The RSHTECH Powered USB C Hub impresses with its good quality and seamless functionality, perfectly suited for its intended purpose. With four ports – two USB-A and two USB-C, boasting USB 3.1/3.2 Gen2 capabilities – this hub offers high-speed data transfer at 10Gbps. While its aluminium construction enhances durability and adds a touch of sophistication, its limited number of ports (only four) may be a bit restrictive for users with extensive connectivity needs. Additionally, its price point leans towards the higher end, which may deter budget-conscious buyers. However, the inclusion of a 5V power supply and a 2ft extended cable ensures convenience and flexibility in usage. Overall, the RSHTECH Powered USB C Hub is a reliable and efficient multiport adapter, albeit with some limitations in port availability and a slightly higher price tag.
Not a huge amount to say here except that this hub performs well, with actual data transfer speeds consistent with the manufacturer’s claimed throughput. The top-mounting option is a nice touch too, as actually this can reduce the desk footprint required. All in all a solid performer.
Plugging this into my quite old Dell laptop (work) – using it’s only USB-C port – allows me to plug in various other peripherals easily. Now I only need to plug in one cable when I go between home and office. Mouse and keyboard work perfectly – as does a solid state drive. There is a power cable allowing the hub to be provided with extra power if required – presumably for using devices requiring a heaver load (I’ve not yet encountered a need for that).
The hub itself is a neat little unit – two USB-A and two USB-C ports are provided – each of which can be enabled/disabled using a toggle switch. Being small gives it an advantage for transport and travel – but the flip side of that is that it generally will not “sit” where it is put as it is guided by the twists and turns of whatever cables are plugged into it.
A sleek aluminum hub with 4 ports, the RSH-A104C delivers a swift 10Gbps data transfer rate. Its dual USB-A and dual USB-C ports make connectivity a breeze. Plus, the included 2ft extended cable ensures flexibility. A 5-star companion for your tech setup!
This is a USB-C hub, with 2 x USB-A ports, and 2 x USB-C ports, which arrives in a sturdy, branded cardboard box.
I really like this hub. It’s well thought out and looks good. The body is largely made from aluminium, is sturdy and has a quality feel to it. I like the small rubber bars on the bottom, which stop it slipping around on the desk, and the individual on/off switches. The ports hold securely, and the cables are nicely made and a decent length. The transfer rates are smooth, quick, and as expected. It comes with an 18-month warranty, which is always a bonus.
At the time of writing this review, the cost is 29.99, with a potential 20% off voucher, and it’s worth every penny. Happy to recommend.
I love the build quality of this USB C Hub, made in all metal construction, tactile power buttons on each port and a very thick and strong USB C cable to connect it up to your console/laptop or desktop. Also supplied with a power supply for when your peripheral are power hungry, to ensure it all works optimally.
Tested and found it worked reliably and quickly, no issues at all, the small rubber feet on the base stopped the hub from sliding around, a great little unit.
Nice little USB hub. Each port can be turned on or off independently. The aluminium case disperse is the low level of heat generates can easily charge devices such as headphones, iPads, mice, etc and office, fast data transfer rates.
Would happily buy again, or recommend it to others
Spent more on a usb hub this time and surprisingly happier than expected. These are sturdy and are quality. 12v power instead of 5v is a bonus and individual on/off per port is more useful then I had imagined. I actually love it. Very pleased
This is a neat little hub and seems fast and consistent.
You can turn off individual ports so disconnect drives or devices that you do not want to use, without unplugging their leads.
Note that the top three ports ( the VERY fast ones ) are data only. It does tell you that in the advert, but I’d forgotten and so my GoPro would not charge overnight after the files had transferred.
I may buy another for work.
This hub arrived in a box with manual, 12V charging PSU and some other paper (warranty, satisfaction, etc)
The hub looked very stylish, all black with the buttons in front (unlike others having their in the back), this one was easy to access ON/OFF each port which was very handy.
Each port has a tiny little blue light next to it to indicate the if it has power or not.
Transfer speeds vary, with the USB-C it worked really fast, very similar to copying directly from my Mac, USB-A however was understandably slower (about 40% of the USB-C copying speed),
My only issue with this product is that I wish it had another USB-A port to replace my old hub, other than that it’s a very good unit and will use for now anyway.
My review is based around the current selling price of 33.29 with 10% off voucher available
Pros:
Well made
Great quality aluminium construction
Combination of 5x USB A and 2x USB C ports
3 ports at 10 Gbps!
4 ports at 5 Gbps!
Individual switching
LED lights
Lightweight
Cable has USB C to A converter
Cons:
Limited charging power
Recessed USB C ports might not accept some connectors depending on their desig
RSHTECH are amongst some of the best sellers on Amazon. Selling a product is one thing but when backed up by an outstanding tech support/After Sales service you cant go wrong!
As for the hub.. I purchased the 7 port hub (x2) but soon encountered a power problem which isn’t related to the RSHTECH HUB. More so of my/our mis-understanding on how usb hubs work. Bottom line is USB hubs are designed to pass data from multiple devices to a single usb port on your computer which will create power stability problems because most usb port supply a limited amount of power. So like myself if your planning to plugin 2 ipads then you really need to think about how you supply power to thoses devices. This is where understanding the power limits of USB come in. RSHTECH supply there hubs with power adapters but this is often to support lightweight devices such as usb stick hard drives charging an Xbox controller or even your mobile phone but when is comes to devices like ipads theses are power suckers and you will need to upgrade your power supply to accommodate.
