Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersExcellent quality, along with looking good too! I bought the red one. One nice touch is it comes with a screwdriver, an extra silicone pad, a spare heatsink screw and a board locking screw. Really easy to put together and install.

Bought this for a WD Black 850 ssd drive for the Ps5, works out a lot cheaper to add a head sink your self with a regular drive, rather than buying a pre made heat sinked ssd, also very easy to do loads of video on YouTube to show how it’s done.. This is the ideal heat sink for ps5

4.0 out of 5 stars Good price, does the job well

Easy to install, woudve been nicer to have a magnetic screwdirver as the screws get all over the place. Makes a significant change in temperature when it is under load. I was getting 70 degrees before but now have lofe 50’s. When not under load my ide temp was 40 ish, now it is 30. Definitely worth buying as in terms of price the build quality is excellent.

It was easy to install and it works like a charm. Now my PS5 is cool and quiet, and I can enjoy my games without any distractions. The best part is that the heatsink also doubles as a toaster. I can make delicious toast while playing my favorite games. It’s a win-win situation. The only downside is that the toast sometimes gets stuck in the vents, but that’s a minor issue. I highly recommend this product to anyone who loves gaming and toast.

Could have done with assembly instructions but worked it out. Recommend doing a test assembly before you commit to sticking down the thermal pads. One thermal pad seemed a little longer then required so you may need some scissors to trim slightly down not that you’d see it when installed!

Used this as I bought an ssd card for my PS5. This fit and worked perfectly.

It came with a screw and multiple strips of tape to secure the card. Was fairly straightforward.

This heatsink fits really nicely and keeps my m.2 nice and cool I got this as I used the supplied heat shield on the SSD in the middle slot but I got another SSD for the to slot so I decided to put the original heat shield back at the top and purchase this one for the middle slot and it works great it’s also a super low profile which is perfect as my GPU sits over that slot but that does not affect temps its really well made I’d definitely recommend this item

5.0 out of 5 stars Good temps and fits nicely

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersNeeded some more space on my PS5, as some of you will know the internal SSD on the PlayStation is just not enough when you have the likes of GTA V or Call of Duty installed.

I’m not as tech savvy as I used to be and always held back on the idea of messing around with things like SSD and anything that resembles circuitry as I’m notorious for breaking things.

However, I was fed up with having to constantly delete games so I went ahead and ordered the 1TB SSD on sale (54.98) and it has been well worth the purchase!

Firstly it only took like 5 minutes to install, that’s including attaching a heat sink (has to be bought separately and is suggested for use inside PS5), watching YouTube tutorials and fiddling around taking the PS5 apart, you literally slot it in like an old school memory card and secure it in place with one little screw, done.

Seems more than fast enough, took 60 seconds to move 100gb of data over to it and loads up GTA at least twice as fast and the internal SSD would! Also the PS5 reads the usable storage as exactly 1TB so bang on. Time will tell if it lasts without slowing down but it’s been about a week so far and zero complaints.

So if you’re like me and have been constantly deleting games to reinstalling them to manage the poor storage on your PS5, I would definitely recommend this!

5.0 out of 5 stars Works great with PS5

Thermal pads, selection of screws, very smart little magnetic tipped screw drivers all packaged surprisingly well.
Way more than anyone could ask for at this price. Along with great build quality. The tolerances and finish are to a high quality.

Not sure if it’s actually benefiting my NVMe drive as temps seem the same with or without, (40ish degrees C), may be better heat capacity when under load etc.

Easyish to fit, but very dependant on your mobo/setup, mine was annoying fiddly 🙂

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersNvme is under a 3090 right next to the pcie slot. It was running at 60c idle and 70c in games or rendering. A bit too warm.

I thought the height would be a problem. But it fits snuggly.

After installation it is now 44c idle, and 55c in games.

    Worked a treat.

Rebuilt my gaming rig and have temperature control issues in the office so trying to cool as much as I can.

Easy to install, both on the drive and installing the drive with the heatsink on.

No baseline/benchmark before cooler comparison. But I’ve had no issues, even when my office reaches 30+ ambient.

I have now brought 3 of these
It arrives in the simple branded box on removing your meet with everything you need to get going

I have to say I’m might impressed as for a 7.99 (what I paid for it) heatsink it’s kept my 980 Pro 1 TB NVME pretty cool. Well, at average temps of 47 degrees celcius and max operating temps of 52 degrees celcius (regardles of ambient temps) in comparison to potential ran away temps at 80 degrees plus… it’s pretty cool lol but this also depend on the type of case and fans your running, my set up is the Corsair iCUE 4000X RGB with which im running 4 Corsair iCUE LL120 RGB LED PWM plus 2 in the liquid cooling for my CPU Corsair iCUE H100i ELITE CAPELLIX Liquid CPU Cooler allowing for max air flow.

These are well made and very lightweight, they are durable and really easy to install, once your drive is in and you have applied the thermal pads and locked the parts in place with the screws provided your all good to go.

Highly recommended, at the time of writing this review the price is 7.99 and even at the price I still recommend it.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersAdded this to a NVME drive for the PS5 and while it works it is slightly too high and I’m unable to put the heat sink cover back over the NVME drive so it may be worth looking for a slightly slimmer model.
That said I’ve been using the drive so far without the cover and haven’t had any issues on the PS5.

This heatsink fits into the space in the PS5.
I found a couple of videos on youtube which shows how to do the installation and it was straightforward.
The tip I would mention is do not follow the picture on the heatsink box for a PS5 installation.
Simply offer up the memory to the opening and check which way up it needs to be for the slot in the connector to be in the right place. That tells you the orientation for the memory card in the heatsink.

Good built heatsink. Hugely flawed design.

Difficult to assemble to good precision. Design is such that you do analogue guess work pressure on your sensitive drive and seems cannot press anywhere near perfect connection without putting second strip on the top layer of drive. That might be too high pressure on the drive, due lever while screwing plus spacing, so used only one strip on top and one in the bottom. No possibility to install this heatsink safely and precisely – only guesswork. Result, about 8 degree warmer than my other nvme drive. But. Several factors which cannot be compared, placing in chasis, size of drive and use. Still well within limit under heavy load. Reaching to 72C constant, and 76C spike.

Device looks absolute perfect, expensive make. Havent seen such quality in such cheap item in a long time.

Instructions are limited and I ended up aligning my SSD with the back edge of the mounting body which is what I guessed was implied by the ‘alignment’ arrows printed on the sheetmetal part. However this positioned the SSD too far back which then meant I couldn’t fully close the PS5 metal cover plate without putting excess pressure on the heatsink. I then ended up having to realign everything so that the SSD was as far forward as possible to ensure there was enough clearance for the cover plate to close. Was all a bit fiddly in the end as had to keep checking it wasn’t going to clash. Sure it would have probably worked the first time I fitted it but I just wasn’t happy knowing that it was being constantly pushed down by the cover plate.
Other than that I assume it’s keeping the SSD cool

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersPicked this up to go with my WD black sn850, which I managed to pick up cheaper without a heat sink and who knows when heat sink version will be in stock. Im not into modding, or technical stuff, but it was pretty simple to attach the heatsink. The sizing is a tiny bit off – a little too big, so you need to make sure you position the surplus to the screw in end, so you’re not covering up the connection point. One minor thing to note for anyone installing – when you plug the SSD into the ps5, it sits at an angle. You need to remove the little nut screw from the ps5 and sit the SsD on it before screwing. It’ll make sense when you do it, just saying not to panic. Oh yeah, everything fit, closed, and seems to be working fine, so no issues here.
