I have so much fun with Pikim in the past and this one is no exception. Tons of fun, amazing gameplay, good graphics, challenging and a game that you will spend hours and hours.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI bought this for my 15-year-old son and he absolutely loves it. He’ll play the two player with his brother and they get on like a house on fire. They just seem to chill out together and have fun. What more could you want from a game for your children, something they like playing, relaxing and chills them out. 100% winner in my eyes!

If you enjoyed any of the previous installments of the Pikmin series, you are sure to love this. It’s familiar characters, settings, objects, and gameplay will feel comfortable, but there is enough news here to keep everything fresh and exciting.

This is one of the few games, like it’s predecessors, that I will likely complete several times over.

A really great game. Wasn’t expecting it to be as much fun as it was. Played through to completion and plenty to keep you going.
Kids really enjoyed playing along with this game. One of the best games of 2023, in my opinion.

Being an avid lover of Pikmin, this is an outstanding addition to the series and looks beautiful. The dev’s have gone above and beyond with this game, it’s extremely immersive and has a great length. They’ve managed to capture the feeling of being a tiny one inch person so well, and gives an amazing perspective. Pikmin 4 is the only game that I’ve completed 100%, and makes it totally rewarding to do so, as there’s so much depth to this game, so much variety in the levels, numerous nods to previous games and I truly believe most players who enjoy this will also 100% the game.
However, though this game is outstanding and I cannot sing it’s praises enough, there are a few very minor down sides this game gives. Number one being the co-op mode, and if you’re looking to Pikmin 4 after playing Pikmin 3 co-op, then this wont offer that. Number two being the lack of online multiplayer – The mini game dandoori battles are so fun, and can only be played couch co-op. This is a shame, as I believe that there would actually be good e-sport gaming with the dandoori battles, as there’s so much strategy involved. Thirdly, the “Help me!” function if you’re struggling in dandoori battles just completes the dandoori battle for you. It doesn’t bring a character alongside you to help you along, which is what I believe they intended the help function to do originally. Finally, this game lacks the difficulty that Pikmin 2 gives. It’s not as easy as most of Nintendo’s recent releases for the past few years, but still is easily achievable – Though saying this, this makes it totally newbie friendly to anyone who hasn’t delved in the franchise. I hope that in the future that Nintendo will update this with difficulty modes like they did with Pikmin 3 (Though that was horrifically easy..).
All the downsides being said, they are very minor for me and my only niggles about the game. I’m in awe of this game otherwise. I really hope that Pikmin 4 does well, and we get this quality of Pikmin and other Nintendo games in the future.

I’ve played hundreds of video games in my life, and this one is easily in my top 10 of all time. In the game you play as a member of the Rescue Corps on a mission to rescue your fellow members from an unknown planet. Along the way you meet many types of Pikmin who help you on your adventure. They can help you carry objects, fight creatures and more. If you are unsure if you’d like it, there’s a demo on the Nintendo E-Shop.

This is an all-around fantastic game. It maintains the simple gameplay mechanics of Pikmin 1 but also features the wide variety of Pikmin seen in the later games. The depth of the content is outstanding, with a post-game that is almost as well designed as the main storyline. I’ve put in hours and still haven’t finished it.

It takes a while to complete and even then, there are tasks that can be redone and you can beat your scores. It’s definitely been worth waiting for and I’ve binged it – about to play it through for second time. If you loved the last games, you’ll adore this.

The game looks beautiful, very similar to 3. Mechanics work well, and the introduction of Oatchi is cool!
2 player isn’t all that. Sure, the pellet shooter 2nd player is fun to get young kids involved, but you’ll feel disappointed as a seasoned player.
The third game of the season has a better options for two players (Bingo Battle, Treasure Collector etc) whereas Dandori Battles in 4 packs. Maybe future updates may improve this.

Fun for gamers of all ages
also you think the game is over and then there is even more to play!

Golden Review Award: 10 From Our UsersI’ve never completed a Pikmin game before, despite enjoying each one for the time i spent playing it. Before pikmiing up this 4th instalment in the series i thought a bit about why that might be, because Pikmin is such a joy, and so creative and fresh as a game.

Well whatever Nintendo have done with 4, i’m being drawn back to play each day and to look forward to the next time i can play it. For what the game is like, i would suggest trying the demo, which is quite a linear tutorial at first but hands over the reigns as you go, and by the end of it i for one was hooked and happy to be exploring more freely.

A key thing i personally like about Pikmin 4 is that while each day is a certain length i’m not rushed to complete the overall mission in a time limit, which means i can explore more stress-freely, which is great for me as i’m more a casual gamer and don’t enjoy forced time limits. There are side-quest-like timed mini-games that test one’s skills in faster-paced efficient Pikminic hunter-gathering activity though, and having them off to the side like this is for me is just right.

Another key thing i think is the story and with that the number of NPCs you encounter, including building up the numbers of your team as part of the overall mission/ story. It feels so much more like a co-operative endeavour than previously. I haven’t tried the local co-op yet and i hope it doesn’t lack, but i think any extra to the single-player experience is a bonus anyway so no bother.

It may be these two things that are drawing me back to the game each day. Whatever magic the developers added this time i’m glad that Pikmin 4 is just like this.

It’s a really great game. It’s my first time playing Picmin and I think it’s fantastic! The only thing I find boring is the second one in two player mode. Because the manoeuvre is a shooting star, it’s actually often in a dispensable state, and the second player won’t have any effect even if he hangs up.Certainly, I play with my 5 year old and she thinks it’s fine and not stressful. If this second player could be like Wadoodle dee in “Kirby”, it would be perfect.
