously, the durable clear bowl can serve a dual role, as a storage or serving bowl, hence reducing the number of dishes one has to wash afterward.
Ease of Cleaning
Despite the complex mechanism it houses, the OXO salad spinner offers easy cleaning as its lid comes apart, ensuring that one can maintain hygiene without undergoing a strenuous cleaning process.
Reliable Customer Service
The OXO Better Guarantee promises a solution in case of an unforeseen issue with the product, portraying the brand’s confidence in the product and their readiness to stand by it. This adds an extra layer of trust and reliability when purchasing this item.

This is the best quality salad spinner I’ve ever had. It’s so robust and the quality of the plastic is excellent. Very happy with my purchase of the Oxo spinne
As good as it claims to be. Perfect size for side salad for 2 people or plateful of salad for 1. The full size one is huge but this one is only a little smaller than most salad spinners I’ve seen in the shops.
Amazingly easy to use, especially as I have arthritis in my fingers. I expected good things from this, as I have other Oxo Good Grips kitchen things & it didn’t disappointed. I went for the plastic bowl, as it was lighter & also quite a bit cheaper. Very pleased.
Wow, what a great salad spinner I have had a few of these. I’ve had a manual one which you turn around with your hand and for someone who has arthritis it is very hard you get pain in your risk after a few spins having this is a fantastic advantage. All I have to do is just push and push and push and round and round it goes. There is a break as well, easy to clean, highly recommended. Great company definitely buy again. In fact I’ve just bought one for my mum thank you
This spinner really works . It is so easy to use and the push down mechanism does all the work for you. Having the bowl too which collects all the water can then be used as a serving bowl. Mainly use for spinning
fresh herbs and lettuce. My main tip would be that you should not put too much in the spinner at any one time. Highly recommend.
I’d been wanting a salad spinner for ages when I happened upon this one. It was the name Oxo that convinced me to choose this one as I have several Oxo tools and they are fabulous – gadgets that actually work, and work well. Yes, a little on the expensive side but you really do get what you pay for, quality items that look set to last and this is no different. I went for the smaller spinner as it is only me at home but this little thing could easily prepare enough salad for 3/4 people I’d say. Fast as you can press spin and good functioning stop button also, sturdy on the counter top when in use. Easy as to clean and looks to be dishwasher safe. Doesn’t take up a lot of room in the cupboards either, I love it! Very pleased and highly recommend this for singletons and small families.
As soon as I received the spinner I put it to work. Produced a lovely fresh salad, no damage to the leafy items. I bought the glass bowl version and so glad I did; from spin to table saving time and less washing up. We had some salad left so just put the lid on a stored in the fridge and the salad was just as fresh the following day!
This is a really nice product. Made very well with what looks like good quality material, feels good in your hands and robust. I have used the item a number of times now and haven’t been disappointed once, seems to get all the excess water off that it was designed to do. alright, I’ve had one other salad spinner in the past, but this is far better than my old one..
Hope this helps.
Just like the other Oxo products for the kitchen – not the cheapest, but definitely well made, sturdy and fit for the purpose advertised. Will spin sufficient salad for about 3 adults, so I wouldn’t even think of getting the larger size. Just wash the salad, spin half and then repeat and plenty for a family of 6. Why use extra storage space when this is very efficient and quick? Also great if you want to wash a handful of herbs before chopping and using.
Despite my husband laughing at me and saying he didn’t think it was THAT important to dry lettuce, I am super happy with my purchase! I use it for everything from spinach and lettuce to strawberries and baby tomatoes – it does help produce keep in the fridge longer (no wet and soggy lettuce!).
Easy to use (the pump action design is effortless) and it stores well, as the top ‘handle’ locks down into place. Worth the price, great compact size and it makes me smile every time I use it. LOL!
I purchased this to entice me to remove the salad from the pre-washed packets to rinse in water – it really does increase the longevity of the salad.
I bought the smaller one of the two based on previews amazon reviewers recommendations and the size is perfect based on a standard sized salad package you get from the supermarkets. I’ve attached a picture of the size I used.
The product’s mechanism is akin to an old fashioned toy tin spinning top. With the right timing, you can really crank it up and get some speed to dispel the water. The bottom of the basin has got good grip to give you some purchase.
The whole thing is easy to clean/rinse and the the top spinning part comes apart to remove some of the smaller bits of salad that may get caught in the mechanism.
The part that you push down to engage the spinning process collapses in and sits flush with the lid of the device meaning that it can stored easily in the fridge without taking up too much room.
It’s really a nice thought through product and a washed salad does last a lot longer.
One last comment – some reviewers have broken the mechanism and although I don’t personally think it feels fragile, like the old toy spinning top, timing is everything.
