My 5 year old grandaughter absolutely loved receiving this for a gift. She was excited that she had a doll like her friends. She loves playing with this doll and accessories, loves the colored hair she can brush and play with, and change outfits. The color coordinating hair/outfits is nice too. This gift seemed a little pricey, but all in all a wonderful gift.
The first time I saw Skyler, i knew I had to get her! From her beautiful blue eyes to her full lips and silver make up, Skyler is a must- have! Her sketchbook is highly detailed with the 3 sketches of her runway look and her little blue pen! Unfortunately, the purse does not open,but that’s OK! Besides the facial features and accessories,her dress really steals the show! It is highly detailed with the denim fabric and the brown stitching,along with the small diamonds that really complete the outfit! her shoes are a basic indigo, but have an classic RH symbol on it. the second outfit dress is very similar to the first dress, despite the fact that it is off-shoulder and has pockets. In conclusion,Skyler is a beautiful doll and I 100% recommend her to any RH fan! I hope you found this review helpful and have a very nice day!
I hate to say anything negative about my favourite doll line, but the Skylar I received has several defects. There is some kind of rough little hole in her leg. The heel on one of her shoes is not right, causing it to slip and splay. . But the one that makes me most sad is a very large chip in her lip. On the left and centre of her bottom lip. Since it is too difficult to send stuff back I am going to have to try to paint it, which is scary since I’m not an artist, plus my paint colour will be different and without the delicate sparkles. It makes me very sad indeed because in order to buy beautiful dollies I do without nearly everything…no air conditioning etc. That’s why I gave three stars, but as to the beauty of this dolly, she gets much more than five stars. She is gorgeous.
Edit: My paint job turned out pretty nice, after all. I managed to mix a colour that’s close to her lip colour, the strokes are minimal One can’t tell unless staring closely. So she got an extra star because I love her so much, but one star taken away since the chip in her lip was so large and glaring.
my daughter doesn’t really watch the rainbow high show, she does however love dolls. this particular one is very bright and vibrant. my daughter absolutely loves her curls. she also likes the extra outfit and little sketchpad. the doll is a decent size and fully articulated which is nice.
like the other rainbow high doll i got this one also has gel in her hair. with this one however my daughter decided not to wash it out as she was concerned the curls would disappear.
the additional accessories are a nice added bonus and give her a bit more playability as you can change her look. my daughter wasn’t too thrilled with the included stand as she would rather play with her. however the stand seems decent for display purposes and was not included with the other doll. overall i would say its a well made, really pretty doll that would make a nice gift.
Such a beautiful doll! She comes with 2 outfits, 1 pair of shoes, 4 hair clips, a purse, a sketchbook with pen, and a stand. She doesn’t have earrings. She does have long nails that are somewhat soft so they won’t break easy and they are awesome! She also has real lashes. I feel the price is acceptable compared to other sets. The purse has a alot of detail (does not open) and there is ALOT of hair on her, the back is softer then the front that has most the glue but it is fully curled. Love her!
No complaints at all, I was pleasantly surprised that this doll was a lot bigger than I had initially anticipated. I’m fairly sure traditional 12 inch doll clothes won’t fit this particular doll but comes with its own accessories anyways. Very detailed artwork on the doll and the hair is flexible and style able.
This is one of the best Skyler dolls, I think the style is even better than her winter break doll, the heels, the dress and fabric purse are gorgeous and very detailed she feels worth the price, definitely need more dolls with curly hair.
This Skyler Bradshaw doll arrived perfect in the box. The face paint is flawless and her curly hair is out of this world! The dress that she came in needed a little steaming on the back and her hair needed a little fluffing (box hair). The denim fashions have nice details and her purse and shoes are the perfect accessories, *note that the bag does not open. Skyler’s hair has beautiful curls and four shades of blue. I wouldn’t recommend this particular doll for a child who likes brushing and styling doll hair, it could become a tragedy. She is a lovely addition to the ever growing RH collection.
I am a new collector (a little bit of a latecomer to Rainbow/Shadow High) of the doll community and surprisingly enough was never into dolls when I was younger, but I think the combination of the awesome clothes and the many features of these dolls (i.e. eyelashes, nails, inset “anime-like” eyes) has made me a full fledged lover of these dolls!!! Skylar is absolutely beautiful in this set and I am extremely glad I decided to wait a bit more to get the Fantastic Fashion instead of her other series of dolls! My Skylar came in perfectly no messed up face or make-up and she didn’t come in crossed eyed either!! So a win for Amazon this time! No matter who from this doll line I get I am never able to get over how gorgeous these dolls are!! If you are a newcomer like me and missed out on any of Skylar’s other releases or any of the other Series 1 dolls releases then definitely get them this time around!! The level of quality from MGA has dramatically improved over the years and I can’t wait for more from them!!! Highly recommend!!