If you do encounter power problems then drop RSHTECH an email outlining your system config and these guys will get back at you with a solution. This is where i see money well spent. I will in no doubt buy from these guys again!
Thank you!
We’ve been using this hub for a month now. It is an excellent hub. It oozes class with the silver trim and small blue LEDs to signify that the port is switched on.
The USB input cable is a very generous length and is switchable between USB-A and USB-C, shame the PSU doesn’t stretch to 2.5 or 3 amps.
This seems expensive for a powered USB hub, though this one is of fantastic quality, would definitely order another should the need arise.
This hub comes in simple packaging that does the job fine.
Here are my main pros and cons for this product:
Pro:
Metal build quality
Individual port switches
LED On indicators
3 x 10Gbps ports
Con:
Only 1 metre power cable
USB-C ‘deep’ ports
————-
So this follows the common layout of USB 3.0 7-port hubs, made of a block of 4 x USB 3.0 and a block of 3 x 10Gbps 3.1 and 3.2 ports (including USB-C).
It has a metal chassis and looks very nice. The buttons and LEDs work fine and are genuinely useful. The cable is a bit short for a powered hub. There’s another niggle from the USB-C ports, which are slightly recessed and will conflict with some types of cable moulding. Pointless style over function as far as I can tell.
Performance is fine, although power has quite a low limit of 24W (from a total of 12V 2A). This is where turning off ports comes in handy to keep the power up. Transfer speeds are well up to spec, no complaints there.
For the price of 30 (using the Amazon voucher on the page) I can say this is a good choice if you need this choice of ports, however make sure it’s going to give you enough power particularly if you are charging batteries or using SSDs.
This has a weighty feel to it, you can turn off and on each port that you wish to use, its very handy and am pleased with the quality. I can’t think of much negativity to say here. Recommended

Neat little hub that’s great for on the go. It still works even without power, although of course that give your laptop more work to do, but great if you just need to access a USB-A device on the go. At only 24W this isn’t going to charge your laptop, but with power it can handy small external hard drives, keyboards & mice without pulling on your laptops battery or over taxing the USB-C port. Having a couple of USB-C & a single USB-A 3.1 port means this is fast too.
Hope my review was helpful
This USB hub really makes a good first impression. I have seen so many hubs recently that are cheap and plastic, without any real substance, but this one is substantial, looks like it is built to last, and is extremely durable. The unit is fairly large with an aluminium casing, and this allows for the accommodation of port switches along one side and connection LEDs for each port. The metal casing is heavy-duty, and this hub really feels like you have obtained a proper piece of equipment, which it definitely is.
The hub comes with a USB-C cable and a USB-A adapter, which are tied to the strain relief so that they do not go missing. Outputs are split between five USB-A and three USB-A.C. This is slightly confusing, as all of the USB-A ports are blue and therefore rated for high power. I think that this is more of a division of the data specification, with the USB-A ports at 5 Gbps and the rest at 10 Gbps, including one of the USB-A ports. The connection lead is short, which minimises power and data problems between the port and the device and seems about right for where I need to place it when plugged into my desktop. The built-in USB-C ports are very convenient for connecting my phone.
The power supply is rated at 12 volts and 2 amps, giving 24 watts, of course. Hopefully, this translates to 5 volts at 4.8 amps in total. This amount will be shared between all of the charge ports. Therefore, this unit is not designed with charging in mind but to allow you to power peripheral devices such as keyboards, trackpads, and the like. The ports are all USB3.0 and USB3.1 for data and are coloured blue to match the USB specification.
The button system down the side works well, and the device seems to remember which devices were activated between powering down and powering up again. All very convenient. With its combination of quality and functionality, this hub is well worth five stars. It is not cheap, but sometimes you pay for what you get.
Works exactly as expected. Originally, my only criticism was the slightly short connection lead to the computer. It’s a bit too long for a laptop, but a bit too short for desktop. Luckily, I have a cable port on my desk and I can just about sit the hub on my desk with the lead reaching the PC. There is very little spare flex. The power plug is also slightly annoying, as it is one of those that extends upward, so interferes with other plugs on an extension gang. But, those niggles aside, this is a good product. However, I have also found that the slightly recessed USB-C sockets mean that USB-C memory card readers cannot fit into the sockets. Very annoying.
This is a useful USB hub with the advantage of being USB 3.2 10 Gbps on three of the seven ports.
These are the two USB C ports and the first five USB A ports.
The remaining four are USB 3.0, which for no good reason I can see, is now sometimes called USB 3.1.
The performance is still a theoretical 5Gbps, so USB 3.0. This is then a reasonable compromise of older and newer standards.
Of course, this is still well behind USB 4 and Thunderbolt 4, but it is still a welcome upgrade and at a reasonable price – which, at the time of writing, is 36.99.
Each socket is switched, which has some utility. When on, there is a corresponding blue LED.
Also, the connecting lead comes with a USB C connector and an attached USB C to A adaptor, which is again useful.
The hub is also powered and comes with a power supply unit. While this is welcome, the design of this 12V unit is backward, so the bulk of the plug sits above the three pins, which is the opposite of the usual form; this can be a problem.
In conclusion, this is a good hub and is a useful addition to any desk space.
